New heat pump system
After a bit of tweaking and learning, I got the kitchen set for 72*F and it holding 71*F over at my computers. Very comfy. The bedrooms are set to 70*F and modules are barely blowing air but nice and warm back there. Yea it $13k for the system but when you consider @MoparMom health and medical problems she doesn't need to be worrying about running up and down the stairs to feed a wood stove. We both agreed that it was time to invest in upgrading the heating and A/C in the house. Now if I've gotta leave to take her to Boise for check ups during the winter there is no worry about freezing pipes or coming home to ice cold house like I've done the last 3 trips back from Boise. I would get home to house at about 48-52*F and would take better than 4-5 hours to heat back up to even 68-72*F that was strictly only wood heat. The next project will be in upgrading the insulation in the attic which is barely R19-R22 in depth. So hang on to your seat it going to get wild around here.

New heat pump system
Up and running. Test driving the system now. Very impressive. Louver on discharge auto swings up and down spreading the heat. The fan is auto speed so it automatically tapers back as it reaches set temperature. Even with a turbo mode to build heat or cooling quickly.

New heat pump system
They are in the process of covering all the tubing up and getting the system hooked up. It's already pre-loaded with freon (410a) so getting close to completion. He'll come in and explain how to use the remote controls and how to use the system.

New heat pump system
I was just talking to the installer and he's got a smaller system of a two module and runs good all the way down to -2*F and still able to hold 74*F in the house. I've got a 3 ton system and should do good for the mild temperatures down here. Typically winters are +20*F so should work excellent he said. With wood heat as a booster it should be easy heat then.

Get your smoke switch ready!
These dumb little puppies don't know the first thing about tuning a diesel truck if they think blowing thick black smoke is good. Even better yet. The dumb filming posted their names on the video I'm pretty sure they can expect to see law enforcement showing up to there door.

New heat pump system
Boy, I sure do wish I had the system up and running this morning. The temperature dropped to 29*F last night the electric heater (portable) was set to 72*F and been running nearly non-stop since 2am this morning and the room is only 70*F.

ATF in fuel
Just remind the guys over there that ATF is high in ash content and will create problems for the nozzles. ATF will create this below... You can imagine what it does to the spray pattern. No, a injector cleaner will not remove this stuff. Here is 24V injectors after ATF usage again... This why the ASHLESS 2 Cycle Oil theory came to existence. After 80k miles of 2 cycle oil usage... Here you go another good video... Now like I said 2 cycle oil is a cetane reducer and BTU increaser. Notice how long the 2 cycle oil burns and that its rather clean burning.

New heat pump system
I plan on using the heat pump for the mild weather like right now. It only down to 33*F tonight. It would be really nice for a mild night. The gent that's installing the system has a two module system in his house work well for the winter here in the New Meadows / McCall area which is even colder. Again he's not relying on the heat pump allow but boosting with wood heat.

New heat pump system
Fairly good for the mild climate we got right now but as the temperature falls then we'll boost the heating with wood when it really gets cold. Now I can lock up the house and be able to head to Boise without a worry. Yes, I'll be cutting back being I'm short on dry wood being I've missed my window on splitting wood so now all my other wood is wet and heavy now so that is going to suck.

New heat pump system
Most of you know about what's happen to @MoparMom. Since then I've made some decisions here to improve the house and lessen the worry of staying warm. So with her medical issues at hand, I figure it was time to make some improvements to the house. I've pulled the trigger to install modular heat pump system for the house. Today the Heat/Air Conditioning Company was out installing the modules in the bedrooms, kitchen, and the basement. It's a 4 module system. All independent settings with remote controls. Here is the kitchen module which will cover the entire living area as well. Here is the remote control for the kitchen module. Now we need to get the electrical and the compressor hung tomorrow. I love this set up so far all hidden behind the house. No unsightly tubes on the other sides and very nicely installed so far.
