Performance Tuners
I hate you! At least my truck isn't rusting out from under me, I don't shovel snow, and I wear a short sleeve shirt with out a jacket year round.

Performance Tuners
I'm running the Edge EZ with a boost elbow and pull an 8,000 lb 5er with a boat behind that at 55+ up the 6% grades on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada a few times a year. What ever you decide on make it so that it is easily removable so you can pass the SMOG test. Having any comp box under the hood is an automatic failure. I'd take the box out and leave the boost elbow on and drive it easy to be tested so as not to set a code for over boost.

Blower Motor
Just solder it back together and it's good as new, all most.

Power steering overflowing
What is the best way to flush this system? Is it take the return hose off at the pump, the steering box, or the hydro-boost?

Friday Funny.
THIS IS A TRUE STORY My friend John lives next to an intersection with a four way stop that people are all ways running. It's gotten so bad that he put in surveillance cameras and on two different occasions videoed cars blowing through the intersection and hitting his cars parked on the two different streets. One driver was drunk and the other fell asleep at the wheel. Last week he was watering his lawn/dirt when a car drives through the intersection without stopping. John yells at the driver,"Nice stop, @$$#*))"! The Driver who happens to be in his 20s, slams on his brakes and asks "What's your problem"?! . John, "There's a school a block and a half from here and I know you live only two blocks from here. It would be nice if you made a full stop and look both ways or you might run a kid over". The Driver, "Well I slowed down". John, "Yah, but you didn't stop". The Driver, "What's the difference"? John, "I'm going to get a bat and when I get back I'm going to beat your @$$. Then you can tell me if you what me to slow down or stop". John thinks the Driver got the point.

replace wheel studs
I've done it with an old socket over the stud and an inverted lug nut, tighten the lug nut till you think the studs going to break and hope the stud shoulder is flush with the hub 'but getting the stud flush with the hub can be a bit of a pain' some of the time. You can use nuts, washers, or a rely short piece of pipe steel if the right socket can't be found.

replace wheel studs
I second that. It's ez to pound them out but getting the stud flush with the hub can be a bit of a pain. I use to have a tool that would let me remove and install studs while the hub was left on the car. One day it grew legs and left. The torque on my 5er's 6 stud wheels is done in 3 stages. #1 20-25 ft/lb #2 55-60 ft/lb #3 85-95 ft/lb I carry a torque wrench with me when I travel. I have found from time to time that the lug nuts have loosened and get re-tightened to 95 ft/lb. The truck is tightened to 130-135 ft/lb.

Mopar Mans Full Eclipse meet and greet in Aug 2017
I'd rather be dead than peddle my @$$ around in a Prius. My wife is talking about going to Glacier National Park. She wants to drive on 'Going-To-The-Sun' road because all she knows right now is 'Going -To-The -Store road but that's another story. We could kill two birds with one trip.

I received a notice from Pay Pal about changes in their agreement and if I didn't close my account by July 1, 2015 I'll have accepted their terms. I don't think I'll miss 'em. As they say, the devil's in the details so go to ''Policy Updates" page and see what flagmanruss is talking about. how hot is too hot for trans temp
That's the pipe that comes out of the trans and go to the heat exchanger under the exhaust manifold by #6 cylinder so you'll see the temp coming out of the trans not the cooler temp of the trans cooler that would dump into the pan. If you grill a steak and burn it, take it off the grill, let it cool down and serve it, IT'S still burnt steak. The same thing with trans fluid. If you cook the fluid, cool it and dump it back into the pan, IT'S still burnt fluid. You just don't know how burnt it is.

Tow Mirrors
I've been using these for the past 11years. They work all right but the right side is a pain to adjust if no one is in the passenger seat to help. I know there are better out there and I've seen 03 power tow mirrors modified to fit 2ed gens. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/cipa-slip-on-tow-mirrors-2009-12-dodge-ram-1500-2500/74638

how hot is too hot for trans temp
Put temp sender here 1. install sender unit into T fitting. 2. cut pipe. I used a small tube cutter. 3. take the pipe off the heat exchanger and cut off about 3/8" from it. use a hack saw for that. 4. slide compression fittings on both pipes. 5. install T fitting with sender unit on to the pipes and hand tighten the fittings. 6. reinstall pipe on to heat exchanger. 7. orientate the sender unit. 8. be sure the pipes are pushed in to the T fitting, then tighten the compression fittings.

The Uninvited Bees
I made a small box to go over the opening the bees are using to go in and out of. I made a box for the bees to move into and attached a hose between them. The bees wouldn't go down the hose so I took it down told my son to think of something else and went to Yellowstone. Got back and the bees still here. Son told me he was to busy with work and women to think of something. I've drilled a hole in the top of the small box and attached a cone, made of window screening, to it. I'm going to put that on the roof with the big box above it, that will be done in the next day or two. I called a friend of mine who live where the Avocado groves are and asked if he knew any bee keeper up there. He said that the keepers won't take a colony because the bees are not tame. He had to kill a colony that got in to his decking.

Help please, pinhole in raidiator.
I checked with the wholesaler this morning. He had a "Pacific Best" or a "Cryomax", ether one for $197. I've used the Cryomax and have had good luck. The wholesaler told me they have a life time warranty with only a 1% return rate. There are a few other brands that have a radiator for the 04 L5.9: Spectra Premium, Valeo, and Vista Pro to name a few. What ever you get flush the system and replace your coolant with fresh anti-freeze and distilled water. You normally get what you pay for, if its to good to be true its not, learn from other people's experience.

Help please, pinhole in raidiator.
I've replaced a lot of radiators over the years in my repair business and found that the OME last the longest. Most of the after market radiators are made in Taiwan, Red China, or Indonesia. Some are better than others but last any where from 2-6 years. Remember the cheap ones are what a used car dealer would use to keep the cost down and get the car off the lot. I've found that even the better ones can be a crap shoot and only last a few years. I can call my wholesaler tomorrow and see what he says with the prices. I need to know what your driving.
