  1. Smaller higher revving diesels..........like in Europe..............often require a higher cetane level. About the only time I can see this additive being beneficial is in really cold weather.................higher cetane fuel ignites quicker/faster.
  2. Just looked; my '04.5 doesn't have a marked LP relay under the fuse box/relay cover. Got a relay under there that says "transmission" relay though.................but on a 6 speed manual??!! Could that one be it??? Position 59 IIRC.
  3. Mike likes cleaning his chimneys!!!
  4. Do a search here on the subject............................ Don't know if the "change over" has saved the older posts...................... I burn real clean.............................................
  5. It's been really, really mild here so far this fall. Temps in the 50-60's durning the day............dry...........sunny.................windy!!! I've only lit the wood stove twice so far....................and only to really take the dampness out of the house.

  7. John, I don't believe that's true for the '03-'04.5's that have the FF canister mounted fuel pumps. My FSM for '04 says the same........................there is no relay controlling the lift pump. The "feed" wire for the OEM fuel pump on my '04.5 traces right back into a huge wire harness that get traced right back to the ECM on the side of the block. Unless they've hidden one inside the harness, your info in not correct.............................as far as my understanding of what a relay is..............
  8. How you liking the Lt255/80 17E Cooper ST MAXX's so far??
  9. Charge you batteries, or replace them.
  10. These are the tires I'm considering for the future. The larger diameter will make 5th gear much more useable around the suburbs. Those are the LT255/80 17E's correct???
  11. Codes???? Miles on truck????? Any modifications?????
  12. A chip from the factory......................EPA sucks.
  13. Be careful off roading!!!
  14. Good to know!!!
  15. One day of driving now......................not that the steering was bad....................way better now...............................she tracks now, vs. constant correction in turns!!
  16. Musta been from the "brewskis"......................and you were still probably drunk!!!!
  17. So "Idaho Potato".................is an "oxymoron"??!!!
  18. Track bar is easy to replace compared to this bad boy.................
  19. I've noticed that also on old jugs of unopened dino oil. Hopefully my MotorGuard TP bypass will filter it all out!!!
  20. Just got done with this chore about an hour ago. Discovered the OEM was shot yesterday. Had some time yesterday; so I asked the neighbor to come over and lend a hand so I could check ball joints and tie rod ends etc. Jack one side up with the floor jack, neighbor on the 4 ft. bar under the wheel drivers side lifting and releasing..................essentially no movement I could see or feel. Then on the same side, neighbor grabs wheel and 3 and 9 o'clock and tries turning wheel back and forth. No movement at tie rod end, but the the drag link end had 5/16" at least of movement, and the rubber boot was split. We did the same on the other side, and the results were the same...............ball joints and tie rods seem good. Got a new drag link bar today from AutoZone.............Just under $90 out the door. Not a hard job, but this thing weighs almost 20lbs. and trying to maneuver that thing while laying down under the truck is a chore when you're not so young any longer!!! Here's a few pix of the OEM one and the apparent problem!!! New one looked almost like a twin minus the dirt, grease and rust. It's so stupid that you cannot just replace the "ball joint" at the end. That just makes TOO much sense I guess!!!
  21. I feel really bad for all these potential "oil filters" not fulfilling their life.
  22. Idiot gauge just like the 2nd gens.
