Like I said, I haven't got to drive it afterdark yet and i've had it on a week. I go to work for 7 pm and it's light out, when I get off in the morning it's light out. One of my days off i'll take it out some night. I'm sure it'll be a nice upgrade

Thanks for the replies fellas, but he called today to make arrangements to go look at it tomorrow, it was sold. To top it all off, the transmission went out of his Chevy this morning when going to a job with his excavator, so now he's got his truck in the garage with the tranny out, and his pocket is about to get lighter :spend:He's not a happy camper to say the least

A friend called me today and said he knows of a 2003 Ram for sale pretty reasonable...he wanted to know what the issues are with this year truck. I said I have no idea but I know a bunch of guys that will...so anyone wanna shoot me some opinions and issues they have so I can try to help him out? It's Cummins too btw. He's a Chev man so it'd be a hoot to see him driving that thing..I'd never let him live it down

The more I drive this thing with the Edge the more i'm liking it. I had the Quadzilla XZT and I think the mileage selection on the edge is way more power then the power mode of the XZT. I think I am feeling just a touch of surging with the Edge on the highway but not bothering me bad enough to complain about it , can't even say for sure it's the Egde doing it The XZT gave me a bucking feeling @ low rpm's in higher gears which was annoying, always had to shift to get rid of it.

I guess it's no good for him to cry over spilt milk now, nothing he can do to get his money back. Only thing he can do if he wants more peace of mind is put a different pump on it to give him the fuel pressure he feels he wants

Anyone have one of these? Put $140 in my truck this morning and it wasn't even empty . I think they need to take all the oil exectutives, all gov't people letting the oil companies rule the pricing, and put them on an island way out in the middle of the ocean. Then tell all the United nations there are terrorists on that island that have been stealing from the rest of the world and trying to take it over...then blow it up like they do every other country, because that's exactly what they are dong..stealing from the rest of the people. And we sit like little puppets that can't do a damn thing about it

you know, I totally agree with your point. I will say though a friend once said to me...when you have a problem, no matter how big or small, no matter if others would look at it as a problem or not, to you it's still a probleml. I as well as others i'm sure, spend way to much time focusing on "problems" that in reality sometimes we can do nothing about, and yet we complain or grumble about it to no end, then the problem alot of times goes away on it's own and you look back and say, why did I worry or complain about that like I did , it was nothing! Human nature maybe, Idk , but it's too bad a person couldn't stop and think of how good you have it, even if there's others that have it better, there's always someone that unfortunetly doesn't even have it as good as you do .

Didn't want to start a new thread for this question so I thought I'd add it here since it is tank related. So if a gauge is possibly reading wrong, if I want to run it down almost empty and then fill it to see how much it takes ,I wonder if the low fuel warning light will come on before it runs out, or is that geared up to come on with the gauge reading some how and it wont recognize that the tank is actually getting that low

Actually i'm running the stock air box with stock type filter. I believe I put a Fram filter in it last time

So i thought i'd go out and remove the silencer ring today for kicks (not a big difference in whistle IMO ) and this is what my turbo looks like. Is the oil residue normal,and if you look close it looks as if the impeller or whatever you call it, rubs the housing, but I can spin it and it doesn't scrape at all even though it awefully clean where it spins. I pull in and out with no movement that I can tell and maybe a hint of up and down movement. On a last note, sorry to beat this boost elbow to death but the picture with the elbow and the hose coming off it, is that where I install the new one?
