1. You need a fuel pressure gauge. Keep your fuel pressure above 10 PSI always2. Your going to need a upgraded fuel pump (FASS, AirDog or Raptor - You should do this upgrade regardless of horsepower upgrade or not!)3. You going to need a upgraded torque converter and valve body to keep the trans going. (You should do this upgrade regardless of horsepower upgrade or not!)4. Then you could add a enhancement box to gain few horse power to pull the load. (Edge, Smarty, Quadzilla, etc)

Here is my stock fuel filter after 15K miles... (Before the AirDog) Nope... The injectors are not gunked up... Been running 4 years now... My last trip to Stanley, ID I netted 25.2 MPG!!! It not magic but it does help keeping the fuel system lubed up...

Hmmm... No leaks at all on the ground... Well like you said you should see it either in the radiator or the ground... So is the coolant like a strawberry malt? :confused:

So sad to lose good friends like a Dog... I had a white German Shepherd named "Star" she was a very protective dog but loved to show off. I had a show I pull off to new friends and stranges. I would just walk in the front door of the house and Star waiting patiently and I give her a good whack on the face (not to hurt but to get her started!)... She knew what is up and go into full attack mode and latch on to my arm and pull me to the floor shaking my arm as to rip it off... But I give the cammand STOP! she let go... Never broke the skin but it was freaky for newbies to see it... 8| She live to the good old age of 12 and started to lose her kindeys... Had to put her down... (sniff!) I really do miss that dog... `

Hmmm... There is a lot of good information there Russ... I notice with just my flood lights (fog lights) the reflector isn't quite perfect and the beam pattern tend to be even worse but since they are 100w bulbs the brightness tends to compensate for the lack of quality in the optics...

It could be hunting for idle mode and causing a governor problem...If you got a small rat tail file I would open the holes on the APPs sensor slightly to try and reach the set voltage... Just don't get carried away filing...

LOL I've got the 235/85 R16 on mine now and pulling 25.2 MPG on my last trip to Stanley, ID... Skinny tire do perform just fine for highway use and tend to be just a bit slick in the gravel but if you keep a level head you can do just fine...

Sorry the only way to fix this problem is to replace the VP44... Sorry...

Still I would check the fuel pump relay it supplies power to the VP44... There is a fuse in the PDC for the VP44 (Engine)...Here is a short video of that...

That's part of the problem the price of the entire setup is huge... In my 4K Watt system I've got over $20,000 in inverter, batteries, solar controller, solar panels, pelton wheel, pelton wheel generator, gasoline generator, wiring, etc... I prodcue if I'm lucky 500-600w per hour on a sunny day and pelton wheel runing full tilt. I store enough power for 8-10 hours battery wise but with winter days coming I lose my pelton wheel because of the lines got to be drain out... Then when gets storm like Dorkweed it stay like that for days... So solar power isn't worth anything... So my summer power bill is about $30 a month but come winter time its about $150 to $180 ... That's with all wood heating! 8|

Ok... P1689 check the fuel pump relay in the PDC, Check the fuses in the PDC as well... If that is all good the the VP44 injection pump has failed... Little insight... The VP44 has the ability to run without a lift pump but does serious damage to itsself when the fuel pressure drops below 10 PSI...
