VP44 help
Check your cranking pressure it should be modulated 7-12 PSI and it should bust right off. I would drop the HO pump back in and see if this resolves the issue.

Oil smoke
Daily driven. 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday). 12 miles to work and 12 miles home. It only started smoking after be shut down for a short period. Then fired up again you notice a bluish haze and then it would disappear. Then the first start of the morning would have a bluish haze too. Used about 2 quarts of oil in the last oil change which was odd. 2 cycle oil is typically pretty well mixed up after the AirDog pumps it up and spits it back out in the fuel tank at about 140 GPH. But again my truck normally doesn't sit very long maybe 8-12 hours and it rolling again. But now the oil has been change its gone. Still using the same oil (Mobil Delvac 15w-40) as last time and the same filters (NAPA Gold) and roll of toillet paper (Scott's) in the Frantz bypass filter.

What is this noise?
CR injectors are more of a debris issue than a lubricity issue. Once the injector is wore down from dirt and debris then the injector starts to do weird things.

Fuel Line Question
The difference between Likeoldford and myself is 3/8" gives a 4 PSI drop from idle WOT where 1/2" is more like 1-2 PSI. I've got 17 at idle and 15 at WOT. That what that little bit more diameter does for you.

What is this noise?
As for the injector going bad when a 24V injector starts to act up you get a light stumble only at idle this is typically because of the nozzle getting pissy and liquid fuel will not burn. So that cylinder might partial fire but weakly.

Who's Burning?
Matter of fact I climbed up the roof yesterday and swept the chimney out. Just like I figured. The first 6" was all balled up with creosote necked down to about 3" hole. Push the brush through the ball and it was clear sailing all the way down to the bottom. I gave it 5 good strokes. Grabbed the flashlight it was clean as far as I could see down the pipe through the dust floating back up. Then on top of that I split another 1.5 cords of rounds up and its drying out in the trailer for the moment. I'll get that stacked up here in the near future.

Thoughts on Edge EZ vs Superchips Flashpaq vs Other Econo Tuners
Ilikeoldfords numbers are impressive with hand math using GPS. The only difference I can't do those kind of numbers at those speeds. Mine tend to drop off rather quickly above 60 MPH. At 65 MPH I typically see 18-20 MPH at 75 MPH it more like 14-16 MPH. But now at 55 MPH I can easily keep mid 20's... So you got me beat for speed and MPG number that's for sure. I'm also 3.55 gears but my RPM's would be much higher at highway speeds.

Who's Burning?
No hardwood out here. But even the BTU content is kind of questionable at times. Like out here everyone wants red fir because of its high BTU content. But I can't burn it right now because the wood is so hot that you have choke way down on the air to keep from roasting to death and now creating huge amount of creosote. But now like right now I'm burning spruce and alpine fir which is lower in BTU content than red fir but now I can burn with the air open bit more and no smoke and have to clean the chimney way less.

Who's Burning?
Well now that I'll have a few days off from work I'm planing on knocking out the wood pile as much as possible. I might even make another run to New Meadows, ID for more. Who knows. I always get picked on by the locals that tell me, "Oh you only need 2-3 cords a winter" The first thing I ask them is do you have a furnace? Do you burn solely wood for heat? Do have someone at home all the time? For me wood is our only form of heat so every morning a fire is lit and kept burning all day long and stoked in the evening and most night left to burn out. Come December it get really cold typically and there is about a 1 month span where we move to the living room for sleeping. Just way too much wood is wasted on heating a pair of bedrooms. So for me like I mention before I burn about a 1/4 cord a week or 1 cord a month. Now you also got to add in the gust house now too when it get down right cold I got to heat it too. Then if I happen to be working in the shop I burn wood to heat it too. If I'm feeling cheap I might fire up the propane torpedo heater.

P0341 code trobble
From one end to the other should be less than 5 ohms of resistance. From one end to ground should be infinite ohms (open circuit) so there is no shorts to ground.

P0341 code trobble
Are you sure you measured with both plugs unhooked both the ECM and Cam sensor right? So from the cam sensor plug to the ECM was 5 ohms your at the breaking point. I would look over the wiring closely for corrosion. You might need to repair what every wire you test that was 5 ohms.

Employment...
He's got a Ford Mustang to put back together and the body is on a rotisserie so you can flip it around to weld, paint or otherwise. Actually that is a modified Datsun (if I'm not mistaken) its got a V8 crammed under the hood.

abynormal hi idle
Time to unhook the Edge module and see if it occurs again. Even though the module might not of shown it was active it could be something internally damaged.

antifreeze... long and short
There is a thread over on Cummins Forum talking more about installing a coolant filter with anode and recharge. The idea sounds good but I've only seen a few that added it to the truck but no testing has ever been done to prove anything. Anyone here considering doing this too? I would love to see someone do it and do the testing too. Price of coolant is getting expensive. I'm considering it because of the cost of replacement.

The Pain of Servicing Duals

Who's Burning?
As they say wood warms you more than once... Fall and buck up the tree, load it in the truck, unload the truck, split the wood, stack the wood, etc. I was just thinking that I'm burning roughly 1/4 cord a week or 1 cord a month. So at that rate I need roughly 7 cords. I've got 8 cords as of now. I've still got another 4 cords unsplit. So I'm already bring on the winter. I know I got to crawl up and brush the chimney one last time... Maybe this week.

Miss at all RPMs
That would be visible with the valve cover off and the engine idling. You'll see one or more rockers not performing properly. Still in all the compression test would show it too.
