Hello Everybody!
Welcome to the forum. I need to fix my drivers seat heater also. It just started flashing the little light at the switch and does not work now.

Let's talk about shocks.
I have the KYBMono Max on my truck that hauls the camper. They helped with reducing sway and are soft only when the truck is loaded with the slide in camper. My other truck got the KYB standard factory replacement. No upgrade, just OEM grade basically. They ride very nice for the two years now. Nice break from spending money on the expensive shocks.

Trouble Starting Engine - HELP
Look down in the bottom of the factory filter for crud, I tape a length of small diameter flexible hose to the shop vac will let you clean down in there. Does your truck have a larger primary filter before the lift pump? Looks to me somebody used a first gen module on your truck. They rot so bad and can send rust chips into the fuel system.

Big change in my life...
Not to stir the pot here, but.... you got 4 days off a week Mike. When I was 64 I was driving 15 and working 40 hrs a week. By Friday I felt like crawling into a coffin not bed. By Monday I was okay, not perfect, but okay to do it again. You have a great place there allowing you to feel better about life. I wouldn't move.... no way, but I would hang out a shingle for some hours of shop time each week. Even 4 hr days could net you enough to whittle down the medical.

Trouble Starting Engine - HELP
I'm also surprised to see that because it is the same as my old 92 CTD. The metal rotted with metal rust pieces clogging the fuel filter and even got some inside the VE injection pump. At the time mine rotted enough to break away inside the tank and leave me stranded, I had to do a quick repair after getting it home. I found that a 4'' ABS straight coupling fit perfectly. Adapting it to hold the bottom and the top back together was a feat, but by 2am I was back up and running. I don't recommend doing this. It's very tough to get it the right length and adapt the screws to hold. Your picture reminds me of why I cut out those screens on the bottom. Also Removing them from both my second gens by adding a filter before the lift pump on each truck.

You have a tuner... NO WARRANTY.
I think the warranty issue is the same for both CR and VP trucks, but CR engines are more prone to damage. It kinda like being a cannibul... the engine eats itself up and the same reason you don't eat chicken, right Dripley?

Big change in my life...
Mike, remember you need to enjoy more real fun activity exercise with rest and sleep when your body tells you. Even if it work on truck time, just stop go in and take a nap, let it all go and finish it later when your body tells you. Even if a guest is there... just tell them its nap time.. They can go hiking up the mountain behind your place. Try letting go each day.... developing this habit of not being bolted down to everything so tight. Remember part of the joy of Heaven is the fact there is no time, no associated stress... in which God wants us to stop the clocks, realize what He has given and will always be there for us. We all need to absorb more and more our capacity for beauty and amazement. A habit that can become a daily focus becomes part of us..... far more important than the artificial garbage taking over these days I love you Man.... my skills for friendship aren't very good. I'm working on that.

Cummins vs Powerstroke Diesels
I'm in total agreement with you. It makes me feel better just collecting large old wagon wheels. Love the looks of the old west. If I got a new electric truck I'd have to have a recording of the Cummins for the in cab sound.. Might let me at least try driving the thing.

Cummins vs Powerstroke Diesels
Those new electronic smart meters used by the power companies release enough electromagnetism to cause problems too. A newly built public school had all their meters located on one wall near a classroom caused one teacher to die within a couple years from tumors and the new teacher got sick along with the ones in the two adjacent classrooms. The amount of electromagnetism from radios and cell towers is causing bees to get confused about their food locations and the right time of year to venture out. Do a search on bee populations and electromagnetism.... you will be amazed on the studies and findings.

Cummins vs Powerstroke Diesels
My like for Cummins came from an excavation contractor that I became friends with. He had several old backhoes with the Cummins 5.9 12 valves. He and most of his employees, including his full time mechanic would be talking almost every day about the dodge trucks coming out with the Cummins in them. When they became available it seemed like everyone in our small rural area was buying one. It took me several years to be able to even think about spending the kind of money it took. Finally after several years of hearing all the talk about them....... I'll never forget the smile on my face....... I bought my first gen 92 Cummins 5 speed back in 96. That dog gone thing.....was so good on fuel it almost made my truck payment in fuel savings alone. It was cool to own something so great and have others offering money for it on almost every job I went to. I drove and worked that truck everyday for almost 22 years. It was a great truck the whole 400 k miles or so I put on it.

You guys are funny. Thanks. The goats really are the way to go. Even munch up old truck tires if I heard that right . I'm really into western style and would like to get the Henry 45 rifle. My 22 golden boy is smooth.

New Battery Cable Terminals Going In
Don't mean to start trouble, but I wonder if synthetic oil would have the same great results?
-
New Battery Cable Terminals Going In
Yes I've been using oil for a few years after Mopar1973Man advised it awhile back. It works great. I used to get very fast white growth type corrosion even after cleaning all major terminals, grounds, but the oil stopped all that.

New Battery Cable Terminals Going In
Where do you get those military style battery clamps or terminals? Oreillys doesn't even know what they are when I asked.

P0230 after new FASS
My sister did this same kind of thing ,different aspect/ subject though, at a good company to work for and she got fired. She still acts like she knows everything unfortunately. Thanks for IBMobile for turning a mix up into clear and simple. BTW, both my seconds are wired like IBMobile way.

Question
Do the seals you need for banjo and return tee come in a package from Cummins or do you guys take the seals with you and say, 'please sell me these o rings and this size sealing washer'? It sounds like it is 3 parts or pieces. Obviously never done this to either of my seconds, but getting very close on the 200k miler. Thinking of laying an old mattress or something over everything to make it a painless job while laying there. Not sure.

Limited Pedal, VP problem?
Thank you guys. It so good to have my life back and now to be back here Dripley you got standing invite to have coffee and dognuts with me and IBMobile up at our camp.
