Does anybody know if the little “male” connector with the spring door can be purchased separately from the pigtail that plugs into the body trailer harness? And if so, what’s the part number? All I can read is Delphi. Everything else is gone. Thank you.

Ok so heres my plan to make life easier, I'm just needing advice from someone who has done this, or knows anything about wiring because I surely dont :cool:I bought a GPS with a window mount the other day, and having cords draped across my radio controls is possibly the worst thing to put me into OCD mode... So, I came up with a plan.I am wanting to wire up another 12v power outlet under the dash above the pedals somewhere out of the way. I want this power outlet to be switched, (when I turn my key on, the power comes on, when I turn key off the power goes off) just like the 12v power outlet beside the ashtray on our 2nd gen trucks. Can anyone explain to me step by step wh…

I found the MOOG track bar on rockauto for 115$, and the MOOG LH-ITRE for about 80-ish (iirc). I've already replaced the RH-ITRE (at pitman) with a MOOG unit.My contemplation, at the moment, is U/L balljoints.. I'm quite mechanically inclined, but haven't messed with ball-joints on a Dana60, or an Dana in quite some time. are there any tricks or words-of-wisdom I can get from you guys, concerning the ball-joint replacement work? At the same time, I'll be installing my leveling kit..

After 295,000 miles I finally ponied up the cash to replace my steering shaft and gearbox on my 96 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4. The stock units had worn to the point that it was like driving a truck in a cheap video game. Now it feels like my Viper! Well, almost. But what a major improvement mainly with the Borgeson steering box with one full less turn lock to lock. I definetly recommend this swap for anyone with the Gen II trucks. Well worth the money. So when the weather starts to get a little cold outside my Clutch Pedal becomes squeaky when depressed. It is not the bearings or anything like that it is the pedal linkage itself. I have sprayed WD40 to up at the top of the pedal linkage connection but it doesn't seem to help or I am not hitting the right part. Anyone else experience this issue or have any insight? Everything functions fine it is just a little annoying. Seems I always have to find something to chase down on the rig.

My truck came with a very handy storage compartment/separator under the rear seat it prevents things from sliding around and out the doors. It looks factory installed. Seems to be a rare option I've never seen another truck with it. I just wonder what it was called and which trucks got it.

Hey y'all, I have been doing research into what to do about the steering issue on my truck. I have found the Y to T 98-99 Mod and another steering kit 7/8" with high misalignment spacers. My question is will either of/ or both of be an option for a 2wd? I see all pics of 4wd trucks using both setups. After all the reading I have done I lean towards the Ballistic Fabrication kit http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/Steering-Kit-78-with-High-Misalignment-Spacers_p_1337.html I have been reading stories about MOOG not being so good these days so I am looking for the kit that will last and fit. I have also read about going to the 09-10 T set up instea…

I'll post this here but I believe this could all lead to the thermostat. Anyway, not long ago I replaced the heater core and evap. Removed hvac, cleaned, inspected the foam seals and reinstalled. Now that it's getting cooler outside I'm noticing that it's not putting out the expected heat. I read the heater output write up in the articles section and checked for the movement of the blend door motor, checked to see if the heater hoses were hot indicating flow of coolant, blower motor is functioning as it should. All good. I have noticed though that when I come to a stop light or if I'm sitting still much more than about 30-45 seconds the engine begins to…

Am I the only one with sagging front doors? I put new hinges in two years ago and they have drooped down again! This then rubs the paint off of my rocker panel causing rust. I now have spacers in the bottom drivers hinge to push the tail corner up lasted for awhile and now it still took paint off. the passenger side needs more significant repairs but I want to get some opinions first I'm trying to get pix the images were to big

Hey Folks, Its been a while since I've been here, but now I need a little help. After I drove 15 miles to work, I noticed a burning smell, but dismissed it to be from somewhere else. Driving home, I noticed a slight hum and also some unusual vibration. I thought I may have a seriously low tire. Not so. By the time I got home, the burn smell was very strong. I felt the rear wheels. Whoa! Both rear wheels were super hot - I couldn't keep a hand on them more than a second. I pulled a wheel and didn't notice anything unusual - I think. What's going on here? Thanks in advance. Eric

I purchased a new set of wipers for the snow that was expected for today. The ones that were on there were really bad and hardly took anything off. I got a few wipes out of the passenger side one and starts to smear the ice all over the window at the end closer to the mirror. Drivers side is okay but, was beginning to smear the ice just as I was getting closer to home. Suckiest wipers I've ever purchased! Do Not buy Anco wipers, as you will find yourself being the wiper.

Well today was amazing i had to stop real quick in the traffic circle this afternoon and blam_o there goes both rear cylinders.... Ordered all the parts new cables, springs cylinders drums and shoes. Only thing is which shoe goes forwards? Short or long? Reason im asking cause both drums were a p.i.t.a to get off, but i see short going forwards. Also i wasnt too impressed with the shop who last did them. They twisted my right front caliper hose causing failure. Said it wasnt their fault. So now i question their work. Kinda a 911. Would really like to not have to get a ride in in am.

I have a 2001 Quad Cab Cummins and I want to put some gages on it. Exhaust temp, boost, fuel pressure and tranny temp. What are the good accurate gages to get? Are GlowShift a good gage?? Guy in town sells them but I prefer to have quality over anything. If they arent accurate, they are junk in my opinion. Also does anyone make a rail pod to hold 4 gages? I see 3. Was planning on buying a 3 and then adding another above the steering column????? I see you can buy those too. Thanks

I have a 1998.5 4x4. I recently purchased a 1998.5 2x4 parts truck. It has power leather seats in it and the same exact plug under the drivers seat as mine. I installed the seats in my truck and installed the power seats breaker from the parts truck. And nothing. No click, no noise, no power to them. Is there another plug under the dash or another fuse I haven’t found that needs to be put/plugged in to make them work.

ordered myself up a steering column gauge pod for a trans. temp gauge. Its an autometer pod. I'm a little thrown off by it. There are no obvious ways of mounting it? It came with some sticky tape and barbed fasteners. How are these pods monted properly? BTW, I have not broke into the column to see what to expect yet. I figured someone on here ought to know?

I've noticed over the last few months that there has been a slight loss of coolant. I pulled back the carpet on the passenger side, and noticed the insulation under the carpet is damp. I'm concluding that the heater core is leaking. Here's my questions.1. If I wait until late summer or fall to repair this, and if I don't use the heater, will it continue to leak into the cab?2. I'm thinking this is a job that is too big for me. What should I expect to pay to have this fixed? Thanks to all who respond,Eric

New to the site here so be patient with me. I have been wanting to join this site for awhile so this is as good an excuse as any. The last two mornings I have seen what looks like vapor/smoke coming through my A/C or Heater vent. It is very light and almost unnoticeable but it drives me nuts. It only lasts about 15 seconds or so and is very light. It does not have a smoky smell it is more of a light musty smell but it is very faint you have to get your nose directly in it. Comes on when the truck is fully warmed up at 190 degrees. My blower motor is not on at all the heat dial is set to heat. When I drive throughout the day the problem never happens again. I …

Well after 30k my hancook dynapros as's are shot and in my opinion they were the worst purchase I have made for my truck and they were rotated and balanced every oil change 7k miles about if you are running these tires I'd like to hear your opinion. My front end was rebuilt top to bottom when these tires were put on so I dont think I am the reson for the quick weardown unless I missed something I would also like your guys opinon as to what the best lasting true allterain tire is. At the moment I'm switching to a 285 for shure and I'm debating going back to coopers discoverer st/c even though they cost an arm and a leg because I'll get 60k about out of them and in the wint…
