Soldering Cables
I'll be danged. At least I used the right solder. I will just keep an eye on them.

Soldering Cables
I will have to look at mine when I get home. Never heard of the pine sap thing. Thought you were kidding.

Front axle centering.
If it were to short it would just sit to one side and stay there. Yours maybe to short, that I dont know. But if the track joints are good and not moving, something else is. Maybe the sway bar, though I am not sure how it would move unless it is loose at the frame??

Soldering Cables
Pretty sure mine was plumbers flux. Do they make flux specific to electrical?

Front axle centering.
You can do that simple test just sitting in the truck, no help needed. Just look out over the hood and turn the wheel a little each way. If the track bar is bad you can see the hood move in relationship to the ground or anything in front of you. I noticed mine in my gravel driveway at home. The track is the only part on the front end that holds the axle from moving.

Front axle centering.
Unless your track bar is faulty how is the axle moving? Faulty as in one of the joints failed to allow movement. I know when my last one failed you could turn the sreering wheel back and forth and watch over the hood and see the body move back and forth about 2" before the wheels turned.

Fuel mileage sucks! Please help!
My mechanical shows 0 at idle. Never looked at load. But my EGT's will drop to 250 just idling. Takes a minute or so to get there.

Front axle centering.
Is one wheel sticking out from the fender and the other recessed? From the looks of the pics @dave110 might be ontothe problem.

Poor ride quality/Bouncing around
I 40 out here in NC had some sections that were poured concrete in sections maybe 30 or 40 feet long. The settled over the years differently and made for a very bad road. The road would beat you to death in thise sections. Arkansas was worse when I first worked out there. Fortunately all those stretches have been redone. But they were harsh on the arse and the truck.

VP-44 Failure?
We have seen a few long life VP's of late. @Mopar1973Man at 243k I saw someone post up a pump with 253k, @Tractorman I think. Could be wrong. Mine has 240.5k and still going. And now @Rotax3006 with 252k. I be interested just like @Dieselfuture in how treated yours. Mine got good fuel pressure and a steady diet of 2 stroke. It has also survived 2 lift pump failures.

The start of a good engine build
That could be part of it for sure. I know suffer from it.

P1693 no other code
The can fail right out of the box for AC and most parts houses dont know what they are looking for when testing nor the level that is acceptable. WT's ground mod is in the articles section along with Mike's simplified version. A most worthwhile and simple modification.

The start of a good engine build
Same here.

VP-44 Failure?
I would say you are right on track with a VP failure. Codes are pointing that way too. You can get a better deal than $1500 on a VP. DAP and Vulcan performance will get you in for just over a grand depending on what you want.

P1693 no other code
I second that motion.

Fuel mileage sucks! Please help!
With 0 boost on top of that with mine. Cruising at 70 in mine, 2000 rpm and 3 to 4 pounds of boost. Definitely some drag there somewhere. I can get 11 mpg pulling the 5th wheel at 65 and it weighs15k.

The start of a good engine build
8 months might be more than enough.

New ecm, no power at all
To be sure I understand you sent yhe ECM to SIA and they condemned it? Then sent it to the company in Florida to rebuild it? Were any of the above codes showing before you sent the ECM off for diagnostics or rebuild?

Lets see who you are!
Appreciate what you do for us. Got 3 grandsons in the 82nd. One with jump wings, the other two in more logistical areas.

Soldering Cables
I dipped all my cable ends in flux prior to heating them. Just me.

Optimum fuel pressure?
I have been running between 15 to 20 psi the entire 240k mile life of this VP. Only see the 15 psi at WOT. Normal driving i see 17.5 to 20.

Gauge cluster overlay
https://www.amazon.com/1999-2002-Dodge-Diesel-Cummins-Gauges/dp/B0031W1FN Saw this one. E bay also had some but I know nothing about any of them other than what would be in any reviews.
