So I got my A/C system recharged about a month or two ago with Freon and was getting super cold air and it was working great. Fast forward to yesterday and I was driving down to Seattle and my A/C is pretty much non-existent now. When I got it recharged, the guy mentioned that it looked like there was some dye in the system so someone at some point was looking for a leak and clearly there is, just not sure where. My A/C never worked up until I got new Freon put in it and now it seems that due to a leak somewhere, it's depleted and A/C is no longer getting cold. What should I start with?

So there are 2 ways to adjust the door as far as I can tell and neither of them seem to "adjust" because of this one non-adjustable bolt. Here are pics of the mounts on the door and the cowl and the circled bolt is set, it can't be adjusted as far as I can tell. I thought maybe the slots would pivot around that bolt or something but they are slotted to where they go towards or away from that red circled non adjustable bolt, so it can't move around in the slots because of that. So how are you supposed to adjust them?

Hi Everybody.....I'm new to this forum. I found your website while I was looking for information on the web for a weatherhead needle valve for my fuel line.........Looks like a great website & forumI'm having some problems with my fuel pressure gauge...I recently installed a new ISSPRO electronic fuel pressure gauge & Vulcan universal fuel line on my truck. I have the fuel line attatched to the test port on the VP-44. Everything seemed to work fine at first after I got the gauge installed. The fuel pressure readings stayed constant (14-15psi at idle) & fairly constant when driving. After about 3 times driving the truck the fuel pressure gauge started goin…

I replaced my power steering box 6 months ago with a rebuilt box from Napa, . Last week I took my truck to an alignment shop because I had excess play in the steering. They diagnosed the problem as tie rod ends and excess wear in the drag link. I have ordered all the defective parts. They also noted that the gearbox pressure is off left to right .Is this something that can be adjusted by the pitman shaft adjustment screw on top of the box, or should I just return the box to Napa while it is still under warranty? The truck drives good and I don't notice much difference in the steering right to left or left to right. Ball joints were o.k Any suggestion would be apprec…

Anyone ever install an overhead console in a truck that didn't come with one? I've had the headliner down to install cab lights. No wires up there for easy connection.

I am looking for pictures and ideas of where to mount switches in my truck. I am going to have to build my own cubby hole mount for my high idle switch. I am mounting 3 rocker switches below the CD player. I am going to need about 6 more mounting spots for other switches... Pictures will be of great help thanks.

So I picked up a set of fourth gen. wheels for my 98.5 and I'm looking for opinions as to what I can do to get these wheels looking like new. I was initially going to powdercoat them but I did a 180 once I saw how they looked on the truck with a factory finish. Luckily these wheels do not have any curb-rash, dings, nicks, etc. They did come off a 2011 model year truck that has seen it's Wisconsin winters. All imperfections aren't even that bad but I really want them to look like new before I mount tires on them. I am confused as to what the what the process is to giving alloy wheels the finish they have. I am also confused as to where to take them to. I h…

A few years ago I went through the ac system and redid everything. Strong cold air for years. This year, I barely get anything. Is there slightly but barely. Compressor is cycling on and off but not a lot of cold air. Could it need a recharge or is something else going on? How many years should I get between servicing an ac system?

I have a aluminum flat bed. The problem is my filler line is almost level to the tank and when I fill up I to run the pump very so to fast or it shoots fuel out, seems like an hour to fill the truck, never mind the fuel on the shoes. Any ideas to relocate the filler in another place. I maybe could raise the bed up but I like it a the height it is Any ideas, doesn't seem like a lot of trucks have flatbeds. Photos would be great.....thanks

My battery cable ends are in bad shape, so I picked up some new ends and car lugs. Due to my kid taking a short nap today, I only got one done, along with cleaning a couple of grounds. These two pictures are obviously not a direct Before and After. I found out I didn't have a new 4 gauge lug, so did the ground wire first. Whoops. Oh, and the terminals did come with protective caps, it is now installed.

Hey guys, It's been close to 25 years since I've done any 'at home' body work. I was wondering if anyone has replaced their cab corners.. and found a good product to use, or one to stay away from? Several choices on ebay, about 35 to 50 bucks a corner. I'm going to replace the corners, get it waterproof again, and then box line the whole cab from the lower body line down.. Thinking dark grey on the maroon should look pretty good? Now that the box is off, changing up the corners will be lots easier!

Had a seat belt warning light on ever since I got the truck, now after over a year I just can't put it off anymore as I need to MOT it ( Ministry of Transport) safety check, once a year up until 40 years old then not needed. Checked it out and drivers side didn't feel right, 4 wires to the seat not 2 so I checked the ones for the belt solenoid and 12v and earth as expected, jumpered the 2 and still the same, I swapped the controller and it was still the same so took the drivers seat out and swapped it for the seat out of my 3500, still the same, finally swapped the passenger seat and now all is good, warning light goes out after the check, I suppose it could be the p…
