  1. Wonder about the failure problems all together. I'm still using the factory tee after 12 years and not had a leak at the tee yet. I will most likely just replace with proper factor seals and continue on.
  2. Lets say the filter minder is measured in inches of water column. If you ever do this test you understand the restriction level. No that said the paper BHAF never will move the filter minder with engines all the way up to 600 HP that I know of. So the BHAF restriction is very very small if anything.
  3. Ok. From what I've heard on this subject is the valve stem type are common to be stolen in parking lots. Only takes a few seconds for a punk kid to steal all you pressure caps.
  4. Ok. Would you buy a washable oil filter? Why?
  5. Just drop more fuel and make you move faster yet.
  6. From what I know is its like a piece of vacuum line sliced in thin pieces. But the problem is the ID and OD size requirement. I heard you can buy it by the foot but expensive.
  7. From what I understand there is a 6th level and rev limit is extended more so.
  8. Keep posting I'm sure other Dodge owners would love to learn about your project too. Make sure to post plenty of pictures!
  9. OMG... Well its a solution I guess I wonder how much it would flop around with leather?
  10. You mean this? This is a Vulcan Performance only part for the sensor mount. Call Eric and he'll make you one. 360-263-6037. Tell him Mopar1973Man sent you!
  11. Ummm... Hex your a 4WD there is nothing but toe adjustment to do on the 4WD. As for the steering box there is a sector adjustment to take up slack the instruction are in the Factory Service Manual. But I would look and see why your getting excessive wear all of a sudden too. Is the the fluid dark and broke down? If so time to flush the power steering system then adjust everything up. Steering stabilizer is easy to do yourself. I highly suggest doing as much as you can yourself and letting "another shop" do the alignment.
  12. I understand this a frustrating topic involving environmental conditions and big companies, and pipelines. I'm not even going to admit I know anything about this subject. But I would like to ask Wild & Free what is the deal on diesel prices being so high right now? Then vs. gasoline prices crashing low? Sad but truth... pipelines, crude oil and petroleum products will continue to be used in the world. I think its healthy to disagree with each other and debate over this topic a bit but remember we are all family here... So time to wear the shirt. Thanks Wild & Free that is a priceless photo!
  13. Well... Personally I'm not impressed with washable filters at all. Most all washable filters out of the box are good right out of the box. Now how many washes can you wash the media before it breaks down to a dangerous point for the engine? 1, 2, 5, 10, 20... ??? None of the manufactures specify when you should toss it out. Now with the Paper BHAF I typically see 100,000 miles of service per filter and never have to wash it. This can be proved by the cleanliness of the turbo during the service period of the filter you chose. Another trick is to spray the intake tube with WD40 and inspect often and see if any dust is collected if so then the filter has failed.
  14. You still measuring total draw. Now move into the other circuits and measure. Pull a fuse and probe both fuse contacts in the same socket.
  15. Good reason why I'm still hanging on to both of my truck now because the new trucks are like a house payment now.
  16. That seem like a lot of work chasing cracks as the form. Pull the entire dash is quite the project so you can access these area. Bad enough doing a HVAC case.
  17. Yeah Idaho highways at minus temps.
  18. Sweet dreams... Mine is do the same thing now taking a winter nap in the shop. Price of gasoline fell to a all time low here and now it cheaper to just drive the gasser and park the diesel.
  19. I wish they would wake up in California there is no global warming. When this year alone we've broke more low records in November than ever.
  20. I tend to forget about the under hood light being both my truck have burnt out bulbs...
  21. Think a bit differently when was the last time you changed the power steering fluid and flushed the system?
  22. The only reason it common is because people baby the truck too much and never actually open the wastegate. So the wastegate rust into position. Where I live in the rust belt I never had a issue being I keep the engine bay washed out and tend to tickle the wastegate now and then as I watch the boost gauge hit 35 PSI and bounce then settle back at 35-36 PSI.
  23. It allows you to gain just a bit more braking force because of the larger diameter rotors that are used. But this mod requires the change of wheels and tires as well to 17". I tend to look at if from another angle of the increased mass of axle parts you just losing MPG's over it. But that's me. The Effects of Rotational Inertia on Automotive Acceleration
  24. Years ago I made a steel horseshoe clip for my 1972 Dodge Powerwagon. The previous owner had broke the plastic clip off the back slider glass. I've even gone a step farther for security was using a few length of steel rod to thread all in the tracks to keep the windows closed. But being that was a standard cab it was easy to open back up. Now with my 96 with the slider you have to crawl in the back seat to open it. It's a extended cab not a quad cab.
