  1. So what is the recommendation for those with Duallys? I've been taking one side of rear tires and moving those to the front and taking the front two and putting them in the rear, ie. the 2 rear-right go to the front and the front goes to the rear-right. The next rotation I will swap with the left side.
  2. : You never know, maybe that is the GUY that was driving...
  3. They were backing into trucks!! Every once in a while the red-neck blood in all of us kicks in and we feel the urge to go demolition derby in the parking lot. However, most of us can suppress those urges.
  4. I once had a car hit an old Ford that I had that was parked. I asked him several times how he hit a parked truck. It is understandable how someone can hit a moving vehicle, but the truck wasn't going anywhere, there was no guessing what it was going to do--it was going to stay there. I got a fat insurance check for the dented door and sold the truck a month later. It really was a blessing in disguise . As long as nobody got hurt it is nice to look back and laugh at these instances.
  5. That car took a beating! Was your truck parked when it was hit?
  6. I did this for several years with my dad. Unfortunately I developed a sever allergy and had to quit. My father still has lots of colonies and makes a little bit off the honey he gets each year. I have never lost the interest in bee keeping and I get the each every now and then to get back into--hoping that I have lost my allergy. I'll be very interested in your pictures and posts.
  7. I bought my truck with 100K on it. I changed my transmission oil soon after and it did seem to shift better. I would certainly suggest that it should be changed at some point and the oil level certainly needs to be checked. It was really simple and I used an Amsoil product.
  8. I like following this project. Keep posting updates and pictures.
  9. Pull the tires and check the rubber. Do you have any spots that are more bare than others? Cords showing in one area? Just a thought.
  10. I'm not sure this is something to get spun up over. What are the chances of legislation would be passed that would outlaw modifying repairing your vehicle. Think of the precedent that would set. Would that open doors to make it illegal to make repairs or install upgrades on your home or other purchased goods as well? This would open Pandora's box. This is also the first I have read or seen of this, so I question the validity of the article. Of course, I always advocate writing your representatives and see how they feel about the subject--just don't plot to land a plane on the Capitol Building's lawn to deliver the letter...there are much better ways to deliver your message.
  11. I have an XD 40 that I have been carrying for over 10 years. It is a reliable and you can't go wrong with it. It is became a very popular gun so accessories are pretty common.
  12. No. I left my stock pump installed and I can use that to prime my system, but you don't have to have one. I don't see why the Fuel Boss wouldn't prime the system by cranking the engine. The assassin mechanical pumps don't use an electrical lift pump and there are several posts on the WWW that have left out the electrical LP from their Fuel Boss systems. I just figured it was easier to not remove it, and to be honest, my stock LP may not even work...I wouldn't know if it were dead.
  13. I've heard of a lot of people hesitant to install a mechanical pump because they want to see one with X amount of miles; however, these same people continue to consider expensive electrical pumps that don't last a year . I weighed the options of the electrical pumps when I was in the market for a new LP and the cost wasn't that much different. I liked what I say and read and I figured I would give it a try. I have no worries about my pump. Cold or hot, slow or fast, the pump continues to push fuel at a consistent rate.
  14. I never worry about my mechanical fuel pump. No fluctuations in pressure, just solid performance from my Fuel Boss.
  15. They are less than $70 on amazon and if you already have a smart phone or tablet is seems like a nice way to go. Why do I have an urge to spend money after every post I read on this site?
  16. Will this display and clear trouble codes?
  17. There are lots of videos on you tube that will walk you through redoing your headliner. I thought there was a post on here not to long ago about this topic. Maybe do a search, I can't remember who posted it.
  18. Good luck. I messed up a couple of bots swinging a mallet to break it loose and like Michael I was able to clean them up with a bench grinder. When I put it back together and put anti seize and everything.
  19. I recently removed mine and it was a pain in the butt. Are you putting the extension on one of the 4 bolts that secure the hub? I used a 4" extension and it worked like a dream. I did it by myself which took a lot more time and made it much more difficult, but had I a helper to hold the extension it would have been much easier. I'll try to find a link to the you tube video that helped me.
  20. Thanks Michael. I am going to ditch the aligator clamps that came with the kit and install eyelets for a more secure mount to the batteries. Do you have any suggestions for a decent digital ampmeter? I would like to install one in my trailer.
  21. I think this is pretty sweet.
  22. I bought my solar panel kit over the weekend and I am impressed with it so far. My question is, do I need to disconnect the charge controller each time I plug the trailer into shore power or plug the trailer into the truck? Do I need a some type of a isolator so that power is not back feed into the controller? Would that even damage the controller? I guess it would be easy to install a toggle switch...
  23. I have an anode in my trailers how water heater
  24. Why do you subtract 5 PSI?
