  1. " Now I was just outside looking at things and realized my steering shaft is in really bad shape. Super loose. So I guess I'll be ordering up one of them too. They are about $150 for a Forman." @leathermaneod you should also check rock auto for the steering shaft. I think it was around $75-$80? With the 5% code the have.I just installed one on my uncles '99. It was the same Dorman part# Autozone lists
  2. I also ran that same SB in my old 99' and loved it. It drove just like stock pretty much but held the added power. Just my
  3. It's beautiful up that way. Did you go up Berthoud or up through silver thorn? I dropped my mom off at my sisters in steamboat Wednesday, worked in Silverthorn and around Blackhawk until Sunday. Did you get any snow? I had a dusting Thursday night north of Blackhawk
  4. @notlimah right now it's in a tapped 90 into the vp44. I haven't made time to install a "t".
  5. @notlimah I'm running pretty much the same setup as you are. Draw straw V, fass150 and Ev1 mechanical fuel pressure guage. As soon as I cycle the key to run I can hear my pump run for maybe a second or 2 however my guage moves instantly to 7-10 psi with just that short burst and falls slowly until I start it up. I had to fiddle for a bit with my needle valve to find the spot where I could get the guage to react without bouncing(water hammer). Once started it sits steady between 18-19 psi.
  6. I'm sure that should seal now. I can't be the old washers weren't visibly leaking. A ratcheting 17mm would be handy. I just used a stubby 17mm and it worked a little easier than a longer one.
  7. This is great information guys! I was considering Amsoil because both my uncle and cousin have been running it for 165k+ but I'm going to give 50wt a whirl! Well now @cowboy has me
  8. That sounds decent. I had a new front driveshaft built for my old truck last year at drive train specialties for $275
  9. I ran mine toward the rear as well for easier routing of the hose
  10. Spring time in the Rockies! This was around noon today on a lunch break from plowing 32" and counting
  11. I haven't called to see if he still has the rearend out of the 01' but may be worth a call. http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/pts/5531038659.html
  12. If you want to try running them again let me know
  13. There's a company call Sikkens that makes great coatings for wood. Best stuff I've ever used for wood preservation in the elements.
  14. " Also, for those who haven't had to do this, prepare to get your Ethan Hunt on!" Haha That's the truth! I just replaced the banjo washers on a friends truck a week ago. Kinda have to get your Braille on too.
  15. They're family more than we realize
  16. I'll be back up there Wednesday if you want me to send you a picture or come up and look at it
  17. How about a regular can shortbed 3/4 ton 1965? I've got one in Blackhawk
  18. That's what the bumper sticker says "soot" happens...well sometimes
  19. Top of Golden Gate Canyon last Saturday 16". And another 10" so by noon today. More to come this weekend!
  20. I would also check the dampener for wear. The rubber on mine was protruding out both sides and my alignment marks were off by ~1/16". I went down to Rocky Mountain Cummins and picked one up...noticeable difference in how much smoother it is!
  21. Looks like it to me. I'm pretty sure all the aurora turbos have the larger flanges
  22. No mpg/high idle switch on my uncles truck. He has been thinking it was the ecm for a while. Going to call module masters and talk to them and see what they say.
