  1. Life must be pretty dull in your neighborhood if a Fed Ex truck driving through causes "Great excitement".
  2. @Haggarand @wil440 have more knowledge about it then me and will be along to help but here are a couple of links that might help in the meantime. https://my.cardone.com/techdocs/PT 52-0001.pdf https://www.underhoodservice.com/operation-diagnosis-and-repair-of-hydro-boost-power-assist-systems/
  3. Do a voltage drop test on the cables before replacing them. This will tell you if it is bad cables or starter problem.
  4. 3-4 shift and torque convertor lock up are controlled by the PCM. Check the throttle cable valve adjustment. It could cause all those problems.
  5. So you have new batteries? Check the wire grounds under the driver's side battery. You might have to pull the battery and battery tray to get to them.
  6. When you have the pan off disconnect all the solenoids and transducer, turn key on. If the fuse blows before any component is plugged in then there is a wire shorted to ground. Now plug the old components back in one at a time and be sure their bodies are grounded. When the fuse blows you'll know which component is bad. Power to pin 30 of the transmission control relay comes from fuse I (20 amp) in the PDC.
  7. This might explain it. https://mopar1973man.com/topic/14708-iquad-boost-readings-lower-than-boost-gauge/ https://mopar1973man.com/topic/16186-quadzilla-v2-reading-inconsistent-boost-under-load-on-1999-24v/
  8. Two week ago I was towing my 5er with the boat behind, it about 16k LB. Got caught in stop and go traffic for 3 hours north bound I-15 going up the Cajon pass. Tranny temp, post converter, climbed to 250°F and stayed there. Wish I had and extra trans cooler then.
  9. Here are a couple of members that have installed a Derale cooler https://mopar1973man.com/topic/14095-derale-aux-trans-cooler/ https://mopar1973man.com/topic/17573-derale-trans-cooler-install-and-test/
  10. I started loosing fuel pressure at idle over a couple of years 17PSI and now down to 8 PSI. 18-19 PSI at 2000 RPM and drops to 16 PSI under load. I checked the "fuel pressure regulator" saw no problem; I've blown out the fuel lines with compressed air then tried clamping off the fuel return lines with no increase in pressure.
  11. Derale is another high quality manufacture of fluid coolers. https://derale.com/ If you get a cooler w/fan be sure to have a fan controller or thermostatic on/off switch.
  12. ssion coolerThat's a lot of money for "supposedly better cooling capabilities". When driving down the road The torque converter is locked up, generating little heat and good air flow over the cooler. Most heat increase occurs when accelerating, backing up, or in stop and go traffic especially when towing. During these conditions there is little to no air flow over the transmission cooler so an increase in size and volume would provide a marginal decrease in transmission temperature as opposed to a cooler with a fan. https://www.mishimoto.com/heavy-duty-transmission-cooler-kit-electric-fan.html
  13. Is your oem cooler going bad or do you just need extra cooling capacity? If it's extra cooling you need get an extra trans cooler with a fan.
  14. Good luck for your new job! Enjoy success with this new venture.
  15. How much would a dash from LMC Truck cost? http://www.lmctruck.com
  16. Yes, Bed is just pressed sheet metal with no strength for towing.
  17. $400 sounds good to me. When i was looking to repair/replace my bed a repurposing facility (wrecking yard) had one for $800 installed. It had a BIG dent in the panel that is behind the cab and pealing paint.
  18. Here is the fix for that ground splice at the PCM. PCM Ground Splice Repair - Electrical - Mopar1973Man's Dodge Cummins Forum https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/electrical/pcm-ground-splice-repair-r675/
  19. Don't forget the blinker fluid.
  20. Here is an article @Tractorman did on making the BHAF a little bit quieter. https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/air-exhaust_56/bhaf-muffler-uhh-r612/
  21. Yes! Timbo APPS sold in the site store but out of stock right now. Mike is working to get more. https://mopar1973man.com/store/product/62-timbo-apps/
  22. I have a HX35 turbo and an 800 RPM stall convertor with no problems backing an 8K 5th wheel up a steep driveway into my backyard. The rear transmission band may be slipping. Put the transmission in manual 1st and accelerate checking for slippage. Only reverse and manual 1st use this band.
