  1. Isn't there a sticker on the fender telling you which battery to jump from? I would go check but it's cold and it's my day off so I'm not getting dressed.
  2. They make the dodge positive cable like ford does. They are bit pricey, I paid about $80 for all three of my cables. Mine are OEM size though, I imagine those are a bit bigger. I do have a lifetime warranty if they fall apart, just got to keep them clean.
  3. I went to Napa and had them make me new cables. I wasn't aware at the time that the 2 piece positive cable was normal. Having just owned 2 IDI fords, I thought it was hacked together like that. The condition of the terminals also helped reinforce that feeling. I had my new positive cable made like the ones on my Fords, one long cable.
  4. When my dad made dump runs with our little trailer, I was probably 14-15, he would have me back the trailer in as he wasn't very good at it. My Dad backed into our house once. I also spent a lot of time driving my mothers truck backwards and forwards down our driveway before they built the circle around the house.
  5. I actually got a set of 4 of these for $40 on amazon, other 2 are on my headache rack. So far I am having good luck with the Auxbeam lights, 4 cubes on the back and a 30" bar on the front. I had a 20" bar but gave it to a friend and it still works great with no moisture going on 2 years now. The wife got me a Mictuning bar for christmas, gonna see how that one does. I can totally understand that, but I drive better backwards than I do forwards so it's never been an issue.
  6. I'm just running a couple $20 Auxbeam cubes triggered by reverse lights with a relay.
  7. I still don't hardly recognize your truck without those old aluminum wheels. Those OEM steels do look a lot better though, offset is nicer too.
  8. I see, you are right, I can't find the 2 piece Ram style cover either, just the generic one piece deals. I found the 2 piece version for the 17" Ram dually wheels, but not the 16's.
  9. No kidding, that's painful to look at. Really, no leveling kit? The first pic certainly looks leveled, either way it looks good. I guess if the paint job was crummy before, may as well redo the majority of it right. I miss the two-tone paint scheme's, seems like manufacturers got lazy. I could be wrong, but I think ford was the last one doing it on a regular basis, up into the late 90's. I may have an old sales catalog from 1995 when I got my 2nd truck, I remember it showing all the different two-tone options.
  10. I call it anti-terrorist blue, lol. If it were my truck, if the top were done then I would want the jambs to match. Both colors are kind of dark though so you may not notice to much. The bottom would be easier and cheaper I assume due to less paint needed. I used some spray and peel paint on the bottom half of my truck to see if I would like it before having anything permanently done. Looking at your truck makes me want to get a leveling kit now.
  11. When I left, I'm not exactly sure what it was doing. I couldn't see snow, fog or rain, but my windshield was getting wet. I was working on overland near latah, and everything was covered with snow by the time I got there. It snowed every day that week out at micron, but I think that's more influenced by something they release into the air. I don't recommend eating the snow out there.
  12. It was that long banked curve into town between mcdonalds and Les Schwab. It didn't look to bad, but had a shine to it. I had slowed down before going through it but as I was gradually increasing throttle I just hit that fueling ramp and the sudden boost of power was enough to kick it out. I've also had AT tires my whole life, this is my first winter with MT's so I'm trying to be extra careful until I learn how they behave. What time were you out and about, I left the house at 4:30 and it was sprinkling snow, everything was covered by the time I got to work. I went home about 10:00 and the main roads and freeway were fine, things just started getting moist again as I got back to Kuna.
  13. You're gonna pay out the nose to have the ram logo on there. Most aftermarket units are blank to avoid the licensing fees. When I had my ford, I got a set of alcoas for it with no caps. I went to a place called Hubcap Annies and paid less for 4 blank aftermarket caps than I would have for one cap with a ford logo on it. Other than the missing logo, they were identical. They actually worked better too as they had a metal retaining ring instead of plastic like OEM. I'm not sure about the dodge ones, but something to consider.
  14. No lights with the factory fob on my truck either. I had a remote starter installed and my new fob locks/unlocks and now the lights blink. I think most factory units do flash the lights though, every other vehicle I have owned with key less entry did.
  15. I wanted to turn the power level down because I knew the roads would be sketchy in some spots. Without a connection though, there wasn't much I could do. Is there anyway I can return this thing or do I have to eat it. I'm not sure I would feel that comfortable reselling it. I have a guilty conscience and would not feel right passing along my headache.
  16. Today was the final straw, this thing could've killed me. I went to work this morning and everything worked fine, when I went to leave, it refused to connect again. I tried restarting the truck, the tablet, nothing. Of course I am stuck on the last tune I was using which is the hotter one I had been working on yesterday. The roads were a bit sketchy coming into town, as I'm coming around a long curve, I hit the sweet spot in the tps where it ramps fueling and kicks the rear end out on me. Thankfully no one was around as I used 3 of the 5 lanes to recover. If I can't trust this thing to work all the time, heck even most of the time would be nice, I don't want it on my truck anymore.
  17. This may explain another issue I was having before the reset. I would choose a tune to edit, "Happy" for example but it would bring up a different tune like the tow tune. Every one I clicked on brought up something else. After I reset to defaults, they all went back to pulling up properly. I assume now that's because I was clicking create new tune when I had a created tune already selected so it was basing off that instead of the default tune.
  18. Device is a dedicated tablet. Reinstalled, verified version and connected to truck. I did what you said, app crashed on me once while adjusting tune but restarted and worked for the rest of my drive.
  19. I already did, lol. I did try that download again that's supposed to give me the tuning bar, but my tablet still won't open it.
  20. The default tune worked fine, no process bar that I saw.
  21. I had my brother come over and he brought the right cable and helped me get through nicks tutorial(great job on that by the way ) and we got my tuner flashed with the V2 software. I went to my truck and it connected right up and everything seemed to work. I played with tuning for a bit which only resulted in making my truck run like crap. For this I blame myself, I just can't grasp the timing settings, can't wrap my head around it. I put it on the default tune and did some running around and saw my wife at work for lunch. I decided to try some of the other tunes I had borrowed from the site, but as soon as I turned on the app, it crashed. I restarted it and it refused to connect. I tried about 5 times before I gave up and drove home. This thing has been nothing but a headache since day one. Thinking I will sell it and my comp and get a CTS2 since that will give me the tuning I know I liked and worked and give me the safety features I wanted from the Quad.
  22. It's all good, I'm just using the V1 tuning for now like Nick said and it's working fine that way. I would try the flash myself, but I don't have the right cable(thought I did) and would rather someone more experienced perform it. I have a habit of ruining technology. You know the saying, if it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all.
  23. That kind of makes sense since the Quadzilla website asks which tuning you want and there was no provision for that here. So this is all Mikes fault now? We can still flash it to the V2 though correct? The odd thing though is Quadzillas site says the V2 tuning will be the default if no other tuning is selected.
  24. I guess my box needs flashed, odd they would ship something to me unable to do the one thing I expect it to do. Hopefully Mike can hook me up with a reflash next week and I can finally get something done. On the plus side, my speedometer is dead on once again. Thanks Mike!
  25. I have my laptop. Do I need to bring it?
