  1. Like myself I'm still a 7 x 0.010 DAP injector VCO popped at 320 and nearly zero smoke. Initial stomp of the throttle its will smoke some but clears quickly. I just had @Jthor driving my truck home as I followed with a customers vehicle. Still more than enough power to spin the tires loose on dry pavement.
  2. Never swap shaft keys! They are calibrated for that stamped number key on the body.
  3. When you have Idaho Gov't tallking about pulling out all the dams (power generators too!) on the Snake River to protect fish... We will be fair below needed power if it actually goes through...
  4. Amazon or eBay... I bought my last set of 150A fuses for a customer right off Amazon for like $18...
  5. Ummm there isn't enough to lube my truck. Damn democrats don't have enough blubber for making lube... Boy they are full of bullchit and still stinks.
  6. All the other timing settings must be set for ZERO on the main page then you can adjust the max timing to the plus amount over stock. Ive never really tried it. I should though... As for Canbus it remains the same.
  7. I laugh about the shut down on gas and diesel. I wonder what they plan on lubrication for moving parts in electric vehicles... whale blubber again or what?
  8. For Idaho there are counties starting to do more diesel testing like Ada County, Canyon County, etc. But currently Adam's County does not do any emissions testing yet. Back when I talked to the last smog station in Boise they only do opacity test and that's all. Gas engines only check for any OBDII errors. No visual inspection.
  9. Just like the MAP sensor is misreported because not all live data tools do the proper math to display the values. Like most live data tools show 28.9 PSI value at idle when I know its actually ZERO boost.
  10. Couple of nights ago when it warmed up I could hear few crickets but once got cold again silence... I'm ready for spring. @Jthor and I getting ready for the day.
  11. The number for the key is stamp in that area it should be a 3 digit code. As you'll see in this list. The number are stamped on both the key and the body of the pump.
  12. No. Because that is above the cruise %. So if cruise timing is 0 to 20% then 21% and up to 100% would now run on load based retarding down 0 to 3° this ramps back up you max timing for that RPM.
  13. ECM is the one that supplies the APPS signal the PCM uses the APPS signal for transmission and cruise control.
  14. That is due to the cruise timing is allowed after you engine load dropped below your set engine load percentage. Then your RPM drops below a runnable range and it starts to buck. I would like to call out @Quadzilla Power and see if there is a way of make lower RPM range setting so you can force the cruise timing to shut down below that set RPM. Yeah I got the same problem...
  15. Smoother idle and operation.
  16. This is why I would suggest hot wiring the VP44. If the ECM is the problem it will idle normal with the ECM disconnected. If its the VP44 then the problem will still be there.
  17. If you have a live data tool plugged in and watching the engine load number and the engine RPM. NORMAL - you should have a engine load above 0% and engine RPM should hover close to 800 RPM (+/- 10). Example my truck idles at 7% dancing around at 795 to 805 RPM. FAILED INJECTORS - You engine load will be at zero. The engine is trying to defuel as much as it can but the injectors are popping so early now that engine RPM is rising. Anything greater than 820 RPM. Like a truck I looked at in Ontario, OR the RPM is ~850 RPM and the engine load is 0% never moves whiles idling.
  18. Most likely Low PSI being the light load cruise is a degree number. Then light load cruise is based on engine load for trigger.
  19. Yup. In the years I've been buying DAP injection pumps and installing in customers rigs, I've only got ONE pump that was bad out of the box. It had a instant P1689 code and if you touched the throttle it jumped to 1,500 RPM and that's it. Normally all VP44 pump have to make the grade on a Bosch 815 test stand to get the new PSG programmed and flashed it. Takes roughly 3 hours on the Bosch 815 test stand per pump. Asked DAP for RMA to get the replacement and BAM! after being installed its was back to normal again. This happened to me last summer a matter of fact I managed to punch the fan on the engine trying break loose the pump gear puller. So be careful too... Bad VP44 pump and split my finger open (pretty bad), and to be starting the COVID-19 pandemic locally...
  20. Stock minimum is 293 bar with the high end at 327 bar. So it's not injectors now move to checking the VP44.
  21. Hot wire the VP44 and see if there is change to idle performance. If the VP44 is bad it should stay the same if it changes its possible wiring or ECM.
  22. Good Gawd talk about big snap ring tools...
  23. Shouldn't have any effect hence why I think you need to look into the ECM.
  24. That is one reason I like DAP injectors I can specify what I want and them built to my specs. Only had 1 set with issues that DAP gladly rebuilt them again and swapped to VCO from the SAC I had previously. Those were 7 x 0.0085 but popped at 305 bar. Those were just a touch smokey at the end of life which was about 80k miles. My 7 x 0.010 I had built to my specs 320 bar and never once had any issues with starting, smoke or anything. Still going...
  25. Wait to start light is more of ECM issue. If the wait start light is being goofy then you might look into having that ECM tested by a rebuilder.
