  1. I could be wrong, but Ducky's are pretty good injectors. It's the DDP's that are junkers. I'm sure we'll get clarification.
  2. ^^^^ True point. Dad used to lug his 09 figuring it's a diesel, that's what it's for. I mostly agreed until his dual mass grenaded and took the clutch with it at 60k miles. After some research it appears many get rid of the dual mass junk and opt. for a solid flywheel before they have trouble. Other than that it's a pretty good transmission with parts still available.
  3. Sounds like an ancient Chinese proverb, or maybe just common sense.
  4. The odometer no. The trip-meter I'm not sure, but if I had to guess I would also say no as mileage is stored in the cluster.
  5. "Hey Jimmy, I slim jimmed the door and popped the key switch but the damn thing won't start". "Look up under the dash Earl. I read on the internet some guys put a kill switch on these". "There it is Jimmy". See ya later.
  6. Now that the secret is out I guess I'll have to start locking my doors again
  7. There we go. Last sentence on post #11. That's why I didn't go to 320 with my 50's. I trust you
  8. But did you not say that smaller injectors like my 50's should not be popped that high (320 bar)?
  9. I put 50's in mine last month. Was going to have them popped at 320, but then the consensus came around that only bigger injectors should be popped that high so I just had them done to normal spec. On the pack it said AUG. 306, which I assume they were popped in Aug. to 306 bar. I realize everything has a tolerance but hoped mine would be on the high side of it. Screw it, they went in. My load had been 0 and rpm ~860. After the 50's went in I was pleased at the idle coming down to 785 but engine load was ~8-9. 100 miles later and I'm idling at 800 with a load of 4-5. Kinda suprised and dissapointed that they settled in so quickly and so close to the worn out zone. Not sure what to think. The whole injector discussion drives me nuts. . Are you sure about that? That's higher than my worn out ones I replaced. I'm begining to wonder if idle rpm is a good indicator of injector condition.

  11. At the top of the page there is a 'subscriptions' tab. Click that and choose what you want. It's about the cost of a cheap case of beer, and with the time you save working on your truck you'll have more time to drink beer
  12. We've been having a smoke haze from the fires all the way back here the last 2 days. Can't smell it because it's all high level, but amazing how it travels this far. Only upside is the beautiful sunsets.
  13. Welcome
  14. Check Steve White motors in NC. He has an E-Bay store and I've gotten a few Mopar parts from him. Good people and fair prices. LMC truck is usually good for that kind of stuff too.
  15. When I needed new crossover o-rings a few years back I ordered them from Cummins. They were reasonable IIRC. Now if I needed them I'd give DAP a call and see if they sell them separate. It's your call but I would not feel good re-using them.
  16. I just did mine last weekend. I would not re-use the o-rings. Whose injectors? Mine from DAP came with new o-rings for the tubes. If you ordered from them I'd give them a call and let them know. I'm sure they'll send you some.
  17. Might help https://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/emailpage.html?appStr=wccs&titleStr=Contact+Dodge&familyStr=brand&franchise=D&actionURL=%2Fwccs%2Fbrand_forms%2Fus%2Fwebform.jsp&promotion=null&category=U
  18. So you're one of those guys that goes down the road with the wastewater hose open are ya?
  19. I just got my +50's on Saturday. Had them about a week after they got my cores. Hope to get them in this weekend.
  20. In the 2001-2002 section it shows as P/N 56045105AC in figure 8-505. Not sure if they are the same and why nothing shows up in the 99-00 charts

  22. I know little but here's a few thoughts on them. Towards the bottom of the page.
  23. It would be easy to fight the injector harness rebuild since your truck is not a common rail and doesn't have an injector harness. I hate to hear your'e having troubles with ACS. Seemed like a good company until I hear your horror story. Hopefully you get to talk to the owner and he makes things right.
  24. Yep, that's the one I watched this morning.
  25. GAmes over on CF passed 1.4 mil. on his 12 valve recently. Went through 7 or 8 NV4500's if I remember right, but still original engine and Injector pump as far as I know. He hauls pretty heavy from Texas up through to Canada. And he'll be more than happy to tell you he's never used any fuel additives .
