  1. have you guys not heard of www.hulu.com ? it is a free website that was created by (i believe) nbc and fox, but there are shows from all kinds of channels. they have the first 5 episodes from the third season of bullrun. and the best part is commercials are at a minimum compared to television.
  2. whoa! i didn't know someone made those! but the idea is the same as i mentioned.
  3. :banghead: hang in there...i have been putting my dieing VP44 off...do you know what they said the prior(s) VP's died of?
  4. please follow up and let us know what you find out...i'm extremely interested in this topic!
  5. if its not torqued to much...i've used a phillips bit (the kind you chuck into a drill) and some pliers to turn screws not accessible.could you post a picture?
  6. glad to hear you got your truck running good.:thumbup2:besides the front end racket...does she drive any different? what is the cp3 timing thing? i thought the injectors opened by a signal from the ecu, and therefor the ecu handled timing. i don't know a whole lot about 3rd gens so i'm interested in learning.
  7. thats cool...i understand being without work....waiting for more contracts!:pray:did you figure out your trucks problems?
  8. i've heard kerosene....as far as gasoline....i would worry about its lube properties and what it does to my VP44
  9. i have a BHAF on my 99 24valve...turbo intake is way cleaner than it was with those crappy drop-ins.....in my box, one corner always pulled from edge allowing dirty air right by!
  10. i use fleetguard FF5613 on my AD150
  11. sweeet! i hope she is a screaming beast. let us know how see is running.did you have to swap the whole case, or just the covers?
  12. looks like you had a blast
  13. out of the 2001 FSMgear housing to block 24 N·m (18 ft. lbs.) torque.the front cover is 24 N·m (18 ft. lbs.) torque.and they officially want you to use Mopart Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealantgood luck
  14. i believe its high torque/high heat silicone. its not rated quite has high as the red stuff but is nearly as high (i think 600F and red was 650f?). that is what my ford's gearbox used
  15. not trying to poke fun:poke:...but how did that clutch look. it appears that when you get her running right, you will have enough torque to slip a new stock clutch
  16. i would like to see what it looks like on your dipstick or in a container. could you take a photo?
  17. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-powertrain/8684-how-much-blowby.html or the same thing without everyone's posts http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_is_excessive_blow_by_in_a_5.9L_cummins and here it says these # are at 100% load. i don't know how to achieve that without a dyno but: http://www.4btswaps.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-9298.html and this guy says if the #'s are bad, do a leak down test before rushing into a rebuild: http://dieselenginetrader.com/diesel_talk/messageview.cfm?catid=8&threadid=3679 ---------- Post added at 02:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:41 PM ---------- another gentleman said it best. "Generally speaking, the rings on a Cummins will outlast the Dodge." "It is much more common to have a head gasket start to leak, or to have some cracking happen on the exhaust valves. Either problem can reduce compression, and affect performance." also a vacuum leak can cause excess blow by
  18. does that mean good for continued use?
  19. i hope your install goes smooth. if you get a chance, snap some pics.
  20. mine didn't have a valve there. i know it doesn't now cause of the big line kit. have the lines and bangos in the garage. it is just a 17mm flat top bango
  21. post the cam card(ie the duration and lift)
  22. well the pick a part here(and the only one with ~100miles) has tons of wheels...that what they use to hold all the husks up off the ground. the problem is you can't call and ask if they have something...you have to pay $2 to go in and look. if they have it, you go get your tools out of the truck and save some money. nearly everything is >10 yrs in there, otherwise its picked clean. if you would like i can go snap some pics. i need to find a distributor for a 93 accord(the kind with the external coil) anyway.
  23. one side of my ranger's dash is out(just the light). when i drive at night i often have to find the flashlight to check the fuel level. but i'm not pulling the dash for a bulb...at least not yet
