Is Quadzilla a "live data tool" or is the "live data tool" a section within the Quadzilla? ( I know beginners = real pain in rear) (edit part...adding onto post) I need a code reader and unsure what to get and at same I would like a little more power. I've been reading this thread https://mopar1973man.com/topic/11729-quadzilla-adrenaline-v2-testing/?tab=comments#comment-140263 and it seems it would work for me. But terminology and knowledge totally lacking on my part. Thanks

I really just want to see if it is just me or if others have the same luck. 3 years ago i smoked an airdog 150. Bad seal between motor and pump burned it up. 8 months thirteen days on that one. Replaced with a raptor 100. 123 days later, bad seal, smoked motor. Replaced with a raptor 150, Big lines from DSV to VP. A year and change later. Dead. Opened it up and I'm telling you, no magnets left. Just a big pile of soot and carbon inside. Replaced with a warrantied 150. Eight months to the day, same thing. Dead. Only this time, brushes as well. I rigged up a stocker with some fittings and hooked it to the biglines of the Raptors, plugged it into the raptor harness and …

Man, I tell ya, something is gong awry. I done alot to get my truck into excellent running condition. The truck practically is "brand new". The list is long with what I have done to the truck. The most extreme of things I have not yet done are replacing the vp44, tps, turbo, etc.Over the course of a few monhs, my mileage has dropped significantly. I was averaging about 18-20 mpg right after I replaced my injectors. But now, my mileage has dipped down to as low as 14mpg on avg!I don't understand what this could be stemming from? I have not noticed any drastic change in performance in the truck and have not had a CEL. Granted, I can scan for codes tomorrow and check just to…

If I tested my alternator correctly... touching the positive probe of my multimeter to the big black wire on back of alternator and negative probe to the negative post of the battery.. with my multimeter set to 2000mV... I'm getting a reading of 1. Does not fluctuate or anything. Is this okay or am I doing it wrong?

Hi, i'm new to this site and there is a-lot of neat stuff on here.I got a question that maybe someone can help me out with.I got a 24v engine out of a 2001 school bus been sitting for a long time so i threw it on my motor stand and put a new head on it. I want to test it on the stand but having trouble wiring the apps because it is on the throttle pedal and not on the side of the pump. I don't want to burn the pump up by doing something stupid for it is a new one.I have already had it running but only at idle i want to throttle it up but can't figure it out . Thanks Craig

2001 24v. Blue Chip V44, Fass DDRP lift pump, Beans sump with 1/2" hoses, otherwise stock. Autocomputers repaired my ECM and PCM ECM- Replaced Lift Pump circuit, Resoldered CPU, Resoldered Flash Chip, Replaced APP circuit, Replaced 9.5 and 5v drivers. PCM- Replaced voltage regulator, replaced 3 220uf caps, resoldered CPU and Noise Filter. I have replaced the alternator and installed a 5A fuse to protect the PCM. I am testing the wire harness for shorts and haven't found any. If I do the W-T mod first, will it be safe to connect everything and turn the ignition on so I can connect my new BlueDriver and check for fault…

I needed to put the 7x12's on the shelf.I wanted to see if i could get better mpg.As well as help my new vp last a little longer.I traded some guy.He wanted my old hx40.I wanted his rv injectors. So he gave me some cash and the injectors,i gave hin the 40.I sent the injectors just to get freshened up.The guy at the injector shop told me they were crusty. He fixed them up and did whatever them guys do and sent them back. So i put them in.I had hard cold starting problems.Somehow air was getting into the system.I did find the return line needed to be tightened.Did that little to no change. Then i remember the injector guy saying something about (They should work themselves in)…

Just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everybody in this forum for all the help you give me and each other. This place really is like no other when it comes to getting help or advice with Cummins issues. I don't post on here much because I don't know enough to help with most of these issues but I do read A LOT and there is always a wealth of knowledge and ALWAYS someone willing to help. This forum has taken me from doing oil changes and an occasional brake job to finishing my first VP install about an hour ago. Mike I especially want to thank you for creating this place and deciding to keep it going. I'm not in a place where I can donate monthly right now but I …

Well the past couple of days my pressure started out at 13 then it went upto its usual 17. Once driving it, it would drop 4 or 5 psi! :wow:I change my fuel filter at every oil change, it was time to do it. Put the new filter in and it is right back to the steady 17 psi. Now I see how people kill their VP when the lift pump goes out and they don't have a pressure gauge!

