4th gen steering shortfalls?
Picture I posted above has the alignment pins. My y style steering used to hit front pumpkin just enough to scratch the paint off of it. My T style one has a good half inch to spare. This was a direct bolt-on for me as I already had 17 inch wheels, I reused my original pitman arm and didn't have to mess with cone angle for the ball socket. I believe 00,01,02 is a direct bolt on unless you have 16 inch wheels then you can simply grind the studs to clear the rims.

Value of 98 3500 4x4 dually?
it's all about what you're willing to pay and what it's worth to you, what are your plans for it. Best I could say is look around and see what they sell for in good running condition in the shape that you would prefer, then figure in your time material. Sometimes it's easier and more practical to pay a little more and get what you need, and not waste as much time and money fixing it. It's really not an easy question to answer.

Quad and assassin
I think you'll be just fine with mechanical pump, if I did more research when I bought my Fass I'd probably have a mechanical right now. You can tune pretty well with quad to be smokeless. It's truly sad how we can be forced into submission. Good luck to all of us with what's to come.

Abs, brake light, speedo dance
I'd start with rear ABS sensor or just look at the wires going to it especially where they go next to sway bar end link on driver side. They like to wear through and short out robbing on that end link.

4th gen steering shortfalls?
I love mine, got it from rockauto the Mopar upgraded one for 4th gen. I wouldn't have it any other way. Not even sure what the reasoning was for that y style in the first place. Solid bar that connects two front tires makes more sense to me. I think someone reported problems with this brand, so far it's working good 10k later.

vaccum and oil
I believe they are but I never measured them. You can get a roll of air brake line from some truck place. Around here they sell it by the foot. Then you can get a few rubber adapters at your local hardware or auto parts store. 1/8th inch air brake line should be more than enough to control your HVAC and Cad if you have one. I believe a quarter inch line goes up to firewall and from there it's all 8th. Someone else will correct me here in a minute

Track Bar Keeps Coming Loose
I believe they sell kids to retrofit an adjustable track bar to our second to our 2nd gens. I made my own bracket on the frame and modified my track bar tha to be adjustable with poly bushing in each end. Might have cost me fifty bucks to do it, that was when I had way more time than money, now I don't have neither these pictures are before I upgraded to 4th gen steering, my track bar is still doing fine

vaccum and oil
Yes vacuum leaks increase blow-by, mine makes a drip once in awhile. I don't see why you couldn't hang another puke bottle on the end of the tube. One of the reasons to get it away from the front is so your radiator stays clean. If you ran it up and over motor and down between motor and bellhousing, then puke bottle should have no ill effect in that location.

rear drum setting
I think it's important to put a drum on and step on the brake few times and spin the drum just to make sure everything is seated in place, they may need to just a little bit more again.

Buying a Quad soon
I notice a big drop in mpg when it gets below 40, also if I drive faster then 65 mpg drops too. Lately I've been getting around 16 mix driving. In summer I'll get close to 19. I can get over 20 in summer if I drive nice. Actually I got my quad fuel usage dialed in to almost exact amount when filling up and if I drive accordingly I can probably get closer to 23-24mpg I just don't have patience for it.

Front brake pad life, auto trans
At least you had dynamic redo it for you and with your lock up switch, you now have best of both worlds.

Front brake pad life, auto trans
It's getting ridiculous driving in bigger city's, everyone in an auto and on the gass pedal. So many times I've almost been rear-ended when shifting from 1st to 2nd. I feel that day is getting closer

Issue with acdelco ball joints
I got my original fitment spicer balls joints from local Sadler power train. Spicer has gone down hill from what I hear, I'm hoping I got old stock or maybe they get better supply as they rebuilt a ton of axles, gearboxes etc and they use spicer as main supplier. Idk anymore who to trust on parts, it's a gamble.

Sticking Front brake caliper..... or what
Last time I used valvoline dot 3-4 synthetic, this time I got some supertech from wallmart in dot4 synthetic. Guessing there is no difference in brand name other than price. I'll give it a try and see how it goes. Edit Not sure how it's both at same time https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/valvoline-dot-3-and-4-brake-fluid-32-oz.-601458/7080002-p?product_channel=local&store=3365&adtype=pla&product_channel=local&store_code=3365&gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1269695&ds_rl=1269728&ds_rl=1274535&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7YKuzPLy5gIVj4bACh3a6gHUEAQYASABEgL8UvD_BwE

Want a little more power
It may worth calling them, I didn't find them on line one of our old members knew the guy and gave me his number. Just tell him word got around and he has few happy costumers and tell him what you want, I'm sure he can build it for you.

Want a little more power
I paid 800 total delivered to my door. Got it from https://north-american-turbo-systems-llc.myshopify.com/ I delt with Zach, been a few years now. So far it works good, they have different options on sizes. I told him I needed as close to s362 as possible and needed it to have a 5 bolt flange for down pipe that I can bolt my BD exhaust break to. You can send yours in as a core for 100 but I kept mine, it's worth more than 100 to me so it could have been 700. I had few minor issues I had to fix, like flange bolts were too short, I reused my old ones. Did tell Zach about it, he said it was a mistake on his part. Then had to clock the compressor housing and then had a boost leak, so I used a little rtv and it sealed right up. Zach said it's a common practice on some that won't seat all the way. Plus he said they only use holset parts nothing from china. comparing hx35 to hx35/40 hybrid

Want a little more power
That is correct, I never got my 2 figured I'd order a spear. Been running my custom 62/67/12 with plugged waste gate. I did look at k27 just for the fact it's a bit bigger than stock and my exhaust brake would bolt up to it. Ended up having one built for $800 bigger and still fits my brake. If it wasn't for EB I would get s362 or something like that with 4" outlet. That with the quad and some 7x10 would be a good set up.
