I have a 2001 Cummins 4x4 6 speed manual. With edge comp box. Valair DD Clutch. It has a small lift pump on the frame rail. The filter is an external unit from the LP. Also the previous owner said that it had an Industrial Injection Hot Rod VP44 Injection Pump. It is Otherwise stock. Today when I got into the truck to drive to work it had the Check Engine Light on. So I cycled the key three times and read the codes. They are PCU - P0163 P Done P ECU - P0237 P0382 P0380. I have noticed that when I get into 5th and 6th gear. If I’m not heavy on the pedal that it likes to shutter a little. Like fuel filter is clogged or if your in to high of a gear goi…

On my way to school today I got a pending DTC. I stopped to check it out and got P0500 and p1693. Cleared it and then my ABS light came on. I looked up in my ultragauge to see if i had any other codes and got a P0216. Sounds like p0216 can pop as a result of others coming about. p0500 says theres no vehicle speed signal but I was getting a MPH reading on both my dash and the ultragauge as I was driving. None of this makes any sense... Damn truck! --- Update to the previous post... Parking brake light also stays on. --- Update to the previous post... This all sounds familiar, 1genro had this issue

So, I have repaired the front axle ABS sensor/hub/bearing or whatever you wanna call it, and have yet another pending DTC. P0126 -- not one I'm pleaseantly happy to see. I have little money to make it into next week, due to the repair I just made. Why do bad things happen to good people? Is there any way to keep the Injection pump from failing completely. I just need it to last me long enough so I can save up the funds to purchase a new one, seeing as how they aren't cheap. Anyone got an extra pump laying around?

This morning I started my 01 3500 like I do everyday. Everything seemed normal, after about 15 mins. of warming up, I got back in the truck to a check engine light. I checked the codes, I had two (P0237,P1693). I drove the truck and had no noticeable signs of problems. Is this something I need to have checked out? Any help Appreciated.

Just installed my assassin lift pump and draw straw and I am only getting a slow stream of fuel from the pump.Draw straw was installed by drilling a hole in top of the in-tank fuel module. Drilled two holes in the bottom of the fuel module as stated in the instructions. Ran the draw straw through the top and bottom hole so it would be sitting on the bottom of the tank inside the screened cap and trimmed the straw so it would be as close to the bottom as possible. Ran new hose from draw straw up to the pump, then from the pump back to a T with the regulator. At the T, the t'd hose heads up to the stock fuel filter and the back side of the T returns to the tank where I c…

Hello ladies and gents!! Hope everyone is ready for Christmas and New years and everything is going well for everyone. Now, on to the problem. My brother has recently purchased a very clean 2002 Ram 2500 CTD. It is a five speed and completely bone stock from bumper to bumper. He is going through the motions of basic bullet-proofing (Gauges, Lift Pump, Etc.) I talked him into getting an Assassin mechanical lift pump because that is what I will probably end up getting if and when my Raptor gives up. He also went with the beans diesel sump at my suggestion versus the draw straw. My father and brother are working at installing the entire system this weekend and ju…

Hey guys I am doing the south bend dual dish 3250-5K-ORG with the 1-3/8” input shaft upgrade as well as the 5th gear retaining nut upgrade. I am all the way to the clutch for and the throw out bearing step. I read the directions and it said to replace the clutch fork with the one supplied in the kit. However it is poor quality compared to the OEM one. Will I have issues if I do not use the south bend one? I’m looking for an education on this because to me these parts look very similar.

So I recently acquired a Quad with V2. However I just finished installing an EGT probe for my Isspro gauge prior to getting the quad. I'd like to run pillar gauges since I have had them on the shelf. But also want the gauge to work with the quad. Can I install another probe either above the current one? Or install the second probe in the front half of the manifold?

I spent a half hour doing searches of this forum and found nothing. I thought I remembered a thread where this conversation was on going? Anyhow, I am considering using the Baldwin BD7317 Dual Flow oil filters on our trucks (in my case a 2002 and 2001 HO Cummins B 5.9). The centrifugal bypass filter mod is on hold for awhile. Will this filter work safely? I read a number of posts in the Cummins forum that guys were already using them with good results. Any comments, suggestions, and better ideas appreciated. Thanks!

When I bought my truck it had a Isspro Fuel pressure gauge mounted in the left pillar. I installed a Fass150 and Edge Juice with attitude. 2years later, I would like to hook up the Isspro gauge again...it's just sitting there and I think its cool when it works. My question is, whats the best way to make this happen? Cut the line before/after the current one and run a completely separate setup? Will this cause any issues? Below is a pic of my current set up. Thanks for any help!!

Hey guys first time poster over here. I was fairly active on cumminsforum years ago, but then life got in the way. I've owned my 2002 2500 for about 8+ years now and it has just over 111,000 miles. I had a company vehicle until I switched jobs in June of this year and now I'm dependant on my truck. Long story short is last week on my drive home it just shut off on me like someone flipped a switch. It took a couple times cycling the key back and forth until it would start because I quickly realized that the lift pump was not priming and it wouldn't start. Well it did the the rest of my drive back home (about 5 more times) and has been parked ever since. To be clear once i…

So, I have been toying with the idea of getting the Dyna-Trac free spin hub kit as I hate non-serviceable wheel bearings, but 2Gs is alot of dough for the conversion. Do you guys think the hub conversion is worth the dough on a truck with 245k on it? I'm probably not going to buy them, just curious to see what others opinions are.

New member here. I notice Dynamic Transmission is one of the sponsors of this forum. I see hardly any posts about peoples experience working with them. Anybody here have one of their transmissions? How do you like it? Any info good or bad would be appreciated.

Just thought I would share with you what I am using in my rigs. Had the head mechanic for Maverik convience stores recommend this to me. He told me he could tell the difference on which engines ran it and which didn't. I have been happy with it. It has a HFRR score of 370 at a 1:1000 ratio. http://texasrefinery.com/
