-13*F cold start and 3 cylinder high idle
This is all good to know. One time I grabbed a green handle at the pump and was about to put it in the hole just as I realized it was gasoline. You would think it would be standard practice to have a green handle for diesel. Around here diesel handles can be green or yellow. And gasoline handles can be red yellow and green.

trreed's upgrade thread
My paint is starting to come off the roof and not looking that great on the hood. I need fenders, rockers, cab corners replaced before I do anything to body paint wise. I might use a can on the roof just to keep rust away, but problem using regular can paint is you have to send it all off before real paint can go back on. As for bumpers, make some if you got time. Not that hard once you get going, it's the time that's hard to find.

Monday Morning
That sucks, but it's also a good thing it did it close by and not on the trip somewhere. I've been waiting for mine since I bought the truck probably had the lines out the dozen times by now for random stuff, all was left was are bolts and a plug. Few times it crossed my mind to change it just because.

You have a tuner... NO WARRANTY.
These trucks are retarded, but if you have money to waste they are fun. To each their own.
-
Well guys
I would personally use a charger and disconnect battery's over night. As weak as these alternators are i would not take a chance driving around, kinda gambling there.

Everyone post a picture of your truck!
We all have our issues, you offered he said ok. So fair deal in my book, not that you forced him at gun point. Some people have more money than brain or something like that. Good find and hope you can fix it up and enjoy it.

P0336 No Tach, Lack Of Power
I have a spear ecm programmed to my truck and if I use it my tack will randomly drop to 0 on cluster but in quadzilla it still shows rpm. It will set a 1698 code. Switch back to the other ecm and no problems. Not saying it's your ECM but it could be. Like IBMobile mentioned start with that thread and check wires. Another question is have you checked ac noise and done all the ground mods. It will prevent future electronic failures.

Hankook ATm
So far I'm happy with hankook's, this was just under 3000lb and most of the weight on rear tires. I aired them up to 80 in rear and 70 in front because I didn't know what to expect. I didn't look like they squatted at all. Air bags were at about 50 psi, cold of had less psi in both bags and tires. Meaning there is more room to wiggle

vibration at idle when at stop light
Could it be motor mounts or a tranny mount also

Losing power or sanity
I will definitely check for Boost leaks just in case, I didn't think I had any myself until I did check it, boy was I wrong. Got new boots right away, the resealed couple of intake bolts and even ended up using RTV on compressor housing in my turbo. The turbo part you're probably fine, mine was just built so it's been a part and combined with mixed match parts. It's kind of does sound like a boost sensor but I don't know enough to tell you that it is.

2500 payload
Well it's not as bad as it looks, truck did fine. Probably could have put more but was running out of room with topper. I think it's right about 3,000lb didn't even touch overloads but I did have 50 psi in my bags.

Fuel mileage sucks! Please help!
I used chanel lock pliers, but took a few tries, keep your hands clear when that thing flies out of . If yours are bent to where pliers keep sliding off, you can heat just the ends and bend them tabs a little or tack weld few beads, something to grab on.

Cummins vs Powerstroke Diesels
The phone is most dangerous when the reception is poor because it's trying extra hard to communicate. This is not a joke and yet most think it is. Sad that people get affected by things and still refuse to look into it. Take some pills and move on, when pills are only a masking device not a cure. Eliminate the source of the problem and no band-aid needed. Problem is, we're hooked on most of the things that are not good for us. We can change but choose not to, humans are wired like that, and these bastards that make bezilons on other people tragedies are fortunate that most don't think for themselves. Going back to my corner now.

2500 payload
It must be regular not light weight, this stuff I'm getting is light weight at 67lb, ether way sounds like 40 some sheets should be no problem. I'll find out tonight.

2500 payload
I know this has been discussed in the past, but I wanted a refreshment on this subject. I need to bring some sheet rock home and wondering where the limit is. From what I read d80 supposed to handle something like 11,000lb so hopefully I don't have to worry about axle housing or bearings failing. Another factor is springs, which I have air bags to help and tires. I would say I can move around 4,000lb driving in town taking it easy. I've had right at 4,000lb of paving blocks in her before and did just fine. The issue now is my truck is a short box and I'm getting 12 feet long sheets of drywall so the weight will shift more back. I made a support bracket that slides in reciver to help the tailgate, it sticks out just passed the gate. I've moved 14 sheets the other day and it seemed fine, today I need to move about 40+ sheets and thinking doing it in one trip. Each sheet is 67lb according to menards. So waight wise should be fine but the way it's spread idk. I've seen 1/2 ton trucks with 4,000lb of gravel and some rental 1/2 ton trucks with drywall that was sticking out a ways making me believe sheets were 12' long and the truck was looking at sky. So how much weight have you had in box and what are the thoughts. I know a smart one would be make more trips, but I like challenges. Thanks fellas.

IM THINKING VP 44
I'm thinking it may be something similar to a 53 block, some original vps were better then others. But still if industrial injection is all upgraded and new electronics, then there is no 50/50 chance, you know it will last. Who cares if body is reused, no different then injectors.

Cummins vs Powerstroke Diesels
Is your wife on the cell phone lot and this the tumor on the same side as where she holds cell phone. This is another crazy subject, but my wife's sister also has a tumor and it's on the same side as where her phone stuck to the brain 24/7, almost every time I see her she's on the phone. Tried telling them that it's probably related as there are studies have shown that, but as usual I turn out to be an idiot because I'm not a doctor. The least they can do is a little research. Sorry to hear that, but unfortunately it's only going to get worse as technology emerges and humans losing touch with the planet. And yeah Cummins is why I got my truck, dodge has nothing to do with it.

IM THINKING VP 44
If there is such a thing as brand new vp44, it better be made recently with all the upgrades. I would not want to buy such an expensive with all the original problems they had. Between Industrial Injection and Midwest injection, if a guy can get 250-300k out of a rebuilt one for right around $1000 I personally don't see any reasons to go other routes.

New to quadzilla
My Turbo timer in winter is set to 300 in winter and 350 in summer. This may be a little bit higher then other people setting.
