Seems to be really close +-1/2 mile play with it a bit to get it where you think it needs to be. I still don't know if I want to trust GPS fully.

Ha ha, I think @jlbayes was talking about magnets for gasoline engine, there were a lot of people few years back saying that if you put magnets on fuel line will increase fuel economy. I went a step further and made a hydrogen cell that actually gained me about 3mpg on my sentra I had. Edit, who knows if I would have combined that with magnets I might've been making fuel

So is dual disc more for towing, how's daily driving/having fun with it. I've looked at dual disc option before but most say stay with a single disk.

Possible mistake at install, I believe Yukon can tell what went wrong if they see it, but don't know if its worth the headache

I would just put new alternator on and test that if your meter is still all over the place then I would be looking at the different meter

It will help, but if damage is done you need alternator, maybe verify with a different multimeter to be sure.

Maybe both, usually it will try to take ring out 3 teeth one full and one on each side partial, from biting traction or some serious jerking. What brand did you use, did you do break in procedure and oil change soon after. I've done gears before and it takes some time especially if you don't do it every day. Maybe something came lose didn't get lock tited good enough. Need to inspect it closely.

I've witnessed more than once now when I get off the hwy and stab the go pedal quickly few times I'll have white smoke come out, not a lot but definitely white, then I go to take of in gear and it's back to more black puff. Funny thing is it's the same exit, I need to go a different route ha ha.
