  1. Well the ecm they flashed did work good for 2 days with high idle enabled like i asked and then out of nowhere it threw a p1698 no communication between ecm and pcm I believe so my tachometer quit working and check engine light came on. First time I was able to clear the code and it started to work again and very next day right off the bat it did it again and wouldn't clear and no tach, but otherwise it seem to run fine. So I put my original ECM back in and problems disappeared. So I knew it has to do with ecm and nothing else. Then I called them and at first Dee I believe her name said that it has to be pcm or wiring, then I reminded her of what they did and when I put my other ecm in problem went a way. So she put in a request for a tech to contact me, so now I'm waiting.
  2. Are you sure it's not 3k, 300k puts it at 110,000,000 a year that's a quarter of the US with all immigrants included. And just FYI more people die from blunt object strikes like hammers then guns but no one's talking about that. My response is not aimed directly at you, I just want to make sure the statistics are correct. Don't believe the crap on the news. They make stories to benefit themselves and who pays their salaries. And when you dig deep enough you'll find out that there are only a few big corporations that own all the news channels. And I'm sure their CEOs play golf together.
  3. Yes, I'm guessing it's to keep everything in line so it's straight and not twisting. And maybe to get full range of motion out of the joints. Idk.
  4. I talked to a few guys at part stores and they ship out pallet of new batteries back every so often if they can't sell them. I want to say every half a year. I ended up buying a couple of red top Optimas for $35 a piece back in the day. I had one in my mud truck and the other in my step dad's mud truck, I sold mine with the truck about 5 years later and his lasted about 6-7 with poor maintenance.
  5. I have a single but did put a T in where your smaller line is. One goes to bypass and the other used to be oil temp, now it's just a plug. But I want to agree with @AH64ID on not affecting psi to much as bmk kit has a tiny hole that controls the flow. Whatever you do, don't drill it out bigger. If anything I think it can be a tad smaller.
  6. Found few pictures of someone putting grease zerks in, I think that's what I'll do. And did your bars have this @notlimah @trreed
  7. True story, I had a 9 volt battery in my pocket at work and all the sudden my leg got hot, though I was imagining it then it really got warm, I kinda freaked out because I forgot about the battery in the pocket, but yeah I also had some change in the same pocket. Guys I was with were laughing for a while cause I almost made a little dance pulling that hot battery out. Still get crap about once in a while.
  8. No I didn't want to damage anything, so I'll never know for sure unfortunately. But my original ECM was doing just fine I just don't have 3/6cyl high idle anymore. What weird is it work fine for a couple of days aside from original codes I pulled out of it, and all the sudden it dropped my tech. I'm sure the parts truck probably had high AC noise that caused other things to go out and therefore the rod knock and why they parted it out. Live and learn I guess, I have 400 in the ECM and another 170 to programm it which I thought worked good until this. I loved how high idle turned on and got to hear my truck for the first time run on 3cyl.
  9. So to answer my own question, I messed with wires wiggled them checked codes still no communication. So I put my original ECM back in and everything is fine again. As far as I could tell the only thing wasn't working was my tach, and my ABS brake light disappeared when tech quit working. I did only pay to program that ECM so technically they never checked it to see if it had any problems, so I can't blame this on them. But also the guy I bought this used ECM from swore that the truck ran fine aside from what he fought was a rod knock. So I guess I'm stuck with ECM that needs repair, I'll try calling ACS and see what they have to say.
  10. If your bearing is wore a seal won't fix it for very long. Do you have a gear box brace to keep that bearing from flexing beyond it's capabilities.
  11. You can, but it will not equalize them unless your charger is capable of doing it, which usually means it will charge a battery at 15.0 some volts which is a volt or two overcharging. If I'm thinking correctly. So with your charger just hook to ether battery and leave it for few days. My charger puts out 15 amps on each bank which on my trolling battery if I used it all day it will take about 5-6 hours if it's pretty low.
  12. I would personally disconnect cables and charge each one independently Edit: I actually have a 3 Bank Minn Kota boat charger and One Bank burned out, so I bought a new one for the boat and using this one in the garage. I can charge both batteries at the same time and it has an option to equalize them. I think it just overcharges them and boils crap off the lead. In this case I would definitely want everything disconnected.
  13. Sad but true. I have a nice 1/4" bumper and a dash camera plus a incase they get stupid. I've been in these situations more than once, I now don't take chances and will push them off the road if they try this trick again. But you will have to use a good discernment to be sure it's not a woman driver that is lost, oh snap .... Lots of apologies in advance no sex discrimination intended
  14. There are people that scam you on insurance, they pull in front of you and slam brakes then let go just when you think it's over and let your guard down in few seconds they slam brakes again and you end up rearending them. It's on YouTube look for insurance scam drivers, that's why I have a dash camera now for passed few years, I actually had someone trying something similar on me but when they seen my Dashcam they speeded up and took next exit. My car has nice dents now from this a few weeks back
  15. Is it just easier to rotate by hand but still tight when looking for slack
  16. I'd rather force it through the joint if possible, not sure on clearance there. Can you cut yours open now that it's junk so we can see just kidding of course
  17. Noooooo..... Then maybe I'll drill and tap for grease zerks right a way
  18. That guy in glasses better know what he's doing, I think I'll be needing a VP soon
  19. Well I'm joining the club with rockauto Mopar kit 52122362AL. Wanted to do this sooner but rockauto was out of stock. My y style is getting lose and clunky. Been waiting for this moment for a while now, getting excited still under 300 to my door, here is a 5% off code. 8377585375304033
  20. Yeah, I just thought we were all on the same page here for the most part. Like I said I wasn't trying to offend anyone was just speaking the truth and what I've witnessed.
  21. I knew I shouldn't of said anything about women drivers with you being one. Obviously you're not a common one and know a lot more then an average guy these days. I was speaking about women in general, from my experience there is a much smaller percentage of women that work on vehicles than man. I'm sorry if I offended you, wasn't aimed at you at all. Edit: but yes you are 100% correct, I have friends that have no clue what's under the hood, pretty sad if you ask me.
  22. Yeah I'd pass on that deal. That's why they have all them pumps on the floor, they never send them back But really idk, I'd buy one from industrial injection or something like that before I did this Walmart deal. Jmo.
  23. No it wasn't over filled that much, maybe 1/2 a qt but reason I mentioned it is Walmart people ether overfill it or not put any in, at least around here. I had 2 people in know that Walmart payed for a new engine because their employees forgot to put oil in or didn't get oil pug tight enough, by the time light comes on is usually too late especially if it's a woman driving that has no clue what that light means or what dipstick is. To foam like that you'll need at least 2 extra qt depending on a car. But I thought of that when she first called me.
  24. Are you saying there are 36 teeth on that gear pulley
  25. Aside from the household ones, they burn out way too early. And the package says last blah blah blah, I started to keep box and the receipt now.
