High Idle Switch install
Optimal... Set your high idle mode BEFORE starting. Then after getting started then go ahead and turn back to OFF. You might want to avoid MPG mode till it warms up. MPG mode will RETARD timing so its best to let the ECM control the timing during warm up. The CEL light trip is because some people turn the knob too slowly and the ECM picks up the fact you broke the circuit for that brief moment so it will trip the CEL. It might also miss the mark and go into 3 CYL mode. Like said above just turn off the engine for 10 seconds and then restart again this will reset the ECM high idle mode. Be aware high idle mode either 3 or 6 CYL will remain active for the entire key cycle. So next time the condition for high idle occur (ECT < 140*F and IAT < 32*F) it will fire back up in the mode you selected at the start of the key cycle.

Fuel part questions....fix or throw away?
The only thing I've got in my pile is a Raptor pump that failed. I'm keeping this failed pump for just the brushes in the motor being they are still like new. When mine finally wear out I can replace my pump motor brushes in my AirDog and keep going.

Morimoto HIDs and PIAA 530 RF series LED's
True. But in foul weather, the HID's seem to get a bit thin in the path at times. This should add more light down your lane. Still, love the Morimoto's HID's D2S. I would love to do my 1996 Dodge the same way... I like the idea it street legal LED lighting instead of the illegal light bars people are constantly using on the highway blinding people.

Morimoto HIDs and PIAA 530 RF series LED's
Here you go gang you all wanted pictures I got them tonight after aiming my PIAAs. The PIAAs are the 530 RF series LED driving lights. http://www.piaa.com/store/p/187-LP530-3-5-LED-Driving-Light-Kit.aspx I'll admit the PIAAs are BRIGHTER than my HID's. For such a small lamp package and two small LEDs it really throws a bright patch of light out there. Here is just the PIAAs. Now the Morimoto HIDs on low beam with the PIAA 530 RF series. Look closely you see the step in the beam in the middle of the road. Nice flat cut off of the beam from the Morimoto HID's. The beam path is actaully very wide it will travel at least 25-50 out in the ditch on the driver side. Now Morimoto HID's on high beam.

Why do that... We've got a Classified Ad area here... https://mopar1973man.com/classifieds/- Upgrading lights
Oh... Morimoto HID's are street legal. As for my post I was talking about LED lighting. I just install the PIAA's on my truck we'll see.- Upgrading lights

@jlbayes Nice truck... So those are the white / amber LEDs right?- Motor restore
All of my small engines have fuel valves. I don't use the kill switch but shut the fuel supply off and let the carb run dry. Even my big generator for the house that might get ran 1 or 2 times an entire year. Easy to pull start every time.- Thermostat
Same here... 12V are known for that wild up / down swing of temps and also being cold blooded.- In tank, Lift Pump Retrofit
I've got a Airdog 150. Mounted right behind my transfer case. I kept my stock fuel filter can. Thinking of that I was travelling New Meadows valley this morning at 6F and nice to see fuel temp at 63F. Long ways from gelling issues- In tank, Lift Pump Retrofit
Airdog wise I'm heading to 12 years old and about 260k miles on the pump and still holding strong. Factory pumps or intank pumps are expensive and typically don't last very long. Can you provide more info on these pumps?- Headlight options
Actually just looked mine is on the back but you'll have to pull the headlight out to access the screw. The adjust screw is not on the bottom edge like yours.- Headlight options
Yes sir it is...- Headlight options
No. My adjustment is on the back side. Next to where the bulb goes in the back.- Headlight options
So you're using those in the front turn signal position correct? So when the parking lamps are on they are lit up white? I've not posted my pictures as of yet...- 0w40?
Out here you will be changing oil nearly weekly for those weather conditions. Like this morning it dipped down to +20*F and next couple of mornings be cold then it will pop right back up again. Cold mornings out here do happen be never last for a long period of time. Still, I look at all the logging trucks sitting out in the dirt lot being fired up in the morning no block heater and standard old 15w-40.- Headlight options
My headlights does not have the normal adjustments. There is only on adjustment screw on the back of the housing. Either you have to remove batteries or remove the headlights to get at the adjustment screw. - Fuel part questions....fix or throw away?
