My apologies for not understanding this, but when I read the following quotes, I understand them differently. If I set my pump low boost scale psi at 18 (for example) but I set my boost scaling at 20, will my fueling be maxed at 20 psi or at 38? Boost Scaling: 20-40 psi Allows you to set the point at which fueling is maximized based upon boost levels. Setting this to 20 will give you fuel fueling at 20psi, assuming tps min / and maxes are met. Boost scaling is calculated along with TPS scaling so in order to have %100 of fueling both need to be met. This setting defines the Y axis of the wiretap map, 20 psi means your map range is 0-20 psi 40 psi means …

Anyone else experience boost fluctuation with a smarty catcher level software tune while using cruise control? Saturday I was cruisin at 72mph and the boost gauge would bounce between 2 and 10psi. It was more gradual, like it would catch a gust of wind every 5 or 10 seconds. Made driving with the cruise annoying.

I replaced my steering shaft a couple years ago with a Dorman part. The truck was my daily at the time and I needed it back on the road right away. While I have little faith in Dorman would upgrading to Borgeson shaft improve my steering feel any? I already have a Red head box and HD 3rd gen T-style steering. I still have a little play left in the steering which I'm wondering if it's caused by the cheap shaft twisting.

Just a friendly reminder... Take the time to inspect your brakes and all the hardware. Like myself I dove in to fixing my parking brake thinking there was a problem there but really just needs adjustments now and then. During the time of pull the calipers off I found 3 of the 4 slide pins rotten, one rubber boot was so wore it separated in half from the rough rust rubbing on it. Fix is easy I got a set of slide pins and boots coming this morning just gotta head to McCall ID to get them. Only +16*F and snowing this morning. Oh Fun.

Looking for suggestions. Lots of info here, but hard to find a specific good parts combo for a relatively minor build. My daily driver 2wd 5spd would be a lot more fun with a bit more power. I'm thinking 100hp over stock. Just installed a Valair 13" clutch. Have a wastegate actuator regulator that just showed up in the mail. Truck has a 4" exhaust, gauges, Smarty S04, an air dog factory replacement lift pump (100 gph) mounted to the frame by the tank. Was given a K&N cold air intake but not yet installed. Any thoughts on the least expensive way to reach my power goal? 600 hp would be great, but my budget is very limited at the moment and it is my daily driver. 17.…

http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-7531-budget-rv275-24-valve-cummins-fuel-injector.aspx if no one has seen this yet I wanted to let everyone know that dieselpowerproducts.com is offering a cheaper version of bosch's RV275 injectors. They say it offers all the same benefits as bosch's product. Right now they are running a sale and are only 49.99 a piece and free shipping on orders over 100.00. So if you have been looking to get these injectors but are on a budget check out this alternative product. I just ordered mine the other day, I will let you know how I like them.

Hi everyone as I'm relatively new to this I would like to say thanks for the add I have been researching on making a standalone controller for my 351 vgt I was going the lilbb route but the website no longer works you can't buy anything and cannot register to ask in their forum and I seen the write-up in this form which is very detailed and thorough but my main question is has anyone done it here that still runs it and did you run lbb's box or build your own? I'm looking for the breadboard to build the lbbs box cause I have everything to solder it into it

If I wanted to build a tune around OEM timing, what would I set the maxes at??? I've been driving with my quad on lvl 0 all week and I like it but it needs a few small tweeks to be perfect, so figured I'd build a tune but then....... I realized I have no idea what the oem timing maxes are lol 😅

A buddy is going to help me weld together my CCP front bumper this weekend. Is disconnecting both negative battery cables sufficient protection for electrical systems on the truck. We gotta tack weld it together on the truck to get the correct shape. Then remove for best angles to run the long welds on the bench.

Well guys, With a lot of input from you all I got things sorted out a bit on my 2000. First off I installed new KYB mono max shocks on all 4 corners; much better ride! Then came a Lukes link kit on my track bar as well as a PSC steering stabilizer...HUGE difference! Installed my AD 150 with the big line kit between the stock fuel bowl and vp44 and a Draw straw 1 from vulcan . Got rid of my drop in k&n and installed a BHAF amsoil 4510 with a pre-filter. Changed the transmission oil and installed a Fuller eaton filter kit with amsoil synthetic syncromesh 5 w 30 (for less than half the cost of mopar fluid too! ) Also got a great deal on a frantz filter set up thanks to M…

Had some good luck in the last 3 weeks and I suddenly have money for a Quad and I have a few questions. I have a fuel pressure gauge in the truck already so is there any real reason to get the fuel pressure sender for the Quad? I have RV275 injectors and a stock HY35 with a spring on the waste gate and make about 28 psi max. Trans has a stock rebuild on it done about 25,000 miles ago. I'm not looking to make 500 hp or anything I just want 275-300 hp. The most important thing right now is fuel mileage. I'm getting 12.5-12.75 right now. Is there a tune on here that anyone would recommend for my combo? Is there anything I n…

It has come to my attention that my left front cab support is rusting out. Noticed a rusted hole a little while back that is worse than I first thought and will need replacement soon. Anyone here dealt with this before? I can find replacement mounts for about 200 bucks a pair and figure I can manage the replacement for now. Just not sure whether the floor is rotted also. On top of that, what wiring harness is run thru the cab support? I am seeing a small, 1/4" or so loom inside of the cab mount.

I'm sure everyone here knows what a CAI (Cold Air Intake) is... designed to draw cooler outside air into the engine instead of warm / hot underhood air. This is argueably desireable in summer when the under hood temp climbs outta sight. These thoughts carry over from our experience with gassers and I'm not at all sure they directly apply to a compression fired engine (diesel)... especially a turbo-charged intercooled diesel. Any rate the OEM air box is plumbed into the fender which draws cold air from behind the headlight... Atmittedly not a huge passageway but a CAI. Just a general reminder, that diesels "fire" from the heat of compression. A turbo adds tempera…
