  1. Way too much rowing of the gears... I'll keep my NV4500 with the 5th gear problem...
  2. You might try looking over here... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/ccd/ccd.htm But you need to look at the two twisted pair wire that feed the ECM and check them for connection. white/black and violet/brown Here is a CCD network on a 96 Dodge Gasser...
  3. Spoke to soon... Hey ther Uber...
  4. Yeah he was last on back 11-21-10... I don't think you going to get a reply from the OP...
  5. Well time to inspect the turbo... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/turbo/turbo.htm
  6. Well its a small step in the right direction the fact of fooling the IAT to believing its summer temps. It does bring up the MPG's a small amount. But what I'm after is to make the truck to believe its a 12V Ppump with fixed timing where I place it. (Fixed resistor).
  7. It's the 3 connectors above the valve cover on the little plate attached to cowling... I'd shoot a pic of mine but it wouldn't help since I pulled the plate out and moved the connector way over on the driver side even more out of the way... But it is right above the injector lines on the cowling.
  8. The last time I pumped my tank out using the AirDog to drop the tank to replace the sender rheostat (gauge), I had less than 1 quart of fuel in the tank... Talk about sucking it dry...
  9. Mine leaks at the grommet... But since I drilled the wrong size hole from what I found out that explains part of it. I was a unlucky person missing part of the manual explaining that part, no extra spring, no warranty card, no sticker, etc... But I'm happy with my AirDog 150 still going strong...
  10. Unless you heater core is partial plugged up and the outside air is so cold it can't heat it. That's why on MAX A/C (recirculated air) it has heat but in all other positions the outside air is used...
  11. Your lucky because I just updated my AirDog page with new information about that... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/personal/2002/airdog-150/airdog-150.htm
  12. P1694 is a CCD Network bus issue. The ECM is no longer part of the network and is no longer being commanded... C126 is the connector on the cowling there. It passes the ECM connection towards the PCM, you might want to open that connector and check it for water or corrosion...
  13. In my Mom's 96 Dodge you can engage 4WD LO with a firm pull on the stick. But getting back in 2WD or 4WD HI is a bit tricky and takes practice. I'll roll along and shift the trans to Neutral and then with a quick motion push the transfer case into 4WD HI or 2WD. You might still get a bit of clatter but not bad...
  14. Didn't you have battery problem earlier and replaced just one battery?
  15. After reading your post ISX it seem to be that if I can find the high point for MPG and just use a fixed IAT resistor that's all it matter then right? So as long as the ECM thinks in a nice warm summer day I should be good all the time right? (Trying to understand your math)
  16. Oh if I want to see IAT over 130*F all I got to do is find a grade drop the exhaust brake and bam! IAT temp rocket up and stay up till I turn off the exhaust brake. But as for the rise at low boost I see the same thing but rolling into the boost pressure I typically see a fall in temps about 5-10*F typically. I think because at low velocity the air has time to pre-heat in the manifold since there is a coolant passage the runs along the bottom. But under boost your pushing air through so fast its not pre-heating as much... (My thought on it )
  17. You might double check that wiring again...
  18. At 200:1 ratio the HFRR score is low any ways... That why the 128:1 ratio was taken because it exceeds the orignal requirements for fuel lubricity by Bosch... I'm pretty sure 128:1 is less than 400 HFRR socre... 200:1 Ratio scored a worse case at 474 HFRR... Todays fuel at ~520 HFRR which is marginal at best! Then...
  19. Never tried it... But I'm harsh on tires anyways being I travel dirt roads and skid trees etc...
  20. I typically got about 30-35K miles out of set of 265/75 R16 Well I'm up to 45K miles and still got 7/32 on my 235/85 R16's and still going...
