  1. "Could it be my 3 day old EZ causing this? I don't know how long these codes were present." I've been running my EZ for 10years now with now problems.
  2. That car is booking for about $23,000 so the damage had to be about that much or some type of damage that can not be repaired to industry standers IE: frame bent. Most after market or non factory warranties aren't worth the powder to blow them to hell.
  3. When I installed my Fuel Boss I didn't have any of those problems except for the hobbs cycling the Airtex lift pump. I too have been running with the Airtex unplugged and a lift pump code with no dash light.
  4. Anything you do to a vehicle or trailer, from changing oil to a brake job to an engine overhaul, the responsibility falls on us. Years ago I did a wheel bearing repack. A few weeks later the customer runs the car into the center divider during a rain storm. She said the steering wheel jerked out of her hands and it must have been the wheel bearing were done wrong. A third party inspected the bearings and found nothing wrong but there you go, she was trying to make me responsible for her bad driving. A lot of the things we do to our trucks are upgrades. Are they random? A person sees a situation an says ' I think I can do it better than what I've got here now. He try's out the "upgrade" and it either works better or it's a flop. This is how we learn: IE putting Chevy rear brake wheel cylinders in 2000 Dodge ¾ ton pick-up.
  5. That wouldn't be a bad idea. Cut a hole in the side for the cord to run out and seal it with clear RTV. Use Velcro to hold the EZ in the box and then again to hold the box to the top of the relay box. I have my EZ just velcroed to the top of the relay box. I think I've only driven the truck in the rain 3 or 4 times that I can think of so water getting in it is not a big concern for me.
  6. I haven't replaced them yet. They have a slight haze on them now and I'll give them a clean and seal to see how that goes. The truck is a driveway Queen and faces north all the time so the UV damage hasn't been to bad on them.
  7. I bought a dash cam at the Gun Show of the West in Del Mar, CA. It cost $100 cash and came with a 32 Gig memory card. I have it set to turn on when the engine starts and shut down when the key's turned off. It works good and no question of he said she said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn34ZcEd418&feature=youtu.be Yes, I did stop and offer assistance.
  8. But which manufacture at Rockauto. I've used Dorman parts before, replaced all the window regulators in a 2002 Chevy Tahoe. They looked nice fit nice and worked right the first time. I don't know about the TYC or Various Mfg brands. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1361999,parttype,10762
  9. My Edge® EZ came with a boost elbow and does boost fooling. The boost elbow gives me 26psi of pressure and no check engine light or reduction of fuel.
  10. Those are some great numbers!
  11. That's a very good price. I've a quote for an EZ from Off Road Warehouse dated 4/28/05, $460.99 with a notation of price reduced to $435 if I buy a bunch of other stuff to the tune of $1099.75. In my notes I see an Edge® Comp for $547.
  12. Try a good putty knife; flat, wide and 9 times out of 10 won't gouge the case or bend the cover.
  13. White lithium will not run into some spots or down cables and in to cracks like oil will.
  14. Get a spray can of Liquid Wrench® lubricating oil. I've found that it works good and is covenant to use. Wal-Mart sells it. WD-40 evaporates after a few days and it's back to the same problem. One of my customers worked at the WD-40 plant here in San Diego. He said that it was basically cut kerosine.
  15. Four guys are out in the community park plying with their dogs. As men will do, they start to brag about how smart their dogs are. The first guy, who is an architectural engineer says to the others "you've got to see what my dog can do." He calls to his dog "Slide Rule, do your' thing. With that Slide Rule runs home and comes back with a marker pen and a poster board. He puts the poster board down and with the marker pen in his mouth he draws a perfect circle, triangle, and square. The next man, who is an accountant, says "pretty good but watch this" and calls to his dog "Spread Sheet, do your' thing" The dog runs home and a few minutes later comes back with a bag of cookies. Spread Sheet takes 12 cookies out of the bag and places 4 cookies each inside the circle, triangle, and square on the poster board. The third man, who is a chemist, says "not bad but you've got to see what my dog does. Beaker show use what you've got." The dog take off for home and comes back pulling a wagon. In the wagon is a quart of milk and three 12 oz glass tumblers. Beaker put each tumbler next to a stack of cookies on the poster board and fills each tumbler to 8oz exactly. The last dog owner, who works for the State Department of Motor Vehicles, looks at his dog and, while sadly shaking his head, says "Coffey Break, do your thing." Coffey Break slowly gets up and waddles over to the poster board. He proceeds to eat all 12 cookies, drinks all the milk, and relieves himself on the poster board. He then gets into a fight with the other dogs, hurts his back, files a clam with state workers comp and a grievance with the Union for unsafe working conditions. He waddles home and takes the rest of the day off.
  16. I'm using 2cycle oil and have an Edge EZ set on 2. Last time the truck was tested the shop owner said that he saw smoke during the snap test. I couldn't see it. He pass me any way. Maybe it's because I've known him for over 15 yrs and I send him a lot of business.
  17. You have to be a smart shopper and wait for those coupon specials.
  18. That's if you go to Home Alone Depot for it.
  19. O ya, I saw them in Harbor Freight had them on special with a 20% off coupon. Buck and a quarter out the door.
  20. My steering and suspension is bone stock with 265 tires and like Mike's ride I don't have any of the problems you all have. Do you go off road a lot or just bad roads or is it bad replacement parts.
  21. That leak looks like the valve cover gasket. You can see the oil staining on top of the exhaust port and draining down to the head/block mating area. Take the oil cooler over to a radiator and see if they can pressure test it for leaks. I'd hold of pulling the head until I knew if the oil cooler was good or bad.
  22. Disconnect orange/black wire pin #37 from ECU, Does light go out? If yes, bad ECU. If no, Ohm test that orange/black wire that runs from pin #8@ the instrument cluster to pin #37 @ the ECM and see if it's grounded. If yes, repair wire. If no, problem in instrument cluster circuit board.
  23. Here's the Fuel Boss installation Instructions. http://www.glacierdieselpower.com/images/PDFs/98.5-02-Fuel-Boss-Install-Manual.pdf
  24. When you have a question such as axle size or type call the dealer's service department and give them the Vin#. They can look it up and tell all the equipment and options that was installed.
  25. Did a Google search http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/cargo-craft-inc-ambrose-georgia-c86442.html
