  1. Keep us posted. My modified top hats seem to be holding up too, but I really need to put more miles on before I can say for sure.
  2. Have to add few things. The 2" hole where reciver goes in is thinner wall like 3/16 where old one was 1/4 not sure if that matters much. Another thing is mounting brackets were bent inwards, probably from shipping and dropping a heavy box. Took my bottle jack with some 4x4 and pushed it back where it belongs. And last thing is 15318 said it was for short bed but only 2 holes lined up, very far back holes instructions said not used on short bed, we'll I drilled them of course and put some bolts it, no brainer there, but 2nd holes looking from back of truck lined up with rivets for tire carriage mount, so I ground them flat and drilled holes there too. So idk if 15318 or 15319 is better for short bed. I made it work just fine, but there is some discrepancy there.
  3. Wanted to add, truck runs softer with these tires compared to toyo's. Not sure if it's cuz they're new but something I noticed.
  4. Can't disagree. But have you seen what crazy arabs do in the desert. The ones with lots of money. Some of it looks pretty fun and interesting.
  5. Cool, that's all I got to say.
  6. How many miles were on them? I've been having a dead spot when engine is cold at around 1000 rpm not sure if it's injector related but kinda seems that way. Mine were supposed to be poped to 320, it's only been few months and few thousand miles. Not sure what to think yet, may wait till next spring when it's wormer and see if it gets better. Could be pop pressure related. Kinda getting tired of taking injectors out though. Want to drive it for 100k without doing anything but oil changes ha ha.
  7. Can't get over that center console, I've been looking but no luck yet.
  8. You can probably make one fairly easy
  9. Tell the shop just to reshim your current clutch packs, more than likely it's all that's needed
  10. I'm stuck in 80s and 90s lol
  11. But we do on daily basis, most things show onTV are pre-scripted, especially news.
  12. Good question, it's been debated here lately. I've been running around without a fuse for a while but thinking about getting one. Chances of something happening are slim but they are definitely there. Last time I needed the fuse I was pissing with the stud on back of alternator and touched the ground with my ratchet. Not sure how much damage it would do without the fuse. And then the other scare is starting under hood fires from cooked alternators.
  13. I would have to say that might be your issue. Things should slip in without forcing anything other than a heavy transmission. Other than that have you tried different fluid.
  14. When you take caps off, make sure they go where you took them off. If not there is a chance of one being under greased and one over greased, ether on is not good. Under greased will not last as long, over greased can push a pressed seal out of joint when assembling and may get hotter too making it wear faster. Hope I didn't make it more confusing.
  15. I just lost 2-3 mpg from being colder outside. Seeems my boost doubled at cruising speed. Can't catch a break, just went from 285 to 265 in tire size and gained few MPG, shortly after it cooled off and I lost what I gained
  16. I got MX, not that I need it but few more bucks might as well have it. Actually used it once on someone's I know Suburban
  17. I thought we were past this fluid specs in the manual transmission thread
  18. Not easy to come by good people, they're out there. I used to be one of them, but not much time anymore
  19. Kinda like a fishing line on a behind a prop Look on their faces, like now what.... priceless....
  20. I thought them wires were stainless steel Yes they are
  21. I was fortunate enough and didn't have anything tying in to the factory radio/cd, so I just put a CD player with USB in it and it works great, cheap and simple. Just got the plastic install kit and wireing, was very simple to do, I should of done it long ago.
  22. I enjoy seeing your work. Nice to have someone with your heavy equipment type knowledge on this site. Learned a few things already.
