  1. That ^^^ and with bigger injectors you really won't need to get in to wire tap that much, I hardly use it myself canbus is almost plenty of power. Now with stock injectors you'll need to use both.
  2. I was afraid you'd say that, can't remember does that erase all tunes too
  3. Well seems like out of nowhere my app is freezing up now when I try to go to custom turning, it will go anywhere else like setting, vehicle selection etc but as soon as I try to access custom tuning it says unfortunately bla bla bla, so I tried my other phone and it's fine, linked unlinked unplugged the box from under hood restarted the phone etc same thing the phone that was always with the truck can't access custom tuning but my other one does it just fine. I must add it all started when this morning I tried changing a variable in my daily tune and went to save that's when it did it and it's refusing to go back to custom tunes and just hangs up and once I hit ok to unfortunately... it just loads up again so everything works but still won't let me access tunes.
  4. Take spark plug wires with you or steering wheel. Now I'm not sure if we're talking new vehicles that don't have a key where you just have this thing with buttons with you and a push button on dash to start or does this effect our trucks
  5. Daily Mail= daily fail , but on that same note I would agree with what you're stating. Just waiting for the day when insurance companies will force us to put GPS in our trucks for safety and better rates. Just a matter of time imo, then they'll just be able to withdraw money for a traffic violations right out of your account since everything will be linked.
  6. That's one reason I still like grids even in warmer temps, but in summer time I see no reason for them. I don't want unwanted wear on the starter, and using mpg switch they only come on for few seconds just enough to start with half the crank.
  7. Mine stays clean on dipstick close to 2k but I do have a bypass filter. I change mine once a year usually unless I get use of it, but sometimes once a year means 4-5k if I drive a lot then every 7k and I haven't changed bypass filter for few years now probably has close to 12k on it now. They say bypass you don't need to change unless it's plugged or 65k or every year, but I think it's a waste of money if you only put 5k on it. Now in only speaking for bypass, I change service filter every time I do oil. Same for my fuel filters they been on for few years now and psi is steady, never got any water out of them so I'm leaving them for now.
  8. I seem to have best luck with Michelins for longevity but the are more hwy tire
  9. Yeah, it's just most people don't have a clue or don't want one they're happy in their own little worlds, I'm scared for my kids's future
  10. Man what a relief that must be.... Maybe you can put your new ECM in classifieds here, seems a lot of people lately had issues with them.
  11. @Me78569 could you please remind me again your latest Flash with 374 f setting, how does that work haven't used it in a while. My brain hurts from thinking.
  12. I'm running 285/70/17 my next set will probably be 265
  13. Have them http://www.northamericanturbo.com build you one. Mine seems to be doing good.
  14. I was always warned about synchros in nv5600 and was told by a very reputable shop to use penzoil synchromesh, they use it on anything that is in question to avoid synchro failure, and that's where I learned to put at least an extra qt in, I'm using more like 2.5 extra and still looking down through shifter hole in can barely see fluid. Currently I'm using amsoil fluid, seems to be doing fine, the only problem I have is my 3rd gear when it's cold doesn't like to go in, but fine when wormes up. I have an aftermarket clutch of unknown put it by po and when tranny is up to temp it raddles, when I push in the clutch noise goes away, I was told it's because of clutch ( no springs in disk maybe ). Some day I'll find out.
  15. You must have been hungry
  16. To be honest original apps are junk, get a timbo and move on. If it doesn't help you're still a step ahead.
  17. Beauty of a truck, looks like 2.5 ton axles too. Easy to make all wheel steer.
  18. Could be ecm, if your old alternator was bad and took it out. Remember when not touching throttle ecm is in charge of idle, then it's apps. If still original get timbo.
  19. @trreed nailed it. That's the bmk21 kit from amsoil. I welded a bracket to frame in that location because I didn't like where they wanted you to put it, (up front by apps sensor or someplace by alternator) it's out of the way and protected where it is now. Easy access.
  20. I have no idea but if I had to guess, no.
  21. No man, there's still a little bit of room in the back, oh wait that's probably cuz someone fell off. Well like I said just going to have to pick someone else up along the road, why waste a good spot. Plus there's still enough space for five six more people on the bike itself.
