Was looking through Fuel pump options and came across this place. industrialinjection.com They rebuild fuel injection pumps for diesel engines and tout their abilities, as do all companies, however, may be something to it... http://www.industrialinjection.com/shop/category/pumps/dodge-injection-pumps/ Curious if anyone knows of these guys or not, interested about experiences.

Just thought I would let yall know that I installed a FTE resonator RM4430A on my 2001 3500 with 4" straight thru with 5"elbow to 8" miter cut stack and it is well worth the money!!!! I honestly thought I liked the sound without it, but traveling over 100 miles a day towing our company trailer the dreaded drone got to me. I can finally talk, hear the radio(without turning it way up!), and hear myself think!...lol By the way I am no sales person for them, but had to give them credit where credit is due.:thumbup2: __________________ 2001 Dodge duallie 24 valve with 110 injectors, tst power max/stacked smarty, 3 piece header, HX35, Banks high rise intake,AirDog 165, ope…

Howdy folks, Been working to much to be around here lately. Still working to much, but thats better than not working at all.

I am having a slow start problem. The starter is turning the motor to slow like my battries are weak. I cheked the batteries this morning before starting and they read 12.5v before starting and after sitting all night. When I hit the switch it turned slowly and the voltage dropped to near 10.5. Thge engine started after a couple of seconds. It seems to start alittle slower thru the day. Iam getting worried one time it is not going to start.

The alternator is putting out 14v while running. When I first get in an…

Not sure where this post is supposed to go, but I can't seem to get a transmission temp reading from my quad. It only says 100°. I have attached a photo of how I have it installed. Wafer, ring terminal, washer, lock washer, and nut right? I don't think u can really mess it up but what am I missing? I need a new wafer now because I broke mine... Any help is appreciated.

Anyone running these guages? A buddy of mine just boughta 01 Cummins and hadn't a clue about the VP issues, I told him to get a guage on soon as he could. He sent me a link to these asking an opinion. I was wondering if a three set up of fuel, boost and pyro comes with everything as in probes etc that you need? http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/98-02-dodge-ram-w-speaker-custom-gauge-package.aspx

Alternator and PCM protection What I'm going to describe is a rare event. This is possible with any alternator stock ND or Bosch or even the aftermarket alternators that are bigger amperage output. In a nutshell, at any point, the blue field lead happens to short to ground the entire short is routed back through the PCM. Since the PCM is protected by a shared fuse of 20 amps this means the circuit board fails during these events. There have been two cases of this which is @pepsi71ocean and myself with the same failure. The only difference is mine failed so badly that it burned a hole through the PCM circuit board making the PCM unrepairable. I was forced to replace th…

Okay guys, I been looking online and off to find something to address my crank seal problem. I have not tore into the truck yet to see whats going on. But I would rather get equipped with the necessary parts just in case. Nothing worse than opening things up and taking the time to do it and by the time you realize you need something, the stores are closed! So, I have been looking into the repair sleeve that goes onto the crank. It goes by the common name of speedy(i) sleeve.I found that cummins makes one to address this problem. I also found that O'reilly's makes a kit to address this as well. The cummins one on puredieselpower is like $114. I can't find it now, but I saw b…

Currently I have a stock 47re trans as far as my knowledge ( Previous owner had it rebuild but no records of the work done). End goal is to take the truck to 300 - 350hp and cap it. I want to build a reliable towing trans out of what I have and eventually look at a GearVendor gear splitter if I ever get around to it. As it stands now though, its a completely stock motor and trans combo that all works like it should but I want to try to get ahead of the ball on doing the preventative maintenance on it. I'd like to know what I will have to get swapped out and recommendations on what to get. I'd rather overkill the trans than it give out on my 1000+ mile road trips with the …

my truck is throwing 4 different codes 1693 1689 0382 0380 and well the vp44 has around 420k miles on it so im thinking that its the pump but i figure i will get some insight first... i was just driving to work like normal and the thing i could feel was losing power and by the time it was ready to get off the hwy turbo was full blast and fuel to the floor and would only do 75 barely and i made it about another 3 miles and it almost shut down and threw those 4 codes and now she is just setting in the driveway....

Today I went up to the mountains and noticed something.... Whenever my EGTs were below 350* and I stepped on the throttle (NOT in gear) it really struggled to rev up. It would buck and pop and blow white smoke, then when it got to around 2,000 rpm it would smooth out and rev up higher just fine. I tried it multiple times because there were no cars around, and had the same result every time. Now why would it do this?? Could altitude be a factor? Could outside ambient temps cause it? Could high timing at low rpms cause it? I've heard of pre-ignition on diesels with high timing but I'm not sure if that's what it was. I will say the smarty was on #1 which is supposed to…

98.5 24v. truck has a block heater but it is 110volt 3 pin. I have a transformer from 240v to 110volt so no problem on that side but on the American plug what is what ? I'd guess big pin is earth and other 2 are live and neutral ? Does it matter which is which as it does here (England)

Pressure setting changed a few times when it was new. Now one year old. Noticed pressure getting lower but pressure dropped below 10 towing a heavy load. Fuel filter plugged? Stopped and changed filter. Nope, wasn't plugged. Readjusted pump up to 21psi not running,18psi at idle. Pulling load now at 15 psi. Thought this readjustment thing would end with age.

So yesterday made a trip to my dad's house to help him with a couple things. When I walked to my truck to leave I noticed some coolant on the driveway. Checked the levels before I left and it was still full so I'll check it hot when I get home. I found a Crack in the plastic tank on the driver's side behind the intercooler. (See pic) Perfect timing right before Christmas and all. You know, when everyone is a little tight on funds because of gift buying and such. My question is: has anyone here used the JB weld radiator repair kit for plastic? I'm on the fence about doing a repair like that for now or just bite the bullet and buy new. RA has 1 for $163 plus sh…

What size fuel line is used to replace the fuel return line with the quick disconnect line past the "T",,, to the frame steel line. Have you guys just swapped out that stock plastic line with the quick disconnect and just use a regular good fuel hose and regular screw hose clamp? Im going to pull that quick connect off to check for air in the return line. It might break or maybe the O ring will be messed up and leak if I reuse it Rick

Went to change the oil sensor, ordered the switch from genos after confirming I had the right part number. Went to install today and behold, my truck fights to be different yet again. So now the question is, does anyone know what year sensor this is? I believe the truck is late 02 before the change to 3rd gen trucks, but I haven't been to the parts store yet to look at a sensor they have on the shelf. Part number for the 98.5-02 trucks is 4326849 and a complete different plug. Also, sorry about all the oil need to change the cover gasket on that side.

I had the stealership replace my tappet cover gasket (I know, bad idea but time is money) and now its surging/ having delayed fueling when stepping on the gas. Also feels like it wants to die when releasing the clutch from a stop. What do you think they messed up for me to be having these issues? Im thinking timing from removing the injection pump. I'm bringing it back but I want to be prepared for whatever excuse they'll spin me. Thanks

Truck started to start real hard yesterday and by the time I've done all my Christmas running it now has a good size leak up near the injector pump. If i let it run for about 5 minutes it has a pretty good size spot on the ground. I can't really see any wet fuel lines but it's definitely dropping down on the front diff. Could my injector pump itself be leaking? It does have an airdog pump on it but like I said I don't see any fuel on the lines. Got any suggestions? 98.5 24v if that helps any.
