  1. That's awesome man, you're starting to motivate me again to do a few things. How far did you tear into nv56. When time comes and I have my patients I may do the same. Going to be a nice ride when you're done. I should have made videos of all the crap I've done to my truck, but I'm always in the hurry with little time to do it. Had YouTube account forever and sadly haven't posted anything lately. In fact I don't think I have any videos my truck on there, I think last video I posted, was playing in mud in my toy truck.
  2. That's what I've noticed too, since I installed my filter. And I'm also anxious to see what the filter caught if anything, but have no reason to take it out just yet
  3. I'm not sure what I was trying to say earlier ^^^^^^ I think I'm losing it or already lost it. Reread my post, now trying to make since of it. Actually having a debate with myself about few things at the moment
  4. We're all seek to a point and all have our own truth in what we belive and dieing rate as of now has been 1:1 At least we're doing it in style and enjoying what we can when we can. Man this post has a lot of double meanings. I'm not debating this lol.
  5. I guess if it happened after changing gear box then it's probably gear box. I know it's easy to forget sometimes what other things been done and being so sure that's got to be it and then later remembering, oh crap I did do this in between. I know I've done it before, so going back in memory and having random question sometimes helps.
  6. Makarov or ppk is small and has all kinds of safety, pretty accurate too. But I'm like @AH64ID I don't like guns
  7. What about something like a Transformer and the rheostat to control voltage. Look at some kids toys, a lot of people put 12 volt in 6 volt toys 24 volt to 12 volt toys, there is a lot of literature on a how they can control voltage too.
  8. I got my truck with 295s, few years later put on 285, now 265, never 245 I am getting used to look now and actually an inch or 2 lower makes easier to load the truck and rides better all around. Taking off in 2nd is also better. Definitely more beneficial with 3.55s now if I had 3.73 I would stick with 285 and not care about wear ant tear on front end, I fix it for no reason anyway most of time. People were definitely looking at menards when I was leaving with pile of 12' sheets of drywall in a 6.5' box truck ha ha. But it did it with no effort.
  9. That's really good, how fast were you going. I seem to lose my mpg if I go pass 70, 65 seems to be a good place for my tuck. It sucks going places following someone you know, cause they always in a hurry to go 75-80 and then I get like 15 . Driving 60-65 is where I can get over 20.
  10. Next time I need a yoke on rear end ( heard they go bad) I'm getting next size up and having Sadler powertrain build me an aluminum heavy duty driveshaft. With sealed Spicer joints.
  11. Where is it from, parts store? It can be junk new, I'd get an original denso one online or nations for more money. Put your original rebuilt one on and do the 5amp fuse mode like @Tractorman mentioned and see what happens. If you didn't change brushes and/or armature, there will be some extra ac noise.
  12. Your power jump may be from 16 psi up, that's where qwad map takes over I believe, mine is kinda aggressive there too.
  13. Wonder if you can somehow modify incoming air to the cowl and directed towards the blower hole
  14. I like the PDC box, but it would take me a year to clean my wiring mess up and put it all in that box
  15. Do we have this module in our trucks and and anything too worried about
  16. @Me78569 how recent was this batch made, I got my switch maybe within last year but yet to activate ECM. Is there a way to know which switch I have by looking at it.
  17. Have you rotated tires by chance when you put new box on. My truck been pulling to the right just a little for a while. I just got a new set of tires and now it doesn't pull. And my last set, even after rotating them it's still pulled. But anything is possible.
  18. I try to rebuild everything I can, I don't want any reman junk unless I have to.
  19. My grandfather always said " before you can solve a problem or answer a question, you first need to understand it" sometimes it takes several attempts, walk away have some coffee or tea come back see if anything changes. I had some issues at work that stumped me before, and just taking a breather and coming back later I was able to resolve them. Don't give up it's very simple you'll get it.
  20. I believe in your case it's either throw out bearing or pilot bearing. @Tractorman I'm thinking you're right on my issue, that's what the transmission guy was telling me to. He did say because of the clutch your transmission rattles. He also mentioned something about springs in the disc, how some clutches don't have the springs. But I think that had more to do with jerkiness on taking off. I can't remember all the details but it does make sense. @trreed I'm not ruling out your theory either, just think mine has more to do with what tractorman mentioned.
  21. Sorry that's not the sliders I'm talking about, the ones I'm speaking off are round and have rubber boots on them. You have to use special high temp lubricant inside, don't use regular anti seize it dries out
  22. I remember when my clutch on Mustang was going out, when I push it in, I could feel it in the pedal like it was grinding, throw out bearing was dry and coming upart. But it also had a cable clutch, not sure how much feel woiluld travel through hydraulics. Pilot I think would cause hard shifts as its binding and not letting input shaft to slow down.
  23. These wierd coincidences happen just to mess with us, that's what I figured out so far.
  24. Well that sucks, I was hoping I didn't have to pull it out any time soon. So is that bearing spinning all the time then when you're going down the road or does it move back far enough away from pressure plate. I can't really feel anything in clutch pedal when I apply it. I was always concerned about pilot bearing too. I guess I'll have to find out sooner then later huh.
  25. I spoke with Rian at blue top and he said he uses a bigger bearing too along with something else that's upgraded. My next box will probably be from him.
