  1. OBD II was stated in 1996 so you truck should have the function. But as to how much engine information youll get I'm not sure... http://www.obdii.com/background.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On-board_diagnostics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs
  2. Well it seem ok on the top but i'm not liking the Castor oil, sulfated, sodium salt this might cause problems with rusting inside the fuel system if there is any water present it will enhance the rusting. Another one built the same was is SeaFoam it also Castor oil but mixed with alcohol. As for there lubricity test its non-standard and meaningless I think they did it that way because it was the only way to get a increase... Now do a standard HFRR test and see how it ranks with standard 520 HFRR diesel.
  3. What you got going on? The best place is Caspers Electronics give them a call... http://www.casperselectronics.com/store2/ That where I get my ECT and IAT plug at...
  4. If coolant and oil are mixing I would not drive it any longer... The coolant in the oil will eventually damage all the bearings. I highly suggest you just park the truck.
  5. Hmmm... First thing I would need to know what side of the fence your on? Are you trying for the MPG are you going solely for HP/TQ numbers? If you going for HP/TQ I say go for it... If you going for MPG I would say drop the injector down to 50 HP, and skip the manifold (or go with a tunnel ram), then just add a BHAF. As with my study work of the IAT you'll find colder the air (IAT) the worse the MPG gets... Warmer the air less fuel is used... So this why I ask which side of the fence are your on?
  6. Got the same problem here too... No pic... Now at least I understand the tappet and the wooden dowel trick... I had Taz's cam cover off to change the gasket but since we where working against time I never really got a chance to look... Or shoot pics... :banghead:
  7. Suggest for either the UG or SG make sure its not in the windshield the summer heat will kill the display... Orignally mind was velcro to the top of the dash and on hot days the display just turns black. Even SG suggest ot cover with a sheet of white paper or towel to reduce the heat. So I move it under the dash where its at now but velcro wouldn't hold on a hot summer day... I'd always find it laying on the floor somewhere.. So the aluminum tray was built and I got lucky... Right now the weather is cold and there is no problem but consider you placement when it comes summer. Oh as for the suction cup... Short story... When I was running with the fire dept I was driving a 1994 Chevy 6.5L Diesel nice truck really but the Chief helped use out by getting Garmin GPS for all the fast attacks. That stupid suction cup mount would also always find itsself on the floor on a hot summers day. The truck is parked in a cool shed for day no problem it hanging on the windshield when you get and respond but by the time yo get about 3-5 miles down the road on a hot summers day the glass would warm up and POP! on the floor it went... I've try licking and sticking, light coat of oil, etc. Nothing worked... Oh yeah I found out in some states suction cup mounts are illegal to use! (Be aware)
  8. I'm not going to say much but watch this video... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=418121314557067951#
  9. Stock... You not really putting out much for HP to require a larger clutch. The stock clutch is good to ~350 HP at the flywheel. But a Southbend Con OFE is a nice small upgrade to ~450 HP at the flywheel hold.
  10. Sorry to sound down on the tech age but... What happens if you forget your iPhone at home or the office? Are you without gauges? How about if your phone rings? How do you talk on the phone and watch your gauges? How about if the battery dies in your phone? Your without gauges again? I got to admit its extremely fancy... But seem like its got a few flaws... Nice part about old school gauges... No matter what there always there. Regardless of the box, programmer, etc...
  11. Way too much rowing of the gears... I'll keep my NV4500 with the 5th gear problem...
  12. You might try looking over here... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/ccd/ccd.htm But you need to look at the two twisted pair wire that feed the ECM and check them for connection. white/black and violet/brown Here is a CCD network on a 96 Dodge Gasser...
  13. Spoke to soon... Hey ther Uber...
  14. Yeah he was last on back 11-21-10... I don't think you going to get a reply from the OP...
  15. Well time to inspect the turbo... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/turbo/turbo.htm
  16. Well its a small step in the right direction the fact of fooling the IAT to believing its summer temps. It does bring up the MPG's a small amount. But what I'm after is to make the truck to believe its a 12V Ppump with fixed timing where I place it. (Fixed resistor).
  17. It's the 3 connectors above the valve cover on the little plate attached to cowling... I'd shoot a pic of mine but it wouldn't help since I pulled the plate out and moved the connector way over on the driver side even more out of the way... But it is right above the injector lines on the cowling.
