Problem with doors
I dont have the problem but I would think your hinges or door latch is shot. The latch might just need adjusting. Are they hard to close or drooping in the openings?

Fuel pressure sensor install.
As hard asI try I can't remember what the stock set up was. Seems the whole schrader valve unscrewed from whatever fitting was stock. If thats the case as long as the threads are the same it should work. I am thinking anything on that pump is metric.

Fuel pressure sensor install.
PersonallyI left that open for a test gauge if needed later to check the in cab gauge. I teed mine off after the filter canister.

VP-44 Failure?
Mine got to where it would only go to certain rpm and no higher and belch blue smoke sometimes and others run just fine. The dealer replaced it under warranty but not the lift pump. I got to do that on my dime 75k later. Actually that was my last trip to the dealer after I found out it was a $900 POS. This was the beginning of my education as to what makes a Cummins run. Mike lost his oe also on his 5 speed around the same mileage as a few others here have. I just never paid attention to what transmissions they had. Then again here latey I have seen 2 or 3 folks that 2 to 300k+ out of their OE ones. I hate to say it but back then I did not know about DTC's. My 96 3/4 ton had a V10 and only gave me one problem the 2.5 years I had it. Dropped a valve thru the #10 piston. I did not need a DTC for that. So my education continues.

1999 24v fuel return line questions
The stock return lines more than adequate for the job, but i dont see why you could not put something together. Couldn't be that hard. I am going to something before pay the ridiculous price the tee grommets. But to answer your question, i have not.

Extreme erratic loss of power, feels like driving over washed out road
I stay as far away from the dealer as I can unless I find something on the internet they offering for a reasonable price. The parts look up tool here works good for finding part numbers. I use often.

You should be good then. Could not remeber what years they came on.

Extreme erratic loss of power, feels like driving over washed out road
On my 02 the threads at the VP and the filter canister were the same. I just used what came with the AD to connect to the canister. The big kit I used did replace all the oe fittings on the filter canister and at the VP. They are not 1/2" due to the openings they thread into but the fittings are larger than the OE. OE is about 1/4" and the new fittings are about 3/8". They are metric in size I just forget the actual size. Pretty sure my canister is different than yours. Mine accesses the flter by unscrewing the top and canister stays place. I did not have to buy any thing other than the AD and the big line kit for the install. Most folks do plumb right to the VP but I still wanted the functions of the OE canister and the system works fine.

Just run it thru the filter canister if you want to. You will jneed a big line kit to eleminate the restritive banjo bolts and fuel line from the canister to the VP.. I kept mine as part of the system. Vulcan Performance and maybe DAP carry them.

Big change in my life...
As we spoke about earlier my recovery was fairly simple. Our problems are similar at least in the way they have to be accessed so I hope your recovery will be as simple as mine. All my best wishes from the Chicken Man.

I still love the stock wheels. Wish mine had not all cracked. See them for sale quite a bit but worried they will do the same thing.

Difference between valair hydraulics and stock hydraulics
I lost my master cylinder about 9 or 10 years ago. I bought a replacement master from one of the big box stores. At the time I never had heard of having to replace the whole thing as a unit. I installed and spent the next 3 weeks pumping all the air out while driving it. It did work but was a pain. since then I have replaced my slave cylinder with a Rock Auto replacement. It came with a bleeder screw and made the bleed process easy. Seems the master ought to come that way also. That being said you can replace both completely against the rules if you have patience. Mike's way is most likely easier but I have never tried it. Other than the cylinders on mine, the tubing is all the oe stuff. My advice is you do not have to spend the money for HD hydraulics. I currently have a SB con ofe in mine. Not a dual. Ignorance is bliss sometimes.

Big change in my life...
Sorry to hear about this my friend. Went thru something similar with an enlarged prostare. Was on a road trip when my urine flow stopped. Ended up in a hospital and got catherized twice cause they screwed the first one up. Ended up getting a precedure called TURP if remeber that right. More affectionately known as "roto rooter". I will let your imagintion run with that. No cancer fortunatley as I hope yours turns out. Not fun to think about. Both of you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Wishing you a speedy and clean recovery.
