  1. Maybe try spinning yokes by hand to line up the gears sometimes it could be just right in between
  2. I would just get a new pump someplace, but before I would remove the old one, I would flush the system till the fluid is clean using the old pump, then install a filter like suggested, then instal a new pump. That way you won't contaminate the new pump. Then change your fluid more frequently along with a filter. On the seal, the one you're holding looks right from the picture. It has metal lip that guides axles haft in. Not sure about them part numbers.
  3. Another great wright up if I didn't already have an rv camera mounted where flip down cup holders go in auto truck and some useless cubby hole on manual, I'd be all over it
  4. ^^^^^ You can add extra 2cycle oil or use biodiesel to buy yourself some time
  5. I'm very happy I'm not in my twenties anymore, where I always wanted to squeeze every last little bit out of anything. On the other hand I'd love to go back when I was in my 20s knowing what I know now.
  6. Or bolts/studs hold and block split
  7. Sure looks like a hg leak, can't see the head from this angle. I don't see why you couldn't drive it to a different shop, just make sure to keep an eye on antifreeze if it's cold where you are, or you could use water for now too. You can put some bars leak for temporary fix. https://www.amazon.com/Bars-Leaks-HDC-Radiator-Tablet/dp/B000KKND3Q/ref=asc_df_B000KKND3Q/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312181776237&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7732679388213945053&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9018656&hvtargid=pla-569057243725&psc=1
  8. Identical to mine with less rust. Personally I'd leave it alone. Put bigger titers on if you want, they will fit no problem. I would not add more block, if anything order custom springs and ladder bars. I would just put bigger tires on what you have and see how you like it. You may get a way with how you use the truck the way it sits. Like mentioned before, 285 size should not cause any major issues, 35" will rub on front but will fit just fine in rear. You can put 1.5-2" leveling k8t in front to minimize rubbing but it will degrade the truck in long run. To each their own. Edit You can put longer control arms on the front and instead of spacer get longer coil springs to make it more right.
  9. I got one just in case, haven't changed it yet. I put new rear speed sensor that goes in rear end and the lights went off and are staying off. Although if I scan it with snap on it still shows signal from front left sensor is randomly dropping. Must not be enough to trigger the abs/brake lights. Wish the obdlink did body codes so I wouldn't have to find people that charge money to pull abs codes and tell me that abs sensor is junk. Still don't get it, snap on said rear sensor is bad but on the monitor it showed perfect chart, changed it anyway and no more problems. I hate automobils.
  10. I would also recheck your valve lash, maybe some valves aren't closing all the way.
  11. I'd say no, just dump it in tank before fill up. Not sure if anyone has done any tests, but i would think if 5%bio has very good lubricating quality, then dumping 2 gallons of cooking oil per 35 gallon tank should be about same. The only thing is clean cooking oil is more expensive then 2cycle asshless oil per volume you have to add. Your fuel in france may be better then what we have here, you may not need to add anything, but if your grandpa was adding it something is telling me it may not be that great. This is just me talking and throwing random numbers out, there are plenty of people on this site that are very knowledgeable and we can debate this topic till the cows come home. We should almost start a topic just for this
  12. I would double check all grounds under the hood in front of driver battery especialy and there is also a ground terminal block under driver side kick panel.
  13. Maybe worth a try, from what I gather they have a average knowledge person that answers emails and a tech that they hold hostage in the back. The reason I say this is when I emailed them few times for consultation they told me sme things that I already knew and then said if I keep having issues they can ask their tech guy in the back. I was going to pick his brain but my 5 year old issue is mostly resolved now and I think I know the rest of the story, so for now I'm letting it go, too many other things to worry about.
  14. We we, us means as a group not as US as united states Wd40 is not a good lubricant more of detergent, I wold not use it. Biodiesel if you have any 5 to 20% is what is sold around here, if you use bio no need for adding 2cycle. I don't think using a gallon/3.78 liters per tank of clean cooking oil will hurt anything in the engine, some people use straight used vegetable oil after filtering it, it's more common with ford/chevy world but I've read some vp owners doing it also. Cold climate is only worry with that.
  15. What did module masters say if anything, what do they think is causing the problem with module. Supposedly they change relay and some other mosfet parts in there.
  16. Make sure you use a quality meter to test for ac ripple, cheap ones are misleading.
  17. Wow that's a lot cheaper then module masters, but I wonder on work quality if all wear parts get replaced or just what failed. I went with ModuleMaster because of good reviews and how long they been in business and @Mopar1973Man delt with them back in the day and his module still works. I find it hard to believe they do all that work for $50, just to open the stupid module take some time and patience. I done talking for now as I never had experience with cia.
  18. I got to add, your grandpa was a smart man using 2cycle back in the day, it took us a few failed pumps to figure that one, wonder if Mike knew your grandpa
  19. You can put bigger tires on the way it is, but bigger tires cause problems, pretty much effect everything. Personally I would not go bigger than 285/70/17 or 285/75/16 This size should fit with no big issues, anything bigger than that will start to degrade the truck. What size tires you got now and what gear ratio. @Mopar1973Man knows all about that one Just trying to keep you from making costly mistakes.
  20. OK I feel like usual, you all talking gallon trip and I was thinking total gallon used, so yeah ignore everything I said. Glad Nick got it all figured out, I may or may not update, don't really care for gallon trip option for some reason.
  21. Always nice to see a clean 2nd Gen in other places other than usa. I was more talking from the side, to see how it sits now, maybe even a picture of rear springs with block just to give u an idea what we're dealing with.
  22. Some were better than others, heard of people changing them as early as 20k. I got my truck with 120k on it and it already had a reman vp for a while from what I was told.
  23. Any pictures of your truck now
