Winter RV'ing
Well, if you want to use an RV in the winter you need to look for one with heated tanks and an enclosed underbelly. Also look for one with the better windows. I know with mine at about freezing and just above it sucks up a lot of propane to keep it somewhat warm in it.

If you have pressure in your return hose you have some real problems. Far as regular heater hose, I would not use it because the oil will deteriorate the hose causing premature failure. Cummins is another place and you can also try most auto parts stores.

That starter is set by the bolts that hold it together. The brushes are 180* apart for the 12v+ so as long as the bolts are in the brushes will be in the correct position. I would like to see a picture of the other side and wonder how the brushes looked in relation to the commutator.

Light duty!
Hmmm. I am going to leave that one alone!! Anyhow, I tore the tendon loose from the bone on my left elbow a few years back. The Dr. used a hi tech super glue to glue it back on and all is well! I only had a cast on for three weeks. Hopefully yours goes as well or better!

Technically IF you are hauling for someone for ANY type of pay (barter, fuel, or even beer!) you need DOT numbers on your truck and are a "For Hire" truck. Around here the DOT have been cracking down on the local racers hauling their own cars because they are racing for a prize therefore are a for profit operation.

Need help with some issues after no. 6 cylinder replacement...
That is pretty easy. Just pull the front cover and make sure the timing marks are lined up. Oh, here is what I have been able to dig up about compression: New rebuild: 350psi Good Used engine: 300psi max allowable variance: 100psi

Where to jack up rear of truck?
Um, Isn't the jack put under the axle? Aren't the tire heights about the same no matter what truck it is on?

New injectors, now VP shows weakness...
First of all, you are not forcing more fuel at an idle. Your truck only uses the correct amount for a given RPM. Any more and it will be running at a higher RPM. You say there is a miss when idling and it goes away with stock injectors. Is it a constant miss? Do you know what cylinder it is? You can check the temps of the individual exhaust runners to see which one(s) are running cooler than the rest. Have you tried swapping injectors to see it the miss follows the injector(s)? Sounds to me like one or more needs some attention.

EGT gauge
Dave, look at the back of the gauge. Normally there are three wires or four on it. If there are three then two would be for the thermocouple and one for lighting. If there are four wires there usually is one for 12v+, two for thermocouple, and one for lighting. If you are going to wire it up there are two wires from the thermocouple that would go to the gauge. Hopefully it would work for you.

Heat & pressure sores... not a god time...
Be glad you guys weren't with me last week. Temps outside were into the 90s (around here that is quite hot), high humidity to boot. Anyhow, I was installing some "small" gas burners in a rotary hearth at a steel making plant (http://www.mesabinuggetmn.com/) and the hearth was running at about 2600 degrees. No, that is not a typo. I was litteraly inches from the side of it wearing full FR clothes but at least me and my partner there had ice vests on (they only lasted about 1 1/2 hrs before beeing almost completely melted), but more than one time we pushed things a little to hard to where we both stopped sweating. That hearth was HOT!!! Oh, the "small" burners were only 10,000,000 btus ant there are six to be installed......

I will let you know a little secret with the 12v injectors. All you need is a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe (also 3/4" electrical conduit works) and cut it 1 3/4" long. Pull your injector lines and the hold down nut. Slide the pipe over an injector. Next use a lug nut and screw it on the injector where the supply line goes and tighten it. That makes the injector pop right out! Also, it is not time consuming at all. You can pull all six and put them back in in less than an hour.

Biofuel or what
Not quality bio. Bio WILL clean your fuel system and you do run the risk of plugging your filter not because it is a dirty fuel but because it will clean things so well.
