  1. FASS isn't without its issues too. I've seen FASS blowing fuses in under 10k miles. Pump motor failures as well. The other problem because of pure size is trying to mount out of the damage path of the front tires. I've seen a few filters now damaged by flying debris from the front tires. So FASS isn't perfect either.
  2. How do I run a V1 tune with an iQuad setup?
  3. Correct. You need to either have the ABS reflashed or use a GPS to calibrate the iQuad App.
  4. We'll I grab the video camera and get the engine hot and record the exhaust note which you'll hear it drop a cylinder when I hit that spot.
  5. No. Can't use a fixed orifice. The old style spring and ball were the best design. The new adjustable style doesn't work because the regulator pin hangs up and sticks.
  6. Bad idea... Nothing should ever be hooked to the battery terminals. Both batteries are clean of any leads other than stock. All aftermarket accessories. Are hooked up here. Never hook to the black lead if the alternator fuse blows it will produce high voltage that will let the "magic smoke" out of any device hooked to that black lead. The prevents the battery acid from attacking all the terminals. Also, this does produce a big ol' hairy looking terminal that gets tore up from jump cables.
  7. You've got a restriction somewhere. If it was me I would just put $30 in a seal kit pull the steering box apart and rebuild it and find the restriction than messing with a redhead or blue top box. I can rebuild that sagnaw in my sleep its so easy.
  8. This issues still exist for me. I can reproduce it yet. I'll try and set up a video camera and capture the off beat miss it produces. Again it only on any level above ZERO. Does matter the tune I've snagged @Me78569 tow tune and still have the issue with that tune above level 0.
  9. Ok. I've still got this issue and very annoying. This is an LG G5 phone and its brand new not even a year old. Now the issue is Bluetooth is hanging up on any custom tunes. So if I do like I normally do on my trip back and forth from Ontario, OR. I'll set up at home and fire up the iQuad app but it might nearly 20 miles of shutting down and starting up before I get iQuad to hook up on bluetooth. So like every 4-5 miles I shut the app down and fire it back up. I'll get a quick message about couldn't connect to device. By the time I get to about New Meadows 20 miles away it might hook up. Now if I want to for sure hook up first time then fire up iQuad switch to DEFAULT tune, then shut down iQuad. Now fire back uo iQuad it will hook up in under 30 seconds typically. Then I can switch to my custom tune without an issue. If I shut down the engine and restart I might be back to fighting it and might now. Most times on my trips I'm stopping to eat somewhere so I shut down the iQuad and go in with my cellphone to work on the web site. Now I'm back to the bluetooth fight again.
  10. Umm... They are both in the construction trade...
  11. I had the same problem all I did was flush the system out with some Walmart Supertech power steering fluid and that is gone. Fresh fluid does wonders. You not using ATF by chance are you?
  12. Again E85 is only 75% of the BTU value (81k BTU's) than normal clear gasoline has (114k BTU's). 1.5 gallons of ethanol has the same energy content as 1.0 gallon of gasoline.
  13. No. It wont. Timing is computer controlled unless you got a tuner. Octane is the sbility to RESIST ignition by compression. Like im running Mopar Performance PCM it requires 92 octane to prevent knock/ping issues. On that truck the timing is cranked up to 40* BTC.
  14. Just to let you know all bio fuels be it biodiesel or ethanol gas will alway be lower in BTUs. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gasoline_gallon_equivalent
  15. Mine can be hot after running the truck on the highway for 3 hours then get even hotter sitting in parking lot idling for 4 hours. But my daily driving locally arond home it stays rather cool to the touch.
  16. Ive made it to Parma. Most of you already know my cell number. Give me a shout.
  17. Sorry for there loss...
  18. Tone ring broke... Mine failed the same way. Just replace them as a pair.
  19. Where are you located at could you fill out your profile? Rocky Mountain Cummins is in Boise ID. I'll be in Ontario, OR all this week. If you want to get together.
  20. At least with my BigTex trailer I grease it regularly every year no issues with bearing failure from full hubs nor any issues with grease pushing the rear seal out. As for the RV I've got to hand pack those bearing but always end up with a full can of grease use for all 4 axles that's packing more grease in the hubs as well. As for tire balancing I'm going to just pickup a few boxes of BB's and put in about 6 ounces in to each tire when I replace my tire here soon. Just about down to the wear bars and will be needing good rubber for this coming winter too.
  21. OMG... Nick you not helping this...
  22. Let be real there... Geez....
