  1. Nice rig. Very low miles.
  2. Even talking to Ed he's starting to think there is something wrong valve train wise but not sure either. But is odd how the compression and other test show its in good shape.
  3. Monitor & Set Conditions Oil pressure rationality is monitored with ignition on and engine off. DTC may set if oil pressure is seen with no RPM signal for 30 seconds. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/59-obdii-error-codes/192-p0521-oil-pressure-rationality In other words its impossible to have oil pressure if the engine isn't twisting. Time for a oil pressure sender.
  4. Personally in vendor that deals with Industrial Diesel. (CPP or Vulcan Performance) All Industrial Injection pumps come with a NEW PSG for a low price already. Then Industrial Injection has in house Bosch 815 test stands to calibrate the PSG properly. http://www.cppdiesel.com/industrial-injection-vp44/ http://www.vulcanperformance.com/VP44-SO-1998-5-02-Dodge-5-9L-24V-235-Hp-VP44-Bos-p/iis0470506027.htm Blue Chip sorry to say is too expensive for a VP44 with new PSG. Blue Chip does NOT have a Bosch 815 test stand and has to ship everything off to unknown location/shop to be calibrated.
  5. I tend to agree the axle stub does look like its taken water in a few times. The grease don't even look good. I typically use the red high temp grease.
  6. This is why I'm posting up on the site I remember talking to gent that was in the Idaho state and did masonry work. I know there is other people like JAG1 on other that do home repairs and such. I admit I've got a strong abilities and then I've got my weak ones too. Blocks and walls are not one of my strong ones.
  7. I'll say Tom's right on the P0234 code. As for the transmission shift issues I would say it governor pressure solenoid and sensor. (Educated guess) I'm also not very good with 47RE trans. But welcomee to Mopar1973Man.Com
  8. Same here I rather do the work myself. So far if I screw up I've only got myself to blame. As for someone else screws up now you got to prove it and hopefully get it resolved.
  9. Still in all still trying to find someone to do the choir. Are you willing to build a wall?
  10. Yea then that is mistake #1. It was built with cinder blocks and every other hole was filled and rebar added. Wall is now leaning and cracking.
  11. Sorry CSM. Unless you wait a while and for me to build the new ones and the by a second one you can have a Idaho built high idle kit.
  12. There was a member I made contact with that lived in Idaho and did masonry work. I can't remember the name of the person. I've got a retaining wall that needs to be rebuild. The last gentleman that built it was a great guy but getting up in age and didn't anchor the wall properly so now its leaning.
  13. So be patient people I'll keep you up today of what's going on.
  14. Heck got up this morning to a nice cool 35*F. Then packed up and headed for Ontario, OR by the time I hit New Meadows, ID (City Of) the temperature was a nice cold 17*F. It hovered in the 20's all the way down to Ontario, OR this morning. Get back home and the weather center on my desk shows we had a high of 40*F and low of 35*F. Like I said I live in a fold of the mountains so the weather is much different in the narrow little crack in the ground.
  15. Extremely great idea... wow! I would of never thought of that.
  16. You might have to post those both up on the garage so others can read about your "Frankenstein Toyota"...
  17. Congrads W&F... You dropped a lot of weight. I'm not far behind you I typically bounce up to 210-215 in the winter time. But come summer I drop again to 205 realm. I remember the days of being a bit overweight and heading to 235 pounds. I know what you mean about screaming tight jeans and low energy.
  18. Now watch your pyrometer gauge. Also if you got a exhaust brake throw it on you'll see huge jump in temperature.
  19. I'm a mini version of that. My stove is in the basement as well. But I only got 2 vents for heat to rise up through the floor. With the stove cranked down (3/4 of turn on each vent) I'm still producing 800 to 1,200*F on pyrometer heat. The basement is roughly like 80-90*F it really warm down stairs. But up stairs its a mild 75-78*F. MoparMom loves to hang wet dish towels over the vent in the floor because they are dry in no time.
  20. JD it might help to fill out your signature and your profile so others and get to know you.
  21. Welcome from Idaho. I'd got to say the Dodge Cummins looks good... But your other tuck I've not seen something like that in a long time. Something about being in the back country of Idaho that prevents that...
  22. I was just thinking that thee older Fargo's and Power Wagon's should had small block V8's in them. If I remember right the engine mounts where flat. I'm pretty sure if you look at the 1stt Gen Cummins and it engine mount system it would fit right in that old Fargo.
  23. The timing piston slides in its bore to twist thee cam ring to new timing position either advanced or retard.
