  1. I’d imagine it’s just because of the torque these engines can put out, not so much the speed at which it’s happening. That’s why Dynamic only uses triple disk converters in his builds. Gotta remember that engineers aren’t always engineering for the best application for vehicles, more like, what’ll get the job done and last long enough to where we won’t have to pay for it.
  2. That doesn’t exactly sound like a bad place to be in!
  3. I may or may not be guilty of doing that exact same thing.
  4. If you fill the tank to the brim you could rule out a leak in the fuel basket.
  5. Yea definitely plan on bigger injectors in the future. Probably go to 7x.012 from Haley.
  6. Ideally I’d like to just run one tune as well. How much adjusting was needed from the stock tunes?
  7. Tune builder is only windows based right? Also, thanks for the tunes!
  8. Regulates pressure via a ball and spring system in the return line. Whats then fuel level been? Remind me again what all is done to the fuel module.
  9. Yea I saw the video. Definitely sounds like air, I was misunderstanding your problem earlier though. I think you're easiest fix right now is a new filters. If the problem still exists, I'd check for leaks as @trreed suggested. You shouldn't have any issues checking for leaks that way, just don't get too crazy with the air hose. That'd at least clear you of all the suction lines in the system outside of the fuel module and in tank stuff.
  10. So I've tried to completely delete the app, re-load the tune from my gmail and it still won't show. I tried changing around to different truck profiles to see if they'd show and still no go. Any other ideas?
  11. I thought suction side WOULD show leaks as it's under actual pressure, where as the return side would NOT show leaks. Unless your leak is in the fuel basket fittings somewhere, I think you'd see if it were leaking. I still think this is more VP related then air in fuel related. There's tons of threads out there of guys having crap mileage and hard starting when warm and it's the VP.
  12. Gotcha. Well since this’ll be my second egt probe, I’m fine with it being there and should work perfect for my purpose. Thanks for the idea!
  13. By it only happening when warm leads me to think VP. Has the fuel level stayed aboive 1/2 tank? It’d have to be a pretty good sized leak on the suction side to let that much air in and it’d have to be all in the fuel module somewhere. When’s the last time the filters have been changed? Water seperator drained?
  14. Did you drill and tap the same as in the manifold? Just so I’m seeing it correctly that’s the curved piece headed down to marry up with the down pipe correct? Any reason yours is tapped on the side?
  15. Do you know of any pre-made downpipes like that? Or are they all fabbed up by whoever’s doing that?
  16. Well guys I finally got my hands on a quad adr so I’ll be joining the V2 tuning addiction soon enough. With the quad I’ll know have the option of doubling up basically all of the gauges I currently have. For the sake of simplicity and laziness, I don’t plan on doing except for the EGTs so I can have the turbo timer. With that, I’d like to try and mount my second egt probe post turbo but haven’t really seen much talk of that done on 2nd gens. Are there recommended places to mount these? Any downpipes that come with a port already welded in place?
  17. Ah gotcha. I read earlier about the compounds so just assumed you’d need something like the 17ss so I’ll definitely be interested to hear how it all works out. Also with a 650hp goal are you leaving the flex plate stock?
  18. I was trying to load the stock injectors tune, the no wiretap one and the anti theft tune. @Quadzilla Power This’ll answer your question as well
  19. Nice, I have the same. I wasn’t sure they could be run on a compound setup so that’s nice to hear.
  20. I guess there’s always that off chance but I’d doubt it. Worse case scenario is some does break off and could clog your gauge or ruin it.
  21. What triple from Goerend did you end up going with?
