  1. Can I ask what it means when you say you hashed your engine?
  2. The next time I'm out in reading I can swing by and meet you at Walmart or such. Your truck should be mostly fine, I think that its better to save up for a transmission and go from there bud! That looks like a clean truck. And I'm in the process of rebuilding my 99. You came to the right place. There is Lannings Diesel up in Shickshinny PA. They are a Goerend dealer. I don't know much else about them building trucks thought! But If you got that lucky, my advise is to learn and build it yourself. Most of the stuff to do yourself will save you money. The only thing I would really consider farming out would be things like the transmission. They can be really more of an art then a science. I don't know of any places but I need to find the other guy who lives out in Shillington and ask him he may know. I tend to all of my own work. EDIT: @Mopar1973Man do you remember who is out in Shillington He's near me in reading but I can't think of his name at the moment! EDIT 2: I found him @dave110. He may know.
  3. Yep, you pressurize through the radiator cap, I'd pump it up to 18 psi or maybe upwards of 20.. and let it sit overnight. If you loose pressure then assume its leaking. Usually one goes about 5psi over the pressure cap.
  4. I have since replaced my cross over tubes since the old ones were starting to really sit deep into the head. I would use Emory cloth or the finest sand paper you can get your hands on, and take it easy with the sanding, smoothing out a surface is great, but making a high pressure leak is another thing..
  5. What are you running for a programmer
  6. Drilled and slotted are not good for heavy braking, they easily get overwhelmed. I second the exhaust brake go with a pacbrake if you have a stock auto. Their brake controllers are far superior to that of the BD. I should also mention if its an option get the larger compressor and larger tank, so if you need to fill tires up its easier then molassas.
  7. Do this then check the back of the instrument cluster. They was a tsb for one of the plugs.
  8. I went through the same issue even I first had my built auto put in. It was wired wrong and there was a voltage regulator installed into the wiring harness. Well we cut the power supply to the PCM and it would do that if we turned on the heater circuit. In short you need to find what is causing the PCM to shut down. My guess is that there is a wiring mishap here causing it to turn off.
  9. Do you have any programmers on this truck? Have you talked to @Dynamic about this?
  10. @Tractorman happens to be dealing with this right now as well, but his seems to be more specific.
  11. I'd be inclined to agree with this. The cabin I visited last week in PA reminds me of where you live. Life is so much simpler out there.
  12. You have to open it up and look from the inside. I wish Cummins would have marked them, but were not that lucky.
  13. If it helps, I have a 1999 and did have the stepped case in mine. But I did go back and re-torque the case bolts just to be safe. Pull the timing cover off the front of the motor. I pulled the front of the truck apart when i did check mine.
  14. Do they even have libraries out there?
  15. I hear you. I've found online dating to be a brutal game. Its not easy, it seems like you need to red pill them all, and try to keep yourself going by letting them fall first, and you have to keep your guard up. I've found that online dating should really be called friend making. Online dating presents its own issues. I've found that when it comes to online dating that you fall easily into a false sense of chemistry. Unlike a cold approach at a bar, the false sense comes from reading the profiles and looking at the photos. Because there's so much gaming going on most women feel like men are gaming them so they pull back way to soon. The longer the relationship I've had was the one where the woman wanted to start out casual and go from there, and you have to play the gam. But that's not easy to do if one develops feelings first. That's why I don't drive a truck art my job anymore, I let feelings get in the way. If you look at it in the way of friend making your better off. Granted the girl I'm dating now I met through a woman I dated online, who actually referred me. So sometimes your better off just being friends. Although my one friend said that good women are found in the library, not the bar, and certainly not the internet.
  16. I'm really happy with my 100's set to 322BAR. Its about as smoke free as you can get from a Smarty. You should add that in as an option for ordering injectors. The settings haven't changed but the smarty is smoke free.
  17. Come out here Mike, I'll hook you up ?
  18. Mine looks like that still. But I heard that Cummins won't touch it because it's a Dodge project.
  19. This is interesting. Is RAE #3 on this list?
  20. Actually it was presidents day guys. I couldn't even get a hold of state farm bank either for that matter FWIW: I just went through this with a TIPM module, where they wanted both computers to test them, since there has been allot of reports of bad computers on he resale market ie eBAY. Ironically, I have seen a few cases online where people are reselling bad TIPM's and ECM's. The money is made in he shipping and restocking fees ha are made. How long ago was this? This is I think the 4th case of failing ECMs bought online via a part out I've heard in three months.
  21. This is correct. It was back feeding the power needed to run the PCM from blower motor relay. I suspect that the OP is having a ground or a power lead chaffing together somewhere. I would start ohm testing, but I would suspect the headlight switch. Or the wiring that goes to it.
  22. I'm really curious about this too since I've noticed allot of this stuff on Facebook ads lately.
  23. I will be pulling my Injectors around 40,000 miles and I will see. I'm hoping that going from 300 to 280 bar in ~30,000 miles should be around 300 bad when I get that far. Which means I should get almost 50,000 before I hit 280 bar. Smoke free with a smarty is the goal. And it works great. @Dieselfuture and @diesel4life I want to get a hold of you two and @Mopar1973Man about writing an article about pop pressure. So we can get something put together loosely for future use. I'm sure @Marcus2000monster would find it interesting as well.
