  1. Yep, you need to be at .03 or under. More than that will cause issues.
  2. so should I setup a go fund me account? I am pretty sure the wife would kill me if I got a new injection pump before she got a 6.7
  3. nah p7100's are boring. If anything h pump...but those are stupid pricey. besides if I was to try and put 700 hp to the ground my truck would fold in half....
  4. nah she runs too good now. I don't need more power.
  5. I understand that you are tired of fighting it, but you aren't really fighting the trans just crappy workmanship sadly. You really arent any safer with a nv4500 when it comes to quality of the rebuild.
  6. Good work. I am always excited to see the progress.
  7. Question is what's involved in swapping a 4x4 4500 in place of a 5600. Is it a direct swap or do you need a different driveshaft etc. Hard choice to make.
  8. ahahahahah that's pretty good.
  9. I couldn't complain about that. My auto rule of thumb, if any part lasts 100k then it is in no way unreliable.
  10. Tyler has a few lolol. Personally dap because they are good to deal with. There are only a handful of rebuilders out there so most of the timing you are getting the same pump regardless of who you get it from. Blue chip does not have a test bench...Keep that in mind. By the way as of 2004 ish all vp44s are built with upgraded parts.
  11. Moved it for ya bud.
  12. I'll dust off the bmw. She needs Alittle attention anyways
  13. oh man I can't believe I forgot this..
  14. Nice log. just a reminder to everyone, that the latest tunes are hosted here https://mopar1973man.com/files/category/14-2nd-generation-24-valve-tunes/ the last tune resolves a warmup bug that might cause a knock due to too little timing after 120* ect at idle.
  15. got any thoughts? Mike was saying he has a pretty thick smell of diesel out the tail pipe when it is missing. oh, Sorry I can't keep things straight.
  16. i'd throw some hose clamps on there. I know push lock sare good to a given psi, but trans temp and pressure might push that limit.
  17. Make sure they test it before you take it home. It is really common to see 3 or 4 bad alternators in a row from a parts store.
  18. @crf450ish Does the miss come and go?
  19. so you pulled in idling great after giving her hell, but earlier it was misfiring like nuts? doesn't really seem to follow conditions? unplug the Quad box and put the map back to stock for your next trip, see what happens? I doubt the quad is doing anything since you didn't have the issue on lvl 0, but it is an easy thing to test.
  20. What are the odds you are getting fuel from a new place related to your travels as of late? Odds that a cross over tube is on the brink? there's an existing bug in the timing, but only if ect is between 120* and warmup temp setting, but it would only happen at idle and in warmup mode. Issue is that the quad is ignoring the 2nd check ( well was I fixd it) and causing timing ot be retarded to soon. IE 15* instead of 17* I am assuming you were taking it easy during all of this trying to get her home? driving style didn't seem to effect the miss?
  21. No issue with it shifting cylinders, it's just firing every other cylinder, doesn't matter which ones.
  22. If she lost her job for x y z reason I am forced to believe there is a better door open.
  23. Bigger than stock tires? I really don't want to push timing that hard that low, I tried to pick the best range for cruise timing that wouldn't be in a lugged state.
  24. I think what is happening is when Warmup "trigger it causes a ever so slight delay and causes the ecm to fire a double 0 command, thus shifting the 3 cyl to the front 3 cyls. not sure how to handle this, or if I should I dunno. I went out and drove it hard. Pulled really great to 3500, then power started to fall off, but it is butter smooth even to 3700 rpm. I am sure peak power was still at 2800 ish, maybe 3000 but it pulled nice.
