trreed's upgrade thread
@dripley yeah shouldn't be much, like @trreed said 0.006 is all it is, so with time it will be more, but if use more than one brain cell at a time you should be fine just doing your normal driving. It's the sudden shock is what brakes things. I had a brand new set of gears in a 4rnr with 5.56 on 35" tires and had about 10k on them and then one day playing, clunck and 3 teeth are missing on the ring gear. They were Yukon, new set was redesigned with a better yoke, but still just cut it at the right time. Too much traction or sodden jerk and bye bye

Stacked differently or in same order. Guessing different as nothing is identical. I can see thickness of ring gear being same. Ether way you shouldn't had to move it much, I don't think. I know it's time consuming though if you have to do it more than twice lol. One time it took me like 6-7 tries lol but wanted it perfect.

Got this in the mail yesterday and the ecm of course. Just wondering if 3cyl also covers 6cyl high idle @Mopar1973Man or anyone that may know the answer. I'm going to try and swap it out this weekend

Can someone remind me what do grounds under driver side kick panel do I know I had to clean mine before.- New A/C Compressor, Orifice Tube, and Accumulator, and now clutch wont engage.
Can't a guy just change the clutch with magnet/coil instead of changing the entire compressor if nothing is leaking out of it and it's holding vacuum/pressure- 6 Speed manual transmission ~ NV5600 ~ General Questions
Which just doesn't make any sense to me at all, and please don't try to explain ha ha.- New A/C Compressor, Orifice Tube, and Accumulator, and now clutch wont engage.
By jumping compressor it will run no matter what even if you took half the plumbing off. All you're doing is engaging the clutch and since the motor is already turning the pulley, by forcing the clutch to pull in it will turn the compressor. I just don't know if any damage will be done running it like that for a period of time.- New A/C Compressor, Orifice Tube, and Accumulator, and now clutch wont engage.
FYI a lot of these sensors can be changed without discharging the system. There should be a shrader valve behind the sensor that will keep it pressurized. But I never took on out of a dodge so can't tell you for a fact. @IBMobile would know a lot more on this subject- 6 Speed manual transmission ~ NV5600 ~ General Questions
I felt a slight improvement when I switched to amsoil on shifting in 3rd, there must be a common thing with these 3rd gears. The only thing I can think of is po might of did some sled pulling in 3rd 4x4 low on take off. When I bought my truck from him he had a 1st Gen all set up to pull. I asked him playing dumb if he pulled with the one I got and how cool it would be, but of course he said no man. Is that in the air or driving up a certain mountain, guessing in the air as there are a lot of people leaving at high elevation with phone service- 6 Speed manual transmission ~ NV5600 ~ General Questions
Wow you fly and text, nice... I'm jealous how high can you go before you lose service. Which would be odd since satellites are above you.- 6 Speed manual transmission ~ NV5600 ~ General Questions
There is no way I will ever pay that much to rebuild mine, I'll buy another one or a different one before I did that- 6 Speed manual transmission ~ NV5600 ~ General Questions
Maybe that's why my third gear is a bit stiff when it's cold out, but honestly my 02 Accord shifts like butter comparing to my truck. And I tried running Factory Dodge fluid, Pennzoil and now amsoil with about same results. Maybe po abused it before I got it.- 6 Speed manual transmission ~ NV5600 ~ General Questions
@Mopar1973Man can you ask your rebuilder on what he thinks about using your fluid in nv5600, unless he doesn't deal with them. Be curious to know.- 6 Speed manual transmission ~ NV5600 ~ General Questions