Thanks to all that share their knowledge. I just did the valve lash adjustment. Only took 4 hours. Not to bad for first time. Thank you Mopar1973man for your GREAT article with pix. Now onto my next project swap out the injectors for some RV 275. Couple more paydays then back here to get the info needed to do the job. The change in the sound at idle was amazing. Seat of the pants I would say 25-30% better running, seemed to get up to speed faster, will have to be careful already spun tires. Most of the valves were loose. intakes were .012-.013, exhaust .022-.023. I guess not to far out for 217778 miles.THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to touch base here and Say a Big Thank-You to Everybody! Big Blue ran fine across county last Nov! Pulled a 2 axle U-Haul across the I80 rte with out issues. Arrived in Klickitat County, Wa. after 4 days. Replacing the APS and alternator seemed to do wonders for the truck. The OSC radiator has performed very well,, even with the mercury hitting 112 here early this month! Looks like We will be heading back east in Nov, with Our destination being the Pike County, Pa area. Hope to pull a 2013-14 Dodge Avenger behind us... While I'm here, the lift pump pressure I installed last Summer is leaking out of the end where t…

Needed new injectors recently so I went with a good company, they didn't disappoint. Ordered 75hp 7x.0085 vco like I've been wanting and after I got the new ones in they are great, even though the test drive was short. Got home to fill out the core return and realized I was upgraded! just wanted to say thanks @dieselautopower for the parts, I'll be happy to keep doing business with y'all.

Just wanted to express appreciation for communities like this. I haven’t posted/interacted much but I’ve been reading and applying what I’ve read. I’m too green to really chime in other than questions, anyway. I picked up a truck a couple months ago with the intention of building it into a tow rig. It’s not a full time commercial rig but I work remote and the wife and I want to be on the road a lot, so getting the truck ready was a priority. Doing WT’s ground wire mod fixed the annoying TC cycling issue and the vp44/injectors sound happier with a lift pump. Reading here has me settled on a Quadzilla and likely 100hp injectors (rather than 50’s and want…

I had my truck parked for 7 days under the covered shelter. Haven't started or drove it in a week. Been Raining for a week and off work. I just noticed a little wet spot stain on the concrete inside the driver front wheel this morning. Turns out the power steering pump leaked a little out the cap like it was over filled but it hasnt been. Started the truck and backed straight back and then noticed no power steering and no power brakes. Stopped got out , checked the reservoir and had oil in it and as the truck idled for a few minutes I could see the oil inside the pump start flowing and pump working. Got back in the truck and the power…

So, I have been running my compound setup for 3 weeks now, and I am impressed on all levels. For 1500$, I have instant boost, 24 MPG, and even when I fuel it like a dragster, The highest EGT I can get is 1280*. Because of my awesome experience, I have decided to share the entire installation and give a few tips for anyone who wants to go this way. The kit I purchased is the Evilfab525 kit, here is the website link : http://www.evilfabperformance.com/shop To start this project I inventoried all of the pieces in the kit, verified the S366 T4 turbo was clean and operational, and then set out on disassembly. Problems …

I am simply going to ask random questions regarding my truck and upgrades, feedback on upgrades others have done....anecdotal evidence etc.... To start off...has anyone ran the stainless diesel manifold? (http://www.crazycarlsturbos.com/Stainless-Diesel-Exaust-Manifold-SDman.htm) If so....what is your opinion on it? I am slowly preparing for compounds OR just a larger single, haven't decided yet. Specific setup is still not known at this point, however I do know I want reliability and usability over everything. In my other thread, TFaoro made some excellent points ( ). I'll be back with more ?s. Thanks. …
