  1. Like my truck is doing that right now. I've got to do valve seals this summer. It drips just enough oil in the cylinder to create the blue/white smoke that smells of engine oil. Every start cold or hot. Typically gone in a few seconds after starting. I'm using about a quart of oil in 7k miles. Nothing to panic about in my case. Now just for safety sake I would verify the turbo on both sides and make sure the turbo isn't leaking oil into the air stream or down the exhaust side. This has happened to a few in the past. Just take the time and check it out.
  2. Decent and cheap in the same line is not going to happen. The best to come close to that would be the ISSPro EV1 series mechanical. https://www.dieselautopower.com/eva-2-1-16-mechanical-fuel-0-30-psi-r5604r
  3. @Me78569 So what is the new delivery time now? Christmas? New Years 2019?
  4. The typical daily driver can be done cold. Normally they don't expand too much. When you talking 900 HP and track stars well there is going to be a lot of heat and expansion on the valves and such. Like I'll admit I tried going back to my old 0.008 and 0.018 and now that summer heat is here the idle is a bit lopey again. This just proves what your saying has some truth. I'm going to reverse and go 0.012 and 0.022 on this next time. I could today but time is running out. I'll do it most likely on my next weekend.
  5. I did the 5k bulbs in the Morimoto D2S and the PIAA LED driving lights are a 6k.
  6. That mostly what the local ranchers here run is gravel roads but then dive out in a pasture to roll hay bails out. Pull back out climb to the next pasture and repeat again. Most out here flood water the pastures so it can get rather soupy for mud. Lot of the old tymers had to give up the manuals and went to automatics. This is rather harsh on automatics being they never really hit lock up for many miles and climbing or offroad in mud add the heat.
  7. Not so great if it causes damage to the exhaust system and DPF to have the system.
  8. Very common out here. A lot of the ranchers opted for the rubber floor mats but end up rotting the cab floors out because the amount of mud and snow they drag in. Then go home and hose the cab out and the water automatically pools under the floor mat and the rot begins.
  9. That part is designed by the Linux structure if you an Android user. iPhone is a similar structure. Here with my Linux PC and Android Phone, you have to give permission to access particular information or modify data. For example, I want to change a configure file on my PC I have to provide a ROOT password to allow the system to alter that file. The same thing is true for Android but it assumed the user is the ROOT user and you already unlocked the phone so it left to a yes or no question. Being that on a cell phone the amount of RAM and storage is very limited most functions are stack up so yes you might be giving up call information so you can actually have one function the program requires. PC is a bit more granular permissions because of larger storage and more RAM to work with. The only thing I can say is find another app that asks less of the phone for permissions but you'll end up finding out the software is extremely limited and functions are missing.
  10. Actually be very careful the rubber floormats are known for rusting out the bodies quicker being that they seal in more water. There is a foam pad below that holds the moisture longer. Where people with carpet tend to be more careful not to drag in all the mud and water. Where rubber floor people get sloppy and assume the rubber floor is keeping the moisture out which it won't. It will leech under the edges of the rubber flooring and wick up in the foam pad. It's worth it to lift the door trims and check yearly.
  11. I gave up on being paranoid... Few reasons first off there is enough manpower to track everyone. Then if the tracking is so good then why can't they track down criminals? I've got all my address and phone numbers out on the internet. Still to this day everyone still asks me for my mailing address or my phone number when it's on every single page here. Go ahead and track me... Funny part by the time I get home the cellphone is nothing more than electronic brick. No cell phone signal, canyon walls screw with the GPS and not accurate even my GPS in the truck is goofy here. WiFi location reports me way off the mark. Even attempting to track my IP shows weird locations. Heck MoparMom and I both use the Life360 app to track each other. She can send me a message saying hey your need X store can you pick up Y.
  12. Hop over here and read up. https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/obdii-error-codes_94/
  13. 235/85 R16 and 256/75 R16 are the same 31.7" tall. (+/- 2 Revs/mile) 215/85 R16 and 245/75 R16 are the same 30.5" tall (+/- 2 Revs/mile) Just helpful information on tires. The 85 series tends to be narrow side. The 75 series tend to be wide hence the first number in mm.
  14. Now the EGR, SCR and other means of control are rather well, wasteful. Regen the DPF by dumping fuel down the exhuast stroke to push fire to the DPF to burn it clean. Then the EGR is dumping the carbon back into the intake manifold and plugging as well enhancing wear of the cylinders. I've watched Ford Powerstroke trucks going down the road start regen cycle puking lots of smoke and lose power as the cycle starts and then afterward then clears right up and back to running strong. I think there is much better ways of making clean burning diesel vehicle but here in the US is about making them inefficient and keeping the road taxes flowing.
  15. Just remembered that @dripley also having weird sensor issues as well every time he fiddles with the loom he gain back function. Dripley can post up his findings.
  16. Wow. I figured diesel was primary fuel for vehicles over there. I guess UK like the US constantly pushing petrol. Sad...
  17. @Quadzilla Power is there any way to change the tire size to zero for pass through. Still even on my truck my speedometer is dead on, OBDII speed is dead on but Quadzilla is -1 MPH always. You might check but 245s and 215 tire are smaller than your minimum. 95.4" 215/85 R16 95.7" 245/75 R16 Just be aware... The one-ton trucks ran 215's for few years.
  18. One truck I had looked at had similar knock we figured bearings but turned ou damaged rist pin and piston in either 5 or 6.
  19. Balance comes in due time.
  20. Here you go some reading material...
  21. Like tonight I pissed off a truck with my HID's on low beam. He flip on his high beams then I blasted back with mine. Then all I saw was his arms stretch out like ... I know my lights are aimed properly but there is that rare times of angles on a grade than make them appear too high.
  22. Yeah I know been down that road a few times with other vehicles. It might be a controlled mess but still, a mess. I know if you can pull it all a part I know you can get it stuff back in there just the same. Looks like you took all the body mounts out and then jack the nose up to gain that tad bit of room to get the oil pan over the frame. Am I right?
  23. You absolutely correct. Problem is that most MSDS sheets for 2 Cycle Oil states only pour point. True diesel cloud point is much higher typically.
  24. Which one? P0234, P0236, P0237 or P0238
