  1. TV must be a part, that's why it's called tell a lie vision programming.
  2. Some day it will be a state where the only thing you're allowed is work, pay bills and watch tv.
  3. What is the deal with all this intrastate vs instate crap. What's wrong with regular license, this place is getting crazier by day. We had to change all our cdl licence here for work too few years back. Funny you say that, the other night it was 10f out and I started the truck without greed heaters (forgot the switch) stumbled a bit and got going. Anyway got home and next day there are few drips on ground. Took a closer look and it's power steering fluid coming from the top plate where you adjust over center. I snagged the 4 bolts, one was little lose, hoping that will do it. Looks like there are some metal shims in there, they probably act as a gasket too. Never fails, guessing fluid was cold and thick and it had to go someplace. This was first time I ever touched the 4 bolts on top.
  4. As long as it's not like smarty where it modifies ecm signals and just monitors, you should be fine. A lot of times I forget my obd link in obd port for a month.
  5. Do you have a niddle valve to reduce water hammer, if so it may be shut off to the point where it takes that long for pressure to rise. Which is a good thing, but if you want to crack it open just to see if pressure comes up quicker, then I would turn it back to how it is now. If not then maybe you're draining back while truck is not running and that's why your rpm takes a bit to build up. Double check all your connections.
  6. Your canbus fuel is ramping up way to slow to have bottom end power, jmo
  7. Nice, I'd go for a ride. Makes me want to get one now Here is our last trip to Canada in September, can never get enough of it. Seen bears at camp almost got one pet one on accident few drinks after long fishing day would do that. We slept in a boat and hammock on the way up 30 minutes before camp parking waiting for sun to come up, after the whole bear thing we were like, yeah... That cat could care less Kinda like me at the time, i don't even think bear cared.
  8. I have a minkota charger with 3 banks I used to use in the boat, then one bank got fried so I got a new 4 bank charger for the boat and use old one on stuff around house, it has settings for different batteries and an option to equalize. Pretty nice charger but pricy.
  9. Got lucky on Craigslist, got a minkota terova for half price bearly used from an older guy, he got a new one that self lunches. I love it, not sure how I went without it. Has a remote control and foot control, remote makes it nice for all kinds of scenarios. I have two 31 class 12v battery's, that will last all day slow trolling, I believe top speed is around 6-7mph.
  10. From what I heard, equalizing batteries is not the recommended to do often, maybe once a year, depends on usage. I'm on 8 years now and just used equalizing feature first time last spring. It basically overcharges the batterys to boil crap off lead so it makes better contact with acid/electrolyte. Definitely need to keep water level up so non of lead is exposed. On my boat I check it every season and do add some di water every year. Maybe because when I use trolling motor 24v and charge it all the time, it evaporates quicker than the truck. I do check electrolyte in truck batteries once a year, but only had to add it once so far.
  11. I was going to say the same thing, if he has limited slip it may be clutch chatter his hearing, these take limited slip additive. Or possibly something is coming undone in the rear end.
  12. I'm guessing the vp code may go away if lift pump works correctly
  13. What model fass, how did you hook it up. 2 power wires for motor go to battery and a plug, plugs close to ecm area.
  14. I haven't even opened the box that mine came in
  15. On my vw there is a what's called swirl flaps, it's a spacer that goes the length of the plenum. Designd to push more air in at lower rpms I think. They avantualy wear out and brake, causing some pieces to go in engine and damage. Not sure if yours same or similar. I had mine disabled in full open position. You can buy a spacer kit I believe to eliminate it.
  16. I'm no sunny beach, but maybe there is a pin you pull after installing it and then it come out to whatever length it needs
  17. There is a certain way to change it, make sure to follow instructions. I haven't done it on my truck yet but do have a switch for some reason , oh yeah I was trouble shooting my abs light and was going to change it then figured out it was a sensor in rear end.
  18. Probably just a bad brake switch https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dodge,1999,ram+2500+pickup,5.9l+l6+diesel+turbocharged,1377569,electrical-switch+&+relay,brake+light+switch,10474
  19. I had a 16000 ramsey winch back in the day, it was a beast, cable that was on it snapped when I was pulling a bronco out of a steep ditch sideways. We had no other choice, luckily it shaped when it was getting on more level ground. No one was in it and both tires were flat and rolled off the rims on the side towards my truck, btw this was mounted out my off road monster truck, that had 2.5 ton Rockwell axles with overson shafts and lockers thing was cool. I was against a tree with front bumper and when pulling my rear-end came off the ground few feet, hado so much tension. Then I put a rope that I believe was rated at 30000 and it did snap avantualy too. That was a nice winch, heavy and expensive. Now I got a 12000 from Harbor freight that I only used few times, it seems to work great if you give it a break on longer pulls. Same a above I got the remote that makes it very nice, can't beat it for the price and how often I need it. I also don't have it mounted permanently, I hate that idea, maybe when I get week and can't lift it any longer I'll leave it be. When I made my front bumper I put a receiver in it so I can use the winch and ran cables front and back, makes it more useful. We've been stuck in my step dad's toyota 4rnnr by the river and only trees were behind us, it was great being able to pull ourselves backwards. Using harbor freight 12000. I did build him some nice bumpers and all around nerf bars, he loves it, more than once slid against a tree and didn't damage anything, a little black paint fixes it. He's in he's late 60s and usses that thing almost every week in summer or when it snows in winter. Sorry got off to pick a bit. Btw I never installed the overload bar that came with that winch, used it without it for years, then decided to put a resettable 150 amp breaker and it poped way to easy, may need to try 200 amps.
  20. My speculations is you have 2 bad ecms, wts not coming on is the sign. Also tack doesn't work on dash but does through obd. I'm a dumb dumb when it comes to these things, just regurgitating what I heard. If you repair ecm, make sure to fix the problem that caused it to go out. Most of the time it's alternator with high ac noise, I would only buy genuine alternator and not part store one, then you need a WT mod to reduce ac noise even more and just helps your electrical all together. Then there is a pcm protection mod you can also do.
  21. Try finding used original housings maybe that are not faded if there is such a thing. They worked ok for a long time. I actually sanded mine with different send paper until I got all the crap off then put a coat of non yellowing clear coat I found at paint store. I didn't even get all send marks out, clear did the trick. And then put better bulbs in (not led or anything crazy) just some original bulbs that produced more light, forgot the name, sylvania makes them. Worked for a while, then I switched to morimotos
