Dog Pix
Here's a few more pix, taken by one of my hunting buddies, from that Mississippi River duck hunt. Yeah, we're ugly, so we wear face masks!!!

Tim the TOOL Man Taylor
Have you considered a "courtesy flush" or a "double flush"??? They're the same thing with different wording!! Without being to graphic: when you're done doing number 2, flush the toilet. Then wipe your behind like normal and flush the toilet again. That avoids the depth charges/mud slides/Obamas trying to get through the pipes with only 1.5 gallons of water for help!!!

Injector MPG Question
I also read on most of the forums that a SLIGHT INCREASE over stock in injector size will net better mileage. I'm talking something like DDP 50hp injectors and F1 40hp injectors. That is assuming all else stays the same......including driving style. JFYI, my last tank got me 19.7mpg hand calculated. Not bad for mid-November and winter fuel!!!

Dog Pix
Went out duck hunting on the Mississippi River near Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin this past Friday. The hunting was poor at best............high blue skies and not enough wind to make a difference. However, I did snap a few good pix of Spud in the boat blind..........a great Lab profile IMHO!!!

Shootings, publicity stunts, kidnappings you name it
In my part of the USA, I've been hearing on the radio, advertisements to buy "Gold" as an investment against "The Ones" fiscal policy of printing money like it's going out of style. Not me........I'm buying "Lead"!!! No kidding either. IMHO, there's a revolution brewing in this country, and I'm not gonna be caught unprepared........whether it be some lunatic, crazy psycho; or jackbooted thug from the government.

Rotella Stinks?
You've just found out why Rotella is also known as "Rosmella"!!!!!! :smart Many people gripe about the odor of this oil. It lessens over time.

Pure Flow Raptor problems
Where do you have the "draw straw" located??? If it's up a bit off the bottom of the tank, and you don't have a lot of fuel in the tank, you can starve the pump........aka "suck air".

Hmm, well I tried..
It's a marathon, not a sprint!!!

It's Official!!
Yup, I use the WallyWorld SuperTech 15W40 dino oil. I can't see spending more for oil that IMHO won't give me any more benefits/protection than what I get with the SuperTech. It's approved by Cummins too!! My last analysis from Blackstone (10,000 miles ago) came back fine. Nothing is building up as far as contaminants go and the TBN has stayed about the same the last few analysis. The oil is black though.......but the solids/soot in the oil is well below what Blackstone considers nornal!!! :thumbsup I like tinkering with the TP bypass. It freaks people out when they see my change it for the first time. I plan on another analysis in about another 10,000 miles or about 120,000 on the clock. Wish me luck!!! B)

It's Official!!
Oil usually doesn't "wear out" unless it gets overheated or the additives shear or breakdown. It only get contaminated/dirty. That's why our TP is there!!!! :smart Thankfully, our Cummins are easy on oil......unlike the older Powersmokes with the HEUI injectors in them. Those engines could breakdown oil in no time.

It's Official!!
I just turned 110,000 on the clock today. That makes; by my math, 70,000 miles without a complete oil change!!!! I installed it at 40,000 on the clock. :thumbsup :thumbsup I love my MotorGuard TP bypass!!!

Fuel Pressure Gauge Keeps Going Crazy
Make sure you put a good quality needle valve in there. Lots of pressure spikes with the VP44. Might want to keep a spare. :smart

Amsoil? No Change synthetics?
From what I understand, the MotorGuard is no longer available. The MotorGuard was originally designed to filter water out of compressed air for certain industrial applications. Ralph Wood converted them to filter oil in a bypass design. The company that manufactures the basic MotorGuard unit does not want "their" name associated with a "bypass oil" filter. This is even though Ralph Wood was giving them free publicity and advertizing!!!!! I believe at one point Ralph was selling more MotorGuards as oil bypass's than "MotorGuard" was selling them as water removers!!!!! Crazy!!!! :smart I would highly recommend that you get a Frantz bypass seeing that the MotorGuard is hard to find unless you buy one used.

Amsoil? No Change synthetics?
I use Scott 1000 all the time in my MotorGuard. It's the tightly wound single ply that most TP bypass guys use. If you have access to janitorial supplies you can possibly get your hands on "Kimberly Clark" brand of single ply TP. That's what Ralph Wood used to use in all his MotorGuard applications. Ralph is the founder/starter of the MotorGuard TP bypass filter.

Amsoil? No Change synthetics?
I've not "changed" my oil in almost 68,000 miles now. I run a MotorGuard TP bypass (sub-micronic filtration) and a Fleetguard Stratopore filter. I change out the TP at 1500-2000 mile intervals and add about 1 quart of "make up" oil. I change the stratopore filter yearly. I run WallyWorld SuperTech 15W40 dino oil also. My last oil analysis came back stellar according to Blackstone.

Tire Sizes
I'd say go with the LT235 85/16E's........they're rated for the same weight carrying as the others. I really don't think you'll notice much, if any, difference in ride or handling. All that said, I wish there was a tall, narrow tire available in 17" for my 3rd gen. I like the "pizza cutter" look versus the "wide tire out past the fender look"!!!! The narrow tires are better in snow and mud also!!
