I'll be ordering a new clutch here soon and I know my rear main is leaking so I'll be doing them at the same time. So with that being said, any tips to taking it out an how to install it? I don't wanna play with an $80 seal and do it 2-3 times before I get it right.

Hey guys, This is my first post over here. Id like to thank Mopar1973Man for having this forum and for all the information he contributes. The trouble code walkthoughs are an amazing resource. I am trying to resolve P1689 and P0215 DTCs. Truck: 01 QCLB CTD Auto 4wd. Pertinent upgrades: FASS system 95gph, smartry and original quadzilla adrenaline. There are lots of other upgrades, but none that should relate to my question. Backround: Truck was sitting for the better part of two years. When I stopped driving it, it was running well. When I came back to start it again, I had a no crank issue that ended up being a bad ignition switch.…

I've been really busy working on my 01 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4. Friday night after work - pull the HVAC box out and replace the heater and evaporator cores. The heater core was the original brass one from the factory, but it was plugged internally. The previous owner just installed a new radiator and I just replaced the water pump about 3 weeks ago. Vacuumed down the A/C system last night, and then recharged it with freon. Yesterday - changed engine oil and filter, install PCM protection mod with soldering in an inline fuse and using a 5A fuse, modify the charging system with the W-T ground mod, install a …

I've come to the conclusion after combing through the internet looking for answers as to why my PS pump pukes fluid while the engine is off, that there must be something wrong with the accumulator and/or the check valve. Its amazing how many people post problems with these systems but dont bother to let anyone know if they problem was ever solved... So that said, I have two options. I can buy a rebuild kit for $50, a reman unit for $200 (kinda wondering how reliable it would be), or a brand new unit for $300. Being that I have the tools to rebuild something, it certainly doesnt mean I care to and that it doesnt mean it'll work as it should after the rebuil…

New to me 2000 dodge ram with ppump conversion. Let the games begin. :lol:Got home from holidays. Truck wouldn't turn. Noticed batteries seemed dead . 10.6 V. Charged them up .... primary is holding 12.6 and secondary 11.8 (might have to replace). However truck will not turn at all.Checked the starter was getting 12V at the main terminal (large wire).Switched relays for starter around ....... no difference.Don't think it can be the fuel shutoff solenoid - as it would still crank wouldnt it just not start. So thinking I bumped something on the starter or something around that ........ideas ??

My cruise control light was always staying on, but the fly-by-wire cruise didn't work. After much problem solving, I finally took the 2001.5 Ram 2500 6 speed diesel to the dealer. Trust me, it wasn't my first choice. Anyway, they told me that the PCM didn't know that I ever had a cruise control equipped truck. The tech claimed that part of the PCM hard drive was dead. The dealership ordered a PCM, but somewhere along the line there was a mistake and they received a PCM for an automatic transmission. They didn't install it. Instead, I ordered a PCM from NAPA for about $450. The PCM came in and the dealership agreed to install it, labor free, since they'd scre…

Good afternoon everyone, This past week my vehicle situation has changed and I have been driving my 99 daily. Since I have not driven it much this winter in the cold I don't think it sounds right. I can hear a knock or a rattle noise when driving it and think it is either a fuel knock or timing knock and hopefully not something else. The noise does not increase with rpms, but it is there. I believe the injectors are stock with 174k miles and the truck has a Quadzilla XZT+ chip. Both videos were taken with the chip in the "timing" setting. I have turned the chip to the off setting, the noise is there but faint. I have included a couple video clips, what …

The other day the wife picked my truck up from inspection and said it smelled like coolant. I never had any issues before so I looked for leaks. Found none. Took it out and it seemed to take forever to get to 190 but it smelled like coolant before it got there telling me it was warm. The temp. (scan gauge and factory gauge) would go as high as 204 and then all of a sudden drop to 188 in a matter of 20 sec or so and then climb back up and repeat. What gets me is the radiator cap is cold even after a 1/2 hour drive and the bottom hose is cold but the top is hot so the stat must be opening. I thought the stat might have failed 1/2 open which would explain the symptoms so I …

Ok so most of us would agree that two cycle oil in the fuel for the vp44 is a good thing when mixed properly ....my question is can we mix other products in as well for other benefits like the powerservice products or Lucas oil or xdp?

I've been considering buying a turbo blanket given the research I've done so far. Seems the claims are real where lower under hood temps and better turbine efficiency are the results. Maybe worth it for when I tow heavy in triple digit summer heat..... But I thought I'd comb the forums seeing if anyone has some experience first.
