  1. Come on gang... Time to get this thread going again...
  2. I've got a good question? If all the dealers are sold out and OEM is no longer manufactured so where is Geno's getting there fan clutches at? Is what Geno's is selling a true OEM fan clutch? Make you think a second...
  3. The alternator is shot. Replace... Anything over 0.1 AC volts at the BATT stud is an instant fail. Double check your electrical system for any ground modifications or noise filters added at the PCM. Remove all modifications and return the electrical back to factory layout and remove any addon's. This will make the noise easier to detect all the other modification mask or hide the issue making it tougher to test for or detect the issue.
  4. Just dart over to Harbor Freight and pick up a set of sockets from 1 to 2 inch. Then get a 3/4" ratchet and a 3/4 to 1" adapter. You'll be set. I've got the exact setup here and now you can do more than just the hub nut. How about hitch ball nuts, etc. Really handy to have at least this set.
  5. Officially I'm getting the RV out today and getting it hitched up and hauled to Parma, ID. So far I still only see @JAG1 and @IBMobile as a for sure.
  6. I would suggest hooking up with @AH64ID ...
  7. I taking my welders hood. Im going to drag my RV down tomorrow to Parma.
  8. @dripley if you do this rebuild you know you gotta make a write up of that...
  9. Weird how some people have bad luck and other have good luck.

  11. Ditch the Edge the sublevel control of smoke is not a good design. At least with the Quadzilla you can set the low boost fuel numbers below stock rate and tune out a majority of the smoke issues.
  12. I've got to get my power steering fluid changed very soon before I'm looking down the road of doing this very same thing. So far I'm still all OEM parts on my power steering hydraulics parts. No leaks as of yet but my fluid is darkened and need to be changed.
  13. Sorry but there is no way I'm going to pay that for OEM clutch... That's crazy... I'll switch back and buy two Haydens or Four Seasons fan clutches off of Rock Auto.
  14. Because the first instruction after booting up the ECM is to light the WTS light and check IAT temperature and determine if grid heat is needed. If not the WTS light is only a bulb check. If there was bulb problem or wiring issue there would be P0381 error code. Watch you have to watch for is is the WTS light coming on instantly with the key or delaying a bit. The delay is caused from AC noise and the AC voltage managed to damage the ECM RAM so now its having problems booting up.
  15. RockAuto even started selling the tough to fine stock engine fan too.
  16. Problem is I feel it on a manual 5 speed transmission too. There is no torque converter clutch to unlock for me. Normally feel it around 25-30 MPH range which most of the small town I travel are 25 MPH city speed limit. Closer I get to Ontario the more you get normal 35 MPH speed limits but traffic hold me down in the 30 MPH bracket and its felt again. @NoMercy Z06 try switching to ZERO level and see if it goes away. If so the whole problem is in the Quadzilla.
  17. Ummm... I see 4 aftermarket companies... SKP, Hayden, Four Seasons, GPD...
  18. I'm going to consider doing balance beads, BB's or something this next set of tires I'm sick and tired of having the last 40% of the tires turning like junk scalloping the shoulders and getting out of balance more often. Rather crazy. Are your axles the Dexter EZ lube axles? You might want to look over the instructions on how to do it properly. So far no issues with my BigTex trailer which has Dexter EZ lube hubs.
  19. I'm noticing this issue most so at higher fuel temperatures than at cooler temperatures. When I'm seeing 130 to 140*F of fuel temperature it tends to show up better. Cooler fuel temperatures tend to mask it. I've been playing to find all the variables that seem to make this possible.
  20. Shhh... It way too soon yet. I need to make it till October before seeing cold weather. Typical irrigation shut down date is October 15 because of freezing temperatures.
  21. 90% of the trucks that are for sale on Craig's List scare me. Most of them driven hard, put away wet and abused. Then once the bill is too high to fix it properly the owner gives up and sells the truck. So now you find an awesome deal on the Internet you better beware it most like got a secret or complete failure.
  22. Seems like a lot of people that unlock secrets on these truck tend to all disappear at some point.
  23. Manufacture only have to produce enough parts for warranty periods. You have to remember these engines are over 15 years old no manufacturer will continue building parts that long. So it is all going to be 3rd party reproduction of parts now.
  24. Unless you go Dexter EZ lube axles. Bit of difference where this design allows you to pump all the dirty grease out where pushing grease into the ABS hole is bad idea because you can't push the dirty grease and debris out past the seal of the hub. So no our hubs are not a greaseable design because there is no way to remove the debris or dirty grease.
