  1. Well you tried and found out the APPS sensor was actual bad in the mid part of the rheostat. Well thanks for trying...
  2. It need to boot up the software to even turn on the wait to start light. So if the software isn't booted into memory the ECM isn't functioning and the light won't come on.
  3. Check the spring and make sure the ball isn't being push back in the coils of the spring. What I did was crushed the last coil slightly to prevent the check ball from sneaking back into the coils giving the low fuel pressure.
  4. Rarely... I mean RARELY have I ever seen anyone get there ECM back from a rebuilder that actually works. If it does come back working then most times it last for short time and fails again. So as for reliable source of a ECM is the Dodge Dealer. Sad but true... The only one of this site I know of that got lucky was CajFlynn he got some fly by night place to rebuild his ECM and it actually still working the last I knew.
  5. Some do and some don't. Like ScanGauge II and Ultra Gauge does. But standard OBDII reader most likely will not. Then there is other upper end OBDII readers like SnapOn, etc.
  6. Exactly... I would like to add in one other component to this mix which is timing. It's a fine art of fuel, air, and timing. Get it figured out for your driving habits, and loads you'll have a truck with good MPG but produces goobs of HP/TQ with little smoke.
  7. I don't understand why someone like me doesn't have these weird issues like cracked manifold, 5th gear nut, death wobble, etc. But then someone that is citified and doesn't do much with there truck has all the problems? :shrug:Just weird...
  8. I've got a Harbor Freight Ball Joint Press it works but not exactly perfect. I will press the joints out of the axle but it takes a bit of creative thinking to make it happen.
  9. I'll take a peek at the gasser IAT and the diesel IAT and compare them tomorrow...
  10. Keep us posted on what you learn about the Ultra Gauge.
  11. Need to replace the other one because the older battery will ruin the newer battery. So you need to go over the CCD network wiring and check all the connectors. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/general-cummins/34-engine-system/81-ccd-data-bus
  12. Stay safe and drive carefully...
  13. I did not vote because my morals tell me not to vote for the lesser of the two evils. If they are both evil why vote. :duh:As for that lady things like that upsets me big time. I work hard to earn my money. I have never filed for un-employment I don't want any free hand outs. I've always found a away to earn money to pay my bills. Then to have this ______ woman get recorded and tell about here free phone. FREE??? It's not free the tax payers are paying your phone bill you ______ woman. Everyone has this idea that if it comes from the Gov't it FREE and it's magically produced from thin air. Sorry... Some one is paying for it I promise you that... Rant over...
  14. Best thing to do is take care of the weakness... So since your signature isn't filled out nor the post has any information about the truck. [*]Gauges (Fuel pressure, Pyrometer, Boost, Trans Temp) [*]Fuel system (Lift pump upgrade) [*]Automatic transmission upgrades (Torque converter and valve body) [*]Manual transmission upgrades (Clutch) Then you can start adding power upgrades.
  15. Best thing to do is take care of the weakness...
  16. Well since you can't get it with the DMM then use a live data tool and see what temperature your getting.
  17. If it driving normally and not having issues this means that for some reason the Quadzilla and Edge Juice can't see the APPS signal properly.
  18. If its below +30*F and the first start of the day I wait for the light. But any other time I just hit the key and go.
  19. Hmmm... I bought the 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 back in 2002... It only had 112K on the clock. Now its got 148K so thats 3.6K per year... Compared to the 2002 that I bought brand new 20.8K per year with 208K on the clock.
  20. I think MnTom got this one... (1 point for MnTom!)
  21. Correct your high mark is outside plus 40 degrees so yes 140*F would be the highest you want. But you can play with 100-140*F and see what tinkles the truck fancy the most. Not all trucks and drivers are going to get optimal out of 140*F some might need lower. Remember this is rather still experimental being like mine works for my setup and driving habit but your driving habit and condition might be different.
  22. Ummm... Well as for the hair it won't last for me. I'm starting to thin a bit on top now but it long enough no one knows but the gal that does cut my hair. So enjoy it while you can.
  23. Ummm... I've had plenty of "Govvies" as Rogan put it. When you work a wildland fire you put up with a lot of that BS. USFS is just as bad as the USPS...
