  1. Hmmm... I can't answer that one truely because I kept my stock filter and fuel heater for that purpose. But if you would want to add it back its simple just go to Vulcan Performance and get a Big Line hose for between the filter and VP44. Just a few bucks... ;)
  2. Got your phone message... ;) Dorkweed has a point the programmer could be a cause of this problem. Like I know the system ground for the ECM and sensor is right behind the starter and cannot be seen without removing the starter. I would check over the charging system to be sure it charging properly. This means having the alternator diode checked (Don't skip this!) What ever is going on is a electrical issue. So make sure the battey cables and main feed line, fuses, etc are all in good shape. Like I've found main fues for the PDC that have CRACKED but not blown so when the load would increase the fuse would break OPEN and the item would fail till the fuse cooled again. Bad or weak battery cables could make the alternator work excessively and might casue voltage spikes or unusual voltage levels. This also includes bad grounds. The only thing I can think off is having a Dealer DRB III tool scan the system for faults this goes a bit deeper than just a typical code reader... Check CCD network bus (voltage and terminatation), VP44 (commuication), etc...
  3. I guess some guys over at CF.com did some trying of different 2 cycle oil and found that Valoline is better in performance qualities. Now as for long term data I don't have much on it...

  5. Nope... Pureflow sent that to me... So it a factory bracket for the AirDog 150. Just request that style of bracket. The other bracket flat mounts the pump to the frame rail...   8. Oil pressure sender might just be stuck internally... I would verify this with a mech gauge and see what you pressure actually is... If different then you know you got to replace the oil pressure sender...
  9. I kept my stock filter and fuel heater... Also I even left a filter in the stock filter housing... So far no issues running this... But I kept it because Idaho winter are rather cold... 8|

If no air bubbles are present, proceed to step 10. If bubbles are present, check the lines/connectors between the fuel tank and the transfer pump for conditions allowing air to be drawn into the fuel system. Correct the condition and repeat steps 6, 8, and 9 Most of the fuel system is a vacuum line so leak never leak outwards but they sure suck inwards without leaving a wet spot...   13. If your getting fuel for even 5 cylinders it should start... Because Cummins has a 3 cylinder high idle mode for winter time operation so it will run on 3 cylinders if there is enough fuel. So my money is on the the fact you might have a dead VP44...
  14. Yes you must tap the wire... Edge Comp fuels with normal de-fueling (2,700 RPM) Edge Drag Comp fuels all the way to 3,200 RPM (redline). Edge Juice (Hot) will act just like Edge Drag Comp Adrenaline I'm not sure of... I'm pretty sure there is a setting/program to all it. I think the Smarty does it too.   17. Actually you need to more the governor forward to 4K to defeat the curve. Redline box, Edge Drag Comp, Quadzilla Adrenaline, etc have ability to move the governor red line. But typically the Cummins 24V starts de-fueling at roughly 2,700 all the way to 3,200 RPM redline.
  18. 24V engines are different in appearance... But 24V started in 98.5 and went to 2002... Simple way of figureing it out...Does it look like this? (24 Valve engine)
  19. Order of importance... 1. Fuel pressure (0-30 PSI) - Without a fuel pressure gauge you can ruin your VP44 injection pump. 2. Pyrometer (0-1,600*F) - Without a pyrometer and towing you can exceed 1,200*F rather quickly even with a stock engine... 3. Boost pressure (0-35 PSI) - Good to keep track of the boost has a direct bearing on Pyro Temps. 4. Trans Temp - Protect your trans from overheating... I don't hear of many problem in this catagory... You can order a 3 place a-pillar and a steering column single pod.
  20. Sounds like a air leak in the fuel system...Fuel pressure gauge would point out a bunch of this problem... But as for finding the leak I would pressureize the fuel tank with 1-2 PSI of air and look for wet spots.

  24. It would but they don't allow for Live data stream viewing like the ScanGauge does... Hmmm.... That's odd... Most parts stores can get the MAP sensors for Cummins... Verify it closely before you buy it...
