  1. I've been somewhat laid up at home. Been dealing with a torn meniscus since before Thanksgiving. Had arthiscopic surgery on the 20th. All went well, knee feels much better but still not completely stable. Still swollen but I'll get there. Been watching some stuff online from alternative news sources on the recent developments in our country. It's very scary. I fear for alot if things. I've noticed since biden took office diesel around here has jumped $.30 already. Once he jacks the minimum wage up to $15/hour many restaurants and other business based on min. wage labor will surely fail. Then up goes unemployment again. He has shut down the pipeline project and put several thousand people out if work already. These are very uneasy times and I fear what will happen next.
  2. I recently checked at a local dealer, gave them the TSB number. She looked it up and consulted with the manager. They said they will charge 1/2 hour labor which is $60 to do it. Didn't mean they know what they're doing though. I'd like to get it done before next winter. Probably when the temps start to drop.
  3. Grid heater switch? Hmmm Explain?
  4. I believe when I put mine in I'll possibly put a small zip tie on it to prevent it from falling out. Also check for a snug fit when I install as well. Thanks for sharing your experience.
  5. So the fuse vibrated out of the holder and caused all these issues? Something so simple. I have yet to put the PCM fuse inline on my truck. Would one with the cover offer a better grip or at least help to hold the fuse in its place? Glad you got it sorted, was the first alternator actually bad (tested?) Or just replaced?
  6. I've been pondering this one since you posted and I'm at a loss myself. Wish I could be of some help but you've done what I would have done so far. Try cussing at it maybe?
  7. I see a new app coming soon. "Where's Mopar1973man" will be the new where's waldo
  8. Just got back from the dealer with my dad. They'll have his truck overnight. 3.6L v-6 with 53k on it needs all new rockers. The bearings in the rollers are the problem. Anyway, I checked with service on the high idle tsb. They'll charge me 1/2 hour to do it so about $60
  9. Might sound stupid for a sec but the H1 wheels bolt on to dodge axles? Or were those modified already?
  10. I don't have an exhaust brake to help with warm up. Someday maybe but right now she's pretty much stock. I may end up at a dealer today with my dad to pick up his truck from some warranty work. I might inquire on the price for the programming while there.
  11. Thanks, I tried some gunk engine cleaner I had on the shelf. It didn't do much of anything. That stuff never really has worked well for me. Not even sure where that can came from.
  12. Anyone have a favorite degreaser to cut through the oil. My engine isn't bad but I would like to degrease it to detect leaks. I have one oil leak now around the oil cooler where the oil filter spins on. Had a couple loose bolts. Not to mention the oil on the radiator. I haven't done the crank case vent mod yet.
  13. I do the same. I still grin every time I look at the truck. I was envious of other people when I saw them on the road now I have one. I've been extremely happy with it his far. I even glance out the window to look at it in the driveway sometimes. Stupid but I love that truck.
  14. To add to @Mopar1973Man's post, if the OP were to switch over to all LED lighting it would free up amps to help run the winch. That way the load of the big alternator isn't a constant mechanical load on the engine. If one used the winch frequently yes then a bigger alternator would be the ticket but for a few times a year it may be a wiser choice to reduce load in other places to free up some amperage to operate the winch plus enjoy the brighter output of the LED lighting and the safety factor it also adds as well.
  15. That's awesome!
  16. Is there a list of some sort that explains where all the trucks grounds are located? To have this as a tool to ensure all grounds are clean and bright with a coat of oil on them would be helpful.
  17. Everyone I've had contact with or a conversation with I should say, have been decent. We may not see things the exact same way but we can discuss them rationally and not argue about it. I would be a very scary day for government if the people would actually come together on a united front. Even with different vies we could still get things done and eliminate the shady agendas behind the people in power.
  18. Yeah, I mixed a little diesel with it to get it to spray a little better. Turned out pretty good. Kinda of keeping an eye on it now to see how long it lasts. So far so good. Been through rain a couple times with it and the water just beads up.
  19. Ok, now it's getting rediculous. The democrats are moving to impeach president trump when he will be out of the office in 9 days anyway. Why do they continue to waste time and our tax dollars on something that will be over in 9 days anyway. I'm not a biden fan and I guess it doesn't matter what party you back. To me this seems like a huge waste if time and money. Our money, not theirs. This government is really letting me down as a citizen, voter and tax payer. I've had enough of the stupidness going on in washington. I can just imagine how we look on tv to the rest of the world. I am embarrassed by our government at this point. I love my country but the leadership has gone arie. I fear for our future and my grandchild's futures. It's scary. I can't express how irritated I am without severe censorship so I'll leave it at this for now. GRRRRRRR P.S. sorry, didn't mean to hijack. Probably should have started another thread.
  20. I even use extra butter so I slides down, less chewing. Who wants to do all that work? Lmao
  21. To late High gas/fuel prices I'm sure are just over the horizon. Also, I don't know how much truth there is to it but I've heard rumors if farmers and others in the Midwest selling their land to china! I hope that was a BS story.
  22. This may be a shot in the dark but, try checking the frame in Front near all attaching/mounting points such as suspension, steering and so on. A friend of mine had frame flex in front causing it to handle funny. He installed some sort of brace in the front and it fixed it. Not sure what or where it was though.
  23. Yeah, ouch! I take it those are before and after? If so it looks like the repairs were done well. Looks good.
  24. Absolutely! I would buy 2 or 3 and keep at least one in storage with no miles. I would have a brand new one today then!
